These are the best boots I've ever purchased. Comfortable on my bunioned feet and rather full calves. Worth every penny. My new favorite brand.

Most comfortable boots since Dr. Martens!
This boot is one of the best and of finest quality I've ever purchased (and I know my boots)! Instantly comfortable. My calf is larger than average and the boot still fits comfortably (though I don't think it could zip around more than a 16" calf). The only thing I wish this boot had is a taller height: It hits right in the middle of the calf - and I wish it were 3" or more taller. Regardless, I look forward to wearing this boot all winter!

Love this boot!
Love everything about this boot. I've worn it a lot-even when it wasn't raining! The only comment I have is that I ordered it a 1/2 size larger in case I wanted to wear socks. Not necessary. I'm slipping a little in the foot but I wasn't willing to wait for a replacement. Definitely order your true size.

Impressive -
I am 5'2 115lbs, but I have wide feet, bunions, and muscular calves. Most boots just don't fit--except for these, which fit my poor bunions (medium width, no less). Size 7W was too big, though I have to admit they were perfect on my calves; I'm keeping the regular width though, which is perfect for my feet and perfectly fine on my legs. I'm a professor and on my feet a lot (AND I walk to school); these couldn't be better for an all-around fantastic boot (though if you have a more conservative or dressy job than I do, they might not be dressy enough for work). I have been looking for good winter boots, and with these, I have winter boots, work boots, and weekend boots--all rolled into one! Well worth the price to know my feet will be warm, dry, comfortable, all in a stylish boot.

Most comfortable boot ever - right out of the box -
These boots are sooo soft and comfortable. They make you feel like you are wearing slippers. No break in time required, wish they would have had a little higher heel.

GREAT BOOTS -
These boots are very comfortable and must be stylish since I have received multiple compliments on them. The insole doesn't have a great arch support, but it is removable and replaceable. I am on my feet for much of the day and have no foot pain after wearing these boots.

Best Boots for Wide Feet!!!!
With a high instep and wide forefoot along with narrow heels and calves, I struggle to find shoes and boots that fit. I really needed a replacement for my La Canadienne boots that are 10 years old and really showing that age. Those boots were a medium width and 1/2 size larger than I really needed but they fit well enough (though they didn't accommodate my orthotics). I discovered that Zappos carries W and WW widths in the Blanche boots, but I was skeptical. I figured the calves and heels would be too wide in the WW width but they're not. I have never put on a boot that fit my foot more perfectly and even fit my orthotic! If you don't need orthotics these boots actually have a decent insole with built-in arch support. So if you have feet like mine, grab these boots. They are worth the price.

As soon as I saw these boots, I knew I had to have them. The red is just perfect - not too strident; the fit is great and they're comfortable enough to walk in all day. I live where the weather can be quite harsh, so to have weatherproof boots that look this good is a real bonus. I get tons of compliments every time I wear them!

I really like these boots! They are so comfortable. I use an orthotic arch support, which fits fine after removing the regular insole. The boots do not slip in the heel. I did not have to break them in. I walked three miles in them with no problem. I can even run in them! There is wiggle room for my toes. These are the best boots ever!

I love this boot. I ordered one in black and the other in the cherry red. And while the cherry color was really beautiful, it didn't fit me in the circumference of my leg the same way the black pair does. Maybe it is because they are handmade so each pair is cut a little bigger or smaller. Who knows. If I didn't feel like I would be taking advantage of Zappos free return shipping I would almost be tempted to buy as many as three pair in the same size, hoping one would hug my calves better. But I am happy with the black ones.

I love these boots. I've only worn them once but I walked all over NYC for about 12 hours in them and my feet were very happy. However, they are a bit tight on my calf. I took a chance knowing they might be snug. By the end of the day, my calves felt like they were in a choke hold and would explode from the pressure. Still, I adore them. They are so stylish. I received many great compliments. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Extraordinary quality, beautiful, comfortable, super cute -
These boots are beautiful and so incredibly well-crafted and super comfortable. No break-in time needed. I have a wider foot and athletic calves and they feel so comfortable. The patent leather is so flawless and buttery smooth yet substantial and it all breathes so well. I felt like I wanted to carry the boot around with me like a purse (and I don't have a leather fetish...yet). Well worth the higher price. These will last a long time and will always be in style...slightly bulky feeling but in a hip way. Looks great with pants, jeans, leggings, skirts, dresses. I love the shaft height too--seems like just the right proportion. I got the Kate boots too and I love them. They are amazingly super comfortable too and very good looking and sleek. I was happy to find a sleeker higher heeled boot that was so comfortable. I don't like shoes that hurt my feet or back but I like height too, so I end up with a lot of clunky platforms and wanted to get something sleeker. A totally different look and the same superb extraordinary quality and unbelievable comfort. Fit perfectly when I first put them on--no break-in time needed. Well worth the price. I won't have to buy boots now for a couple of years! They gave me free super fast delivery too! These La Canadienne boots are so beautiful and practical--I am happy that I kept both pairs. A great investment is guilt-free.

