Comfortable and classy -
I'm completely satisfied with these shoes. I hate dressing up, but these shoes look great with suits and business casual alike, and they don't punish the feet for looking good. I have a pair of ECCO shoes that look much the same from the outside, but are substantially less comfortable.

Runs a 1/2 size larger than marked -
I wear a 10.5 so I ordered a pair of these shoes in that size. When I received them I found that they feel like size 11 so I had to return them for size 10. I was very happy with Zappos shipping and return process.

My son is 15 and needed a dress shoe. This shoe is comfortable and nice looking... a shoe he will wear. It isn't a fancy dress shoe or old fashioned; it looked dressy enough to compliment his suits yet not "old fashioned".

EE width not enough -
Great shoe. However, if you have wide feet like I do, it's often confusing whether to select EE or EEE or EEEE widths. For this shoe the EE width still fits too snugly. I wish I had selected a wider width. Right now, I'm suffering with some discomfort until they settle in.

As a chef, I have been using these as my work shoes for years. I am on my feet 12 hours a day and these shoes are comfortable, waterproof and non-skid.

LOVELY COMFORTABLE SHOE -
I am the wife reviewing hence the lovely usage! Pilot husband needs airport friendly shoe. He also has a narrow foot so it is difficult to find shoes at times. This shoe is comfortable, sole doesn't slip, is waterproof and airport friendly. My first thought when he tried them on is that they had a manly rugged look for a narrow shoe. Some narrows look feminine at times. Love this shoe! Repeat Rockport Northfield customer for sure!!!!!

Made for higher ankles than mine...
...and mine aren't cankles! They're comfortable, but the sides are a touch high and wear a little on the underside of my ankle bone. It's not much of an issue.

Very comfortable. Wished I would have listened to other reviews on sizing. They are at least a half size larger. Zappos took care of me and I received the second pair (half size smaller) the next day.

Ordered these at 1pm next day at 10 am they are in my house. You guys stinking rock--I have now ordered 3 pairs of shoes from you in past 3 months and will continue to do so. I have to get 4E wide shoes and I can come right to your web site and have the shoes in hours. I guess you stinking run them to my house. They always fit and I never worry they are always packaged and guaranteed by ZAPPOS --this shoe is super comfortable and also looks great—I’m on my feet a lot and these will be super. Unreal stinking fast on delivery. Thanks.

These shoes are wonderful. They are comfortable right out of the box. They fit like a glove and still felt great after a full day of work.
They do tend to run big so I suggest that you order a half to a full size lower than what you normally wear. I normally wear a 9 but when I read the reviews, I ordered an 8 and a half and they fit perfectly. Kudos to Rockport.

Break-in time -
Took about 1 week to break in the shoes. I wear a size 7.5 in men’s. Shoes felt about a quarter size LARGER than my foot size. Now, about the service that I received on the phone... if Zappos was an actual store that I could walk into and buy shoes, I would probably never leave the store. Excellent service! Exceeded my expectation.

Comfortable Standing Shoe -
No more lower back pain with this shoe. This is the first shoe I have found that is very comfortable on the feet as well. I do a lot of standing at work which caused lower back pain and achy feet by the end of the day. Not so with these shoes. I am three weeks into these shoes and still look forward to putting them on in the morning. I will buy these again.

Rockport Review -
Bought this for work. They're not quite as comfortable as my Wolverine boots but they weigh about 1/3 less so it's a good trade-off. They wear on the back of my ankle a little bit, hoping that will break-in with time. They run rather large, I normally take a size 13 and had to order these in an 11.5.

For the man not liking dress shoes, these I like.
I'm not a dress up type, but this shoe fits well out of the box, looks good and appears to be of quality construction. The only thing I don't like is the "combat boot" look of the deep-ribbed sole, but I quickly got over that.

A good brown shoe -
Fit great right off the bat! Don't think there'll be a need for pads or anything. Only complaint is that the leather around the foot opening is a little stiff and will take some break in time.

I am a big guy, 250 lbs. and this is the best shoe for the money if you’re on your feet a lot. I have paid 50% more and not been as satisfied.

My husband only wears Rockports -
My husband swears that Rockports are the most comfortable shoe he has ever worn. He usually owns 2 pairs at a time so he can alternate wearing them to work. He does a lot of walking, so the shoe provides good support for him.

Great shoe, MUCH larger than marked -
Even though a majority of reviews stated they thought these shoes were larger than marked, I went ahead and ordered my standard 10.5W size anyway. When I put them on they looked and felt like clown shoes. I returned them and ordered a full size smaller (9.5W) and when I got them, much to my amazement, they fit perfectly! They look and feel great, but I have no idea why the sizing is so off...

I work in the convention industry and have to walk on concrete floors on a daily basis. I have not owned a pair of Rockport shoes for some years, but was pleasantly surprised when I purchased and wore the Northfield model and found them to be extremely comfortable, especially when standing or walking for long periods of time. I would recommend these to anyone that has a similar job and wants a business casual shoe that can offer good support and comfort.

 |  | Truly Amazing! My daughter ordered these most adorable (Red by Marc Ecko) shoes from Zappos last night at 10:30 P.M. and we had them the next day by 11:30 A.M.!!! I took them with me when I picked her up from school and she literally screamed loud and clear when she saw them arrive so soon! I got the pleasure and thrill of giving them to her, however, Zappos rightfully deserved "the thrill" I experienced in presenting them. I have already shared our experience with Zappos with others. Thanks for making my day and hers as well. She immediately had to coordinate an outfit to go with the shoes and is wearing them out tonight to show to her boyfriend and all her girlfriends; yet not even 24 hrs. have past since she ordered them!
