I like how wide the front of the shoe is because I have a wide foot. I like the style and comfort. I don\\\'t like that there is very little arch support. I bought after market orthotics to provide support.

Zappos came through! I needed a comfy pair of work shoes and I certainly found them. After a couple of weeks of wear I couldn\\\\\\\'t be happier. These shoes are very comfortable. My next purchase will be ones in black.

I have a fairly wide foot and DMs are one of the few shoes I feel comfortable buyting that will fit my foot comfortably. I have typically bought the 1961\'s but wanted something different this time around. In a nutshell, this is the most comfortabole DM shoe I have ever owned. Not only does it provide more room width-wise, the sole is more cushioned than any 1961 style shoe they offer. I recommend it.

Great shoe!
I bought these shoes for my husband who needed a comfortable yet classy shoe for work. They look great and he says that they are by far the most comfortable shoe he's ever worn! He did complain, like others, that the back part of the shoe rubs the back of heel a bit the first couple of times he wore them, but said it was well worth it!

Zacks are the best!
I bought the black last week - got the Gauchos this week! Crazy comfort and style! I have no problems with break-in, chafing, etc. If/when Dr. Marten's makes this shoe in a darker brown leather like the black shoe, I'll get those, too!

Soo pleased...
Very pleased with this shoe...uber-comfortable like most Docs, but wider in the toe box than traditional Docs, which is a plus. The shoe did chafe the back of my left heel for about a day, but the shoes 'wore in' quickly & now is a non-issue. As usual, Zappos knocked it out of the park with delivery & service. Thx Zappos!

Very comfortable!
Must say, one of the most comfortable shoes I've worn. Did take some time to 'break in' as it gave me a few blisters around the ankle, but once it softened up a bit, it is great!

Comfort that lasts!
I was looking for another pair of Dr. Martens that were as comfortable as the pair I purchased last year. They are not the traditional style they are Zack's. Zappos allowed me to find all the other Zack's available and order a brown pair. Thank you!!!

Seam is a problem -
The shoe looks great and the sole is incredibly comfortable. But, the seam at the back of the shoe is a problem. Others have mentioned it in their reviews. The shoe gave me blisters within 5 minutes. I like them so much still that I will try to find a way to break them in, but the part of the shoe that touches your Achilles is definitely the wrong shape. Also, these shoes start out feeling a little narrow, but the leather stretches quickly to fit your foot.

Comfortable and good looking -
I recently purchased these shoes to wear on special occasions (weddings, graduation, etc.). The shoe is a little larger than its marked size, but don't worry that is how it is supposed to be. They are very versatile; you can go just about anywhere and they still look good no matter what the occasion is.

Great, except for one thing -
These shoes fit perfectly, are super comfortable, and I love how they look. My only problem thus far is heel rubbing--the first time I wore them, they rubbed my heels raw. I'm hoping that with time (i.e., breaking them in) and some minor adjustments it won't be a problem, because I really want to keep the shoes.

The Zack Plain toe is Top Notch!
This is without a doubt one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. As a shoe aficionado with a somewhat wide foot I truly appreciate a shoe that has comfort any style. The Zack can be dressed up or down with no problem and it has that trademark Doc Marten comfort. I bought every color I could get. Nuff said!

What a handsome shoe!
These shoes are very comfortable and they look great. They are, however, very wide so if you drive a manual car with pedals that are close together, you might bring a narrower shoe for while you are racing through the city streets.

Smart shoe with ample room for your toes -
I'm really happy with this shoe; I just wish that it didn't take so long to break in. The front of the shoe offers ample room. I usually wear a 10 wide, but this 10 regular allows sufficient room. The problem is at the back. I've been wearing these shoes every day for a week, and the heel of my foot is still sore from rubbing up against the back of the shoe. I'm sure in a couple of weeks they will feel fine, I just wish it didn't take so long.

One of the best casual comfort shoes.
These shoes are great, so great that I bought both black and dark brown ones.
They are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, the padding on the soles are phenomenal. I have no doubt that they will last long also due to Dr. Marten build quality. They also go well with many different outfits.
The only thing I can gripe about is that they look a little plain. They are stylish and very versatile, but this is most likely because they are very neutral looking shoes.
I wouldn't buy these shoes to get noticed. I'd buy them for functionality, quality, and comfort.

Great shoes... but took a little while to break in -
These are fantastic shoes for everyday use. They took a few days to break in, with the only issue being some rubbing at the back of the shoe, just above my heel. I would buy them again.

These are the most comfortable shoes I own bar none. Clarks are no longer what they once were. The only thing that comes even close are my Borns. I was just at my parent’s house over Thanksgiving and wore my brother’s shoes out and noticed how quickly my feet started aching because I didn’t have my Docs. Seriously. Buy this shoe. Also, the Doc Martens Zack Gibson (different from the regular Gibson) are really cool.

Worth the money!
I purchased these Dr. Martens for my husband. This brand is the only one that he can get reasonable use from because he is so hard on the soles of his shoes. His prior pair of Dr. Martens lasted for several years of near daily use. I replaced them last year with Hummers of similar style, but the soles of the Hummers cracked within 9 months. He just polished the old Dr. Martens and has been wearing them since. The Zack Plain Toe is very similar to his other pair. The toe box of this Dr. Martens is wider than many other brands, which works for him because he has a slightly wide foot. He wears a medium width and says these fit well both in the width and length. The sole is heavy duty but he says he doesn't find that makes them uncomfortable to wear. He is a teacher and is on his feet a lot. The only thing that keeps them from earning a 5 star is the price. If you only buy a new pair every couple of years though, who can complain?

This is the first pair of Dr. Martens that I've bought and I'm very happy with them. The Gaucho color of the shoes looks wonderful and they're a whole lot more comfortable than I was expecting, with a very small break in time. Luckily, I also wear an 11.5 normally, so Clay's suggestion of buying the UK 10, US 11 was perfect. Kudos again to Zappos. I ordered these on a Saturday and they got here on Monday.
