Really cute!
Since everyone said these ran small and I wanted to wear them with socks/tights, I ordered an 8 when I usually wear a 7.5 or 7. Even with knee highs, they're pretty big & my heels slip. But, I really love the way they look so I've bought heel pads and hopefully they'll help with the slipping. I got them in tan and they look great.

Cute shoe, but too wide! I have found with all J-41 shoes that I need to order up a half size. I did the same when I ordered the Atlas. However, the Atlas is so wide that I literally walked right out of them! My other J-41 shoes have some sort of strap or webbing across the top of the foot and since the Atlas doesn't, the fact that it is a bit wide causes it to come right off. These shoes are going back, unfortunately. I think they are an extremely cute design, however, and would be very comfortable if they were narrower.

Fun and funky shoe!
Totally unique, versatile, edgy but feminine shoe. I'll wear this with nearly everything. Very soft insole and wide but somewhat shorter toe box. I would suggest like the others in sizing up by half, as they are short for size. These will only get better with wear when the leather softens. Thanks Zappos!

These add height and are great for walking!
If you have wide feet but want a stylish walking-around-the-city shoe, I recommend these shoes! Other reviewers mentioned that the toe box on these is small, but I've found that the toe box is great for my wide boxier-shaped feet. I usually wear a 7 but ordered an 8 (41) in these, and they're perfect -- so in my opinion, these run small. I wear these shoes with jeans and pants that have been tailored for high heels.

Cute, but not able to wear them -
This shoe will be going back. I read the previous reviews about the space for toes being too short, but thought I'd give it a try in case it would work for me. Should not have wasted Zappos shipping dollars! Don't even think about it. Unless your toes are no more than a 1/4" to a 1/2" long, you can not get those babies in this shoe comfortably. Feels like foot binding to me. Bummer, cuz it is a cute style and the rest of it felt perfect, but you'll have hammer toes after the first few uses if you try it!

Love this shoe!
This is a great looking, very comfortable shoe. Every foot is different, so they're not going to fit everyone the same - and I do find them to be slightly short in the toe (I have long toes, though) and slightly loose in the heel. A little non-slip strip in the heel helped with the slipping. The same thing in the toe might help with forward slippage. I have not experienced any pain from these shoes so far. The craftsmanship and quality of materials are excellent and I love that they use recycled tires for the outsoles. Good stuff.

I love these shoes. I stand at work all day, I do not do a lot of walking where I work and they were comfortable right out of the box. People started complimenting me on them the minute I walked into work.

Nice and wide and comfortable foot bed. The leather is a little bit stiff and rubs the heel, but with thick trouser socks they are really good.

Not quite like the other J-41's -
I love the sling back J-41 and thought this would be the same fit- it is not- has a comfortable sole but runs somewhat larger than the sling back and a loose heel and a short front. Guess I will stick with the other.

Thanks to the rave reviews about this foot bed in other models, and accurate descriptions of this style, I ordered these knowing that my wide feet and stubby toes may have found their match. They did. I have long arches with short toes so these probably fit me better than they would others. I have felt like the last 15 years or so have been fraught with long-in-the-toe shoes, so I am pretty relieved to find some that don't look and feel like skis on me. I got the tan and they look like funky sneakers with my jeans. Love the height and the arch support (not as good as Dansko professionals, but better than anything else, including most other Danskos). They do not slip off my heels. I also appreciate that J-41 uses recycled materials. I only wish I had found out about these sooner.

Cute but Uncomfortable -
I read the customer reviews on these shoes, so I should have known what I was getting into: a cute shoe that's just not that comfortable. The reviews are all true. The toes are cramped. The soles are really inflexible. My heels slide out of the backs when I walk. However, they are super cute and I get compliments on them all the time. I'm keeping them because -- if you don't have far to walk -- they're the perfect hipster shoe to liven up a dull business casual outfit.

Great design -
I have a narrow foot and ordered the 7.5. It was a little weird at first, but I got used to the shoe very quickly. Now I don't take them off. I work in these shoes on my feet all day! They are the most comfortable and stylish shoe I have ever had.

Sadly not for me -
I thought these shoes were cute online and I still think they are cute in person, but the toe box is short and crowds my toes, while the heel slips on and off with every step - so I don't think even getting another size will help. It's too bad as the support seemed good.

These shoes were really comfortable on my feet and really cute, but they were definitely made for a person with wide feet. I couldn't keep them on, it's too bad, and they would have made great shopping shoes.

Design needs some improvement -
I wasn't that turned on by the style initially, but the built in arch in a dress shoe sold me. However, I've discovered that J-41s run 1/2 to 1 full size smaller than normal. I went up 1 full size and the width grew, too. Unfortunately they were not for me. I hope their designers keep improving them - they have potential!

AWESOME COMFORT -
I saw my sister with a pair of these and I had to have them.....so comfortable!! These usually aren't my style of shoe, but I did it for the comfort and Zappos had them to in in ONE day!!! So happy with the whole experience, thanks Zappos!

I'm Bummed!!
This is such a cute shoe! I was so disappointed that it runs about a half size small and I wear a ten! Super comfy in my house, but would never last walking. I hope this brand extends their sizes soon.

I felt that these shoes were pretty close to size. Although they are very cute I wouldn't walk miles in them. Overall I was pleased with my purchase.

These are seriously adorable.
Love these shoes, very unique and delicious. They look cute with jeans and will do just as well with skirts or a dress. I love the map detail (map geek!). They feel true to size and have nice arch support.

Well made platform shoes -
The quality of the shoes is pretty good, but they're pretty expensive. I have a problem of the falling heels, which results in the arch pain, but if I wear them for awhile, my feet get used to that. It took a few days to break them in.

Such cute shoes, get sooo many compliments, however, they aren't the most comfortable and slip off the heel easily, I wanted them to work sooo bad, because they look great on, however are unpractical for actually working on my feet all day :(

Nice, but not a keeper -
I ordered the Atlas in the tan. I was really pleased with the look and initially they seemed comfortable. After a brief period of walking around I noticed that my heel tended to slip out the back while my 2nd-5th toes felt squished. My big toes had plenty of room, but the way the toe of the shoe is rounded didn't leave enough room for the other toes to be comfortable. I have another pair of shoes that fit similarly (Rocket Dogs) and after wearing those I ended up with big blisters on top on my smaller toes. Not something I want to repeat, so these are going back.
Since my heel was already slipping out, I don't think a bigger size would help-- as it was I'd ordered a half size up already.

So bummed!
I've been coveting these shoes for months and asked my husband to buy them for me for Christmas. They are very cute and comfortable, but my heel slips out when I walk! The size is correct too, because if I went a 1/2 size smaller, my toes would hit at the base. I've never had that problem before, so I'm not sure why with these shoes. The sad part is, they're very stylish and would work with jeans to casual skirts to shorts. And they're very comfortable with lots of cushioning. If only it weren't for the heel slippage...oh well.
I usually run an 8.5, and that's what I ordered, and they're spot on.
