Love these shoes, my third pair. Great for trail running; have yet to turn an ankle despite running over roots and rocks. Good in wet weather and leaves too.

These shoes are the best. This is my third pair and the first haven't even worn out yet, but I just keep fearing Five Ten will discontinue them so I keep buying more. Great grip on the rock for steep approaches and, even more important, on tricky descents. Snug, but not too tight and fully adjustable, keeps my feet from wobbling. Comfy, but secure. I wear one pair to work as I work 12 hour shifts in a hospital, on my feet all the time. Can't say enough good about these for my feet.

Good review advice helped my purchase -
I ordered both my usual size & a 1/2 size larger in this shoe & found the review advice of others was correct - 1/2 size larger was needed. My usual size felt too short in the toe box (I have regular, med. width feet with no special needs). I think it is a very comfortable shoe. I'm still getting used to the sage green color, but will keep these as they will be great for long trail walks.

SHORT!!
This shoe is SMALL. I ordered a 9.5 and it felt like an 8.5. If you have narrow heels or have problems with your heels slipping in shoes I would not recommend these.

The Best Outdoor Shoe Ever -
I bought these for trekking in Alaska-needed something waterproof and with serious support as am recovering from major foot injuries. My feet have been warm, dry and comfortable completely. The support is superb. Couldn't ask for anything better.

These are one of the best shoes I've ever owned. I wore them mountain bike riding and hiking. The rubber sole makes them grip just about any surface perfectly. Very comfortable shoe.

Great shoe! Good buying experience with Zappos as well...
I was looking for a shoe that wouldn't be as slippery on the rocks since a pair I bought recently was as slick as glass and I have the skinned up arm to prove it! But I also wanted a pair that made good hikers. These fit the bill, I love these shoes! I have already put 30-40 miles on them and they are great, the one area that is a little weak is arch support but I have high arches other than that the comfort level is great! I'd like to see more 5-10 shoes on Zappos to choose from.

Every order I have placed with Zappos has been a good experience. Many times you upgrade the shipping on your own and I have the item overnight (as occurred with an order I placed yesterday - the item is out for delivery already!) I am in business and know that that is not something you have to do; so I just wanted to say thank you. It's little things like that that make a good service a great service.
