Uncomfortable - I hesitated to order these but I loved the way they looked. As other reviewers have mentioned, the shoes caused horrible blisters on my heels after wearing just an hour without much walking. The heel is very stiff and also came up high on my heel. I love Clarks shoes but these just were not right for me.

A great shoe for orthotics -
I love Privo shoes since I have to wear orthotics full time. The footbed comes out and I can fit my full orthotic into the shoe (I can't comment on the arch support since I put in my own.) The Privo Mesa runs a little wider than the other Privo styles which suits my wide foot. I always get compliments on this shoe.

Love Privos!
This is my third pair of Privos and my second pair of Privo Mesas. This time I bought the black nubuck, which has a patent strap across the top. They are casually dressy enough to wear with casual slacks at work, but also work with jeans and capris. I always wear a 1/2 size larger in Clark’s (except for Clark's Artisan which are true-to-size for me) and I wear a 1/2 size larger in Privos as well. Good (not excellent, but good) arch support, good cushioning, good all-day comfort. And Zappos' service rocks as usual!

This shoe is super comfortable, and very stylish. I wear it to commute to work (walk to train and from train to office), and hanging out on the weekends. I was worried it may be too wide after reading the other reviews, but found it to be true to size. Privo shoes are awesome!

Love the look of these shoes, and have gotten lots of compliments on them. But...ouch. They do cut across the ball of my foot/toe area, and I can't even begin to describe the painful blisters I got on my heels. Had to wear band-aids the first 5 times I wore them. Then decided to put some moleskin in the heel area. Works great. It's got an adhesive back and you can cut it to fit (I put it running from the inside base of the heel up over the back of the shoe and onto the "tab"). Gave it a 3 in comfort only because I was able to come up with this solution. Does run big--I had to order a half size down from my regular size. Despite all this, I really like these shoes.

I LOVE them, I always feel so stylish when I'm wearing them! I bought a white pair about two years ago and yes, the first time I wore them I got a boo-boo on each ankle, but that was when I was still breaking them in. ANY shoe can give you a blister. After I'd worn them for a couple of days, they were more flexible and didn't give me any trouble! The comfy bumps on the soles also make them ideal work shoes. I have to stand up all day with my job and my feet were KILLING me; I'd tried wearing every shoe I had in my closet, and these ones seem to work the very best :) I'd highly recommend them to anyone; just try to break them in before wearing them long distances.

These shoes look great, but they're too tough. The sole is like a tire, too beefy, too strong, difficult to break in. There seems to be a trend in heavy rubber soles, and although these shoes look lighter in style than many others, they're muscular, tough shoes. It's regrettable because if they were more flexible, I'd like a few more of the colors. The style is very nice with jeans and slacks, and they're very much a fall style.

It's a very attractive and versatile shoe that looks great with a skirt as well as slacks. I find that it runs about half a size smaller, not true to size. I own a few, but this one feels heavier and is less flexible. It cuts in on the instep and I have a few ugly blisters to show for it. Having said that, the company is terrific and customer support is outstanding. I am getting a full credit, no problems, even though I wore the shoes. The problem is they felt great on the carpet, different story on the street. So order half a size bigger. You will feel it especially in the toes.

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have worn. I love the looks of them also. I now have 2 pairs (different colors) and plan on buying them in black.

My feet run wide, but these shoes run wide and about 1/2 size larger. I returned the first pair for a smaller size and they were so comfortable I ordered a second pair in another color. I got so many compliments I ordered a pair for my sister as a gift and she couldn't be happier. Privo is my new best shoe brand! And Zappos couldn't be better, either. Risk-free shopping and next day delivery.

OUCH x 2! I loved the look of these shoes online. I am a true size 8 and can wear ANY shoe, except these. I wore them for 5 minutes and received horrible blisters. I had to mash down the back of the heel and walk on it to get through the rest of my day out. Every time I put them on, my heels remind me, "Don't do it!"

