Great Support!
I'm 6'3" tall and weigh over 300 pounds. This shoe is great for being on my feet all day. It provides great support. This is my second pair in a different color. Would definitely buy again.

Very comfortable shoe, though I would like Propét to eliminate the embossed name on the heel of the insole. It doesn't take too much time to wear it down to unnoticeable, but at first it was annoying. The shoe has a rough texture so it is for casual wear, but it is extremely comfortable. No break-in needed. And phenomenal service by Zappos. The only way it could have been faster is if they sent the shoes before I ordered them. Zappos is less expensive AND fast!

The Village Walker is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The fit is great and the sizes is what they say it is. I would recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a comfortable shoe that looks great.

Ok not great -
Have purchased a number of shoes from Zappos and Propet in particular and have been thrilled with the comfort and look from all. These shoes are just not quite as comfortable with a shallower toe box and for some reason they feel hot on my feet. There is nothing inherently wrong with the shoe but these were to be my primary work shoe and I think I will relegate them to a secondary role and wear one of the other shoes I got at Zappos as my primary.

Long lasting -
Certainly a 1,000 miles of use or more. The top of the shoe shows little wear over time. My husband averages 10 miles a day in these shoes. This is the fourth pair of these shoes.

Not the dream my feet were hoping for -
I am on my feet all day at work (~10 hrs.) and was looking for a shoe that would look more professional than my running shoes. These look better, but by the end of the day the bottom of my heel is sore and my foot fatigued. They are definitely better than a regular work shoe, but I am going to have to keep wearing the running shoes.

Shoes are a very comfortable fit. They have a nice soft feel underfoot. I find at the end of the workday that my legs/feet are not as tired. Could use a little more arch support.

I have wide feet with a high arch. I needed a shoe that would fit those casual times from around the house to in the office on Fridays. This shoe is wonderfully comfortable and keeps the foot dry.

True to size I have a hard time finding a nice fitting much less looking shoe for my husbands foot size 15 EEE I have to say he slipped these babies on and if I don't remind him before bed I feel he would sleep with them on... COMFORTABLE!!!

Wow, super wide!
My whole life I've looked for a comfortable shoe that's super wide, these are it! I've got a short, very wide foot with a huge instep and these fit great. The only downside I experienced was the stitching came out on the side after a few months. Very comfortable shoe.

Great fit right out of the box. Third pair I've bought. But there's a squeak in the inner lining when I walk. I hope it goes away with time.

The right shoe for the wider than average foot -
Finding shoes that are comfortable for wide feet is very difficult. I have a closet full of boxes of new shoes that I will never wear. Maker who make wide sizes normally don't know what they're doing. They adjust part of the shoe, but not others to accommodate this different foot shape. Unfortunately, they rarely ever succeed in producing a comfortable shoe. This is not the case with Propet Village Walkers. This is my second purchase of the same shoe. It fits well, doesn't look like clown shoes, and above all is very COMFORTABLE. I can wear them all day and not be plagued by foot pain. If you have wide feet, and are tired of throwing money away on shoes that don't fit, give these a try. You won't be disappointed.

Village Walker -
I have, basically, two pairs of shoes: the brown Village Walkers and the black Village Walkers. I mentioned to a masseuse that my feet were hurting of late, to which she responded that a lot of that could be cured by wearing comfortable shoes. Even though I did a considerable amount of walking in my daily commute that had not occurred to me. After all, one goes to the office in dress shoes, right? So I bought a pair of Village Walkers and very soon thereafter, I bought another pair.
I alternate them to allow them to breathe, so that means I wear each pair either two or three days during the week. I've worn these two pairs for a couple of years now. The laces are beginning to fray, and they've collected a few minor scuffs, but the soles do not seem to be wearing down at all.
I need a wide, comfortable shoe way, way more than I need style. You would not want to wear this shoe if you were out trying to make a good impression on a woman. Going dancing? Leave 'em at home and take your dressy or even your casual leather-soled slip-ons. But if you're going to be pounding the pavement and carrying a load as well, buy the Village Walker and just try to wear them out.

I love the shoe but it tends to get very wide too soon and gives limited support.
I have back problems and have a hard time finding the right shoe to give me support.
I am 6'8" and over 300 lbs and put a lot of wear and tear on the shoe because I use them everyday.
If you can recommend a shoe that gives support I would like to give it a try.

Love Propét!
I have peripheral neuropathy and have difficulty finding shoes that I can tolerate. Propét is by far the best brand I have found yet. I have tried numerous much more expensive brands, only to not be able to wear them for very long without my feet hurting.

Good shoe for price -
First impression was that of a clunky looking shoe. It's comfortable enough to forgive the look over time. I ordered a Narrow size 12- closer to a D then a B but nothing a thick sock can't fix. Holds my heel well and does not wrinkle much when laced snug. No arch support to speak of but that works with my flat feet. Very well made, nice stitching, leather, insole etc. Cheaper than the Clarks I'm used to wearing, and just as comfortable. Buying from Zappos was , as always, a pleasure.
