Have purchased from Zappos for years and the customer service is outstanding! These shoes were bought for a friend and fit true to size and look great. All other reviews I read before purchasing were accurate. They do need additional padding; they feel hard underfoot without. Otherwise the fit is great with no break-in needed.

Honestly, I was a bit reserved when ordering these shoes for my husband because he is very picky and hard to please. These shoes are his work shoes. He is a police officer and requires all black leather shoes, and fortunately they don't have to be "ugly." He took to them right away. The ankle height is not too high and not too short. The width is perfect and the flexibility on the sole is just what he needs. He decided to try them on and they laced up perfectly, he said they hugged his foot and he did the hop/bounce in them. This told me his feet were happy. His words "these are perfect."

Perfect for winter travel -
Bought these shoes for my husband who travels a lot. These are the perfect when you're traveling from a hot city to a winter location and don't want to pack an extra pair of boots. They're comfortable all weather shoes, and look decent enough to wear to business meetings.

These feel pretty good!
I'm a big guy with big feet. 220 lbs and I go through shoes fast. I usually put an insole in my shoes or boots, but not these. They really do feel good! And my feet didn't get wet in the recent rains here. The toe box is wide enough so my toes can breathe and the fit is good. I'll buy more of these. I like Hi Tecs too.

Great Shoe!
I bought these shoes for my son to wear at work. He loves them so much; he's been wearing them all the time. He's very fashion conscious and these shoes seem to be good in the looks department, too.

The quality is good, I only wish they were made in the USA, I tried Mephisto boots & the Hush Puppies were more comfortable.

NOT THE BEST!
From the reviews I read I was hoping for a sneaker like comfort, which is not the case. I had to add a cushion insole to take away the hardness and the back of my heels were irritated for about a week until the shoe broke in.

I bought these boots for my husband to replace another pair that was worn. He put them on and from day one he was very pleased with them, he said they felt like his favorite pair of tennis shoes.

My first order from Zappos and was amazed at how quick the Hush Puppies waterproof boots came. I've worn them several times around the barn and out in the field. The boots are truly waterproof and are quite comfortable. I would not hesitate to buy them if you’re looking for this type of boot!

As soon as I put the shoes on, they felt like I had worn them for a long time... excellent comfort and size. Also, Zappos is the best, price, delivery, and customer service...the only place I will purchase shoes...

I purchased the Hush Puppies Endurance as a birthday gift for my husband. He has an EEE foot and it is very difficult to find a shoe store that carries EEE. To be honest he was not thrilled with black but has now grown to like it. The shoe itself he loves. He said he can't believe how comfortable they are. Well worth the money and I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I also wanted to send a much belated thank you for a service you did for me about a year ago. At the time, my son broke his leg very badly and we needed some "basketball breakaway pants" to put over it so he could go out of the house, as the cast was quite large. We couldn't find them anywhere, but my mother found them on your website. She called to order the pants and when she told you of our situation you sent them immediately on overnight delivery at no charge to us.