New favorite shoes -
Bought these in the orange to wear to work in summer, but didn't expect them to become my favorite all around shoe - I get lots of compliments on them - they're flattering, comfortable and super durable. When dirty I just throw them in the wash and sun-dry.

I bought my shoes in a little resort town 2 hours from my home-tried on at store-felt fine-wore at home for 5 minutes and badly blistered heels! I bought a 1/2 size smaller (8 1/2) than I usually wear (9).

These shoes look great, but I had to return them. I own other Privo’s that fit great, but the heels on these are harder and don't bend very easily with your foot, so I got blisters within 20 minutes of wearing them.

A great shoe, but a little break in required -
I purchased this in the light tan or white color. I love the insole--the bumpy interior is very comfortable and never gets stinky! They look great and go well with a lot of my clothes. They have wonderful traction for a casual shoe, so I find them very versatile, but I had one problem with them. They tend to rub on the area right below my ankle, and instep on each foot. Once I broke them in, they were better, but I still worry about wearing them if I have to walk a long distance. Band-aids help, but it would have been nice if the fabric that finishes the shoe edge wasn't quite so "sharp". As others mentioned, it runs a half size too big so I ordered a 7.5 instead of my normal size 8 and they fit very well.

Privo Mesa - on a LONG WIDE foot -
I have a long, wide foot and am hard to fit - 11 1/2 W or WW. I ordered this in a 12M and it was wide enough for me - plus it has a Velcro adjustment across the base of the toes to make an even better fit. I was able to wear them sockless right out of the box. Very comfortable quickly. Everyone tells me how cute they are, and they're right! Good-looking enough for work, and great for running errands on the weekends as a cute alternative to clunky sneakers.

Comfy, sporty and good looking - Privo does it again!
I have gotten compliments on the Mesas from the moment I put them on. They do run a tad larger than usual and a bit wider with the exception of right about the ankle bone, but a little bending of the fabric so it doesn't rub makes this a very nice casual shoe that does get noticed and gives all day comfort.

Cute - but narrow -
I really hoped that these cute shoes would work for me even though my foot is wider than average (C-D, not B). But they just don't. Had to send them back; they were just too narrow at the toe. I was really disappointed. As long as you have a B-width foot, these should be great. Enjoy them for me, please!

I got the worst blisters EVER on both of my heels from these shoes. They are very cute and I'm so disappointed that the comfort was just not there. I've read so many great reviews about Privo shoes and now I'm afraid I'm pretty hesitant to give another style a chance. Ouch!

Cute, but not comfy -
Sized right and cute, but the high back gave me blisters until I put orthotics in to raise the foot. Not much give in the construction, which puts pressure on my bunion. Waste of money for me.

OMG... Wonderful!
I work night shift (7pm-7am) in a hospital and I am always on my feet. I have tried sooo many brands of shoes (from Merrells to Quarks) and these are the most comfortable by far! My back doesn't hurt and I almost forget I have them on sometimes. It makes it a lot easier to deal with my patients when my feet don't hurt!

I listened to the other reviewers and decided to order a half size smaller than usual and am glad I did, because they do run a little big. I just think they are the most fun and sporty shoes!

Privo Mesa Green -
I already owned a pair of Privo's in a different style and really liked the feel and comfort so I wanted a cute little slipper that would be comfortable and let me walk on all sorts of surfaces. These shoes are really cute and look just like the picture but they are wider than I anticipated. Also I had to send the first pair back because they were a half size too big (my normal size is a 7.5 but the 7.5 was too large so I had to order a size 7.0). Getting the replacement pair was no problem at all.

Scarred for life?
My 4th pair of Privos - which have always been excellent & perfect - so I assumed these would be, too. Wore them right out of the box to a festival since I knew I'd be walking all day... BIG MISTAKE. One hour into the day, my heels were bleeding profusely - I had to get first aid treatment. Fortunately I found a booth selling Crocs flip-flops so I didn't have to spend the rest of the day barefoot. 1-1/2 weeks later & I still can't wear shoes. Bad scars.