I'm crazy about patent leather!!!
I'm giving this boot five stars across the board because they are fantastic! I bought the red patent leather and they look great with a denim skirt. I didn't have an issue at all with them zipping up over my calves and I don't have particularly thin calves. They are comfortable, true to size and chic looking.

These boots are amazing. I have to run up and down stairs all day and these are by far my best work boots. And, I was shocked that the patent leather is holding up so well. I would recommend these to any working gal.

These boots are like wearing slippers. After their very expedient delivery, (how does Zappos do it?!), I put them on and walked the dogs about four miles! My feet were in heaven! Now, if we could only train our dogs to walk on leash as effortlessly as it was to walk in these boots!

Best ever waterproof boot!
I had tried so many boots that my husband joked Zappos free shipping policy was for everyone, but me! These are everything they are advertised to be and more. I love the insole, so comfortable. Like walking on air. It took a moment to get used to because it actually supports my arch unlike others that claim to have arch support, but are really just a little bit of padding. These are truly waterproof - really! I wore them all day to a museum, very comfortable on the hard concrete floor, then to the theater with nice slacks, they pass muster as looking good and actually keep you warm. It had been pouring all day long, so lots of big puddles to maneuver around plus it was still pouring. I didn't realize how wet it was until we got inside and I crossed my legs sitting it the theater seat. My pant legs were soaked, but my feet and legs were dry and cozy. Not the cold, wet, make-me-miserable-all-night-long feeling of all the other boots I tried. These were pricey, but really, can you put a price on stylish AND dry?

Love these boots!
The reviews were good for La Canadienne's Blanche boot and I was not disappointed. I receive compliments every time I wear them and they keep my feet warm and dry even during Chicago's slushy cold winter. Worth the money!

Definitely keeps feet dry in cold, wet snow, but feet can get a little cold after long exposures. Good boot for weather and looks nice, too.

I just returned from a very long, cold and sometimes wet, Paris holiday. We walked hours and hours every day and never have my size 11 feet been warmer or drier! I highly recommend this boot for a comfortable and stylish addition to your winter wardrobe. The boot looks fab with skinny jeans/pants, boot cut pants and skirts. The innersole is like walking on pillows. Even at the end of a long day of stairs, Metro, cobblestone streets and nippy wet cold my feet were dry, warm and didn’t hurt. And ....they still look as good as new!

They really are nice-looking boots. I like shaft height (shorter than usual). Look great with a black outfit, skirts or jeans. Very comfortable for walking long distances, and perform well in wintry weather. I get lots of compliments and source inquiries on these boots.

La Canadienne Blanche -
The perfect shade of red and they’re super comfortable. The first time I wore them, I walked about 10 miles in NYC without any discomfort. I'm recovering from a broken foot, so this is definitely a huge accomplishment. I also get lots of compliments whenever I wear them.

Love, Love, Love these shoes. I am the envy of all my friends. They look great--I find them youthful and sexy, not "orthopedic" looking or "clunky" as other reviewers have said. But the heel height & construction are sensible, meaning that you can walk all over the city in them. Wore them in the snow & slush of Montreal in winter and never have my feet been warmer or drier - outstanding comfort. I have short legs, so the shaft height works great with skirts and the cherry color is fabulous.

Not for me -
I already have 3 pairs of La Canadienne boots, and love them. I wanted a low-heeled black pair that I could walk around in a lot. These did not seem that comfy to me (I also ordered the Alexa with the sheepskin lining -- HEAVEN! those I’m keeping) and the shiny leather made me feel like I was wearing rain boots. I’d imagine that the shiny thing works better with the red.
