Comfortable and good-looking, but not much support -
I've only had them for a couple of weeks, but I've been satisfied with the looks and performance so far. There's absolutely no support in the soles - I think of them more as a sandal than a shoe, but since I wear them at my desk job all day, there's not much need to go out and buy insoles. Overall, I'm pretty happy with them, but the Loaf is much more comfortable, though not as workplace friendly (since it looks like a slipper).

Great casual shoes -
I wear these every chance I get. They look great, are as comfortable as slippers, and are more responsible than a lot of other options. I'd probably buy another pair after these wear out.

These shoes look great and fit pretty well. There is not much arch support or much cushioning in the sole. So if you plan on doing a lot of walking at one time you might be better of with a different shoe. I personally love my pair.

Be wary - They definitely look cool, but within 3 months the sole on one of them completely detached, and the glue for the insoles has also detached on both shoes. The laces on both have snapped multiple times. To reiterate, these shoes look really nice, but they physically don't hold up. I'm not a strenuous runner or anything like that; they're just poorly made.

Eco-star sneaker -
Kudos to Simple for actively trying to create a sustainable line of footwear. The Toemorrow's are the most successful in combining fashion with recyclable function. They are my favorite eco-sneaker by far. My only complaints are the minimal amount of support and the off-gas smell from the rubber. Hopefully Simple can continue to improve on this attractive shoe.

Great hang around shoe -
This shoe is very comfy and perfect for hanging around in. I wouldn't wear them if you are going to be walking for long periods of time, not exactly a lot of support. Great overall purchase and exactly what I was expecting to get.

2 months old and coming apart -
These shoes are really great in the comfort and looks departments, but bits are beginning to come off around the outside (the brownish rubber with the white stitching). Looks like the adhesive is not up to the job.
This is too bad because I was looking forward to a long summer with these shoes, but now I'm not sure how long they will last.
For the record: I'm not generally hard on shoes and I sit at a desk most of the day. I don't think I've gotten them wet, even once.

Great shoe!
Yes, they're a bit pricey, but it's worth it. Plus, with the recycled tires and organic materials, you know you're helping the environment. I love these shoes, and have gotten tons of compliments on them. Took a little bit of breaking in (the canvas at the vamp kept making a weird "bending sound" whenever I'd step, cuz it was a little stiff...it's fine now) and the foot bed of a "bumpy" insole was weird to get used to, but now, after about 2 weeks, they're awesome. I usually wear a 12 to 12.5 and ordered a 13 and they're fine. Enjoy! Cuz they're great!

Toemorrow Simples -
For six months I have worn day and night my Dark Earth Toemorrows. I have used them in snow, salty streets, rain, and dry days in Northern New England. They are indestructible. They look at first like they will not last long, but not so. They are so well made with very durable materials that I am going for one year of use. The pebble pespad is great for minimizing metatarsalgia and calluses. Arch supports are not needed for normal feet. Just look at all the "flip flops".

Good shoe, but wears too fast -
The shoe is very comfortable, it adapts well to the feet. I love the earth like look and the fact that most materials are recycled or organic. The only down fall (and its a big one) is that it seems that the shoe will not last too long as the threads and other parts seem to wear very fast.

Got them yesterday!
So far so good. They feel pretty good on my feet but I could see they are not good for long distances. I love the way they look though. Also, mad props to ZAPPOS for FREE overnight shipping... just because!

Great shoes -
The hand sewn raggedy look is deceiving. These shoes are well made and high quality. Very comfortable for everyday wear. They taper from front to back, so the toe box is noticeably wider than the back portion which gives them a slight clown shoe appearance. Nothing a passer-by would notice, but is apparent looking down on them.

I Dig These Shoes!!
Had these guys for a couple of weeks now and I get a lot of comments. You can't go wrong with the style and even though I would not walk long distances in these, they work fine for a casual night out or maybe going to the store. Order a half-size bigger though, I did and they were still a little tight in the toes, but not bad.

Smart looking and wearing Shoe -
Everyone comments on these shoes; all the more cool that they are made responsibly using recycled materials. Not the shoe to wear when doing long walks, but great for lounging or riding about.

Very comfortable shoe -
Wasn't sure what this shoe would look like in person, but I like them a lot. Very casual. Not a very supportive shoe - feels like I'm wearing a slipper - which works well for my feet. The feel reminds me of my old Vans. The laces cover a wide section of shoe which makes my big feet look less big.

Genuine eco comfy shoe -
Great shoe for all the environmental goodness you're getting: very comfortable, looks like part Converse part canvas bag but in a good way, inside sole is layered with bumps giving the shoe a great walking feeling but more or less no arch support. Do order a half size larger. I had to exchange the first pair.

The Simple shoe -
I really am enjoying this shoe, very comfortable and light. Not a shoe if you are looking for support, but a great shoe for weekend bumming around, and it feels good to be helping the environment. I have two pair and would buy them again, So far they seem to be holding up well.

Surprisingly Awesome!
I wasn't sure what to expect from a shoe made with bamboo linings and organic materials, but this shoe has absolutely become my everyday kicks because of its sheer comfort and stylish looks. I walk around a lot on my college campus as I trek back and forth between classes and these shoes have been a lifesaver compared to alternatives like Chucks. If you wanna buy a comfy everyday shoe that is not only stylish, but good for the environment, then these are definitely for you.

Chopeye Loves 'Em -
I recently purchased these shoes for a friend of mine. His name is Chopeye and he uses his one good eye to keep an eye out for great shoes. When he received these shoes for his birthday he was impressed by the fact that they are part of Simple's eco friendly line of shoes. He also said that they were very comfortable even though they weren't beautiful to most people. Plus everybody loves getting shoes from Zappos.com.

Nice looking, moderately comfortable -
Definitely runs small. I'm normally either an 11 or 11.5 but had to return the very tight and short 11.5 I ordered for a longer 12, and am hoping that there'll be some eventual stretch in the width. A little less insole padding than I would like, but a great looking casual shoe, with a great ethos.

No arch support is a minus; little things have come apart in a matter of two weeks.

Cool shoes -
Nice loose fit, like a slipper, very roughly made
left and right fit off slightly, overall nice but a little pricey, but if it helps landfill its worth it.

Comfortable and Eco Friendly -
I get lots of compliments on the looks of this shoe. The fact that it is made from eco friendly materials is an added benefit. You would never know though because it doesn't look like a hippie shoe. At first it felt a little tight, but after wearing a few days it became very comfortable. I am very happy with my purchase and will keep buying Simple Shoes.

 | | Thanks so very much. I wear an orthotics with all my other shoes but Keen Sarasota is my one and only that I can wear without them because there is such good support in it. Actually, my small hometown store said to call you, they told me it was discontinued and they couldn't get it for me. They said to try you and I am so very glad you have it. Thanks for the prompt service. I will have very happy feet soon because my old pairs are all worn and broken down and I soooooo need new Keens. | | ~ Judi S., September 17 2008
