How do I love these shoes? It's impossible to explain just how perfect these sandals are. First they're Birkenstocks, which means they're orthopedically sound as I've been told by my Podiatrist because they have a firm sole and proper foot support, most especially the deep heel cup that keeps your foot from sliding around. Second this model is the only one with a high arch support for the instep. I have been undervaluing good arch support most of my life, but with these shoes on my feet don't hurt at all. Even when standing on them for hours. They've also corrected my knees and back alignment so they no longer hurt as well. The best part about these shoes are they're in regular width, which you can't get anywhere else, not even from Birkenstock directly. How Zappos had them in stock in my size I'll never know, but I couldn't be more grateful. And the free shipping always makes ordering shoes online an easy process with peace of mind if I have to return them. Thank you Zappos.com for another great pair of shoes.

Sooo comfortable! I definitely recommend it, especially in soft footbed. Try to avoid water though, it can damage the cork portion of the sandal.

I have had foot problems off and on for 15 years. Although I would rather go barefoot, I cannot. These high arch Birkies are the best shoes/sandals I have ever had. They support so well. Foot pain is no longer my constant companion. I also ordered a narrow even though I'm usually a med. width. They are the greatest! Do wish they came in more colors, but I am so grateful I have sandals I can wear without foot pain.

Love my Birkenstocks. My feet can't live without them. Though this style is acceptable, I would really love to have the three strap version still available. My one quibble with this pair is that they run extra wide. I have the straps as tight as they'll go and they are still too loose, unheard of! I will be adding another hole to the straps. The lazy side of me wishes the straps where more rigid so I didn't have to work to get my feet into them.

I have never had the money to purchase a real pair of Birkenstocks before, but I really love these. The leather is a bit floppy and it makes it difficult to easily slip my feet into these, but the comfort and fit are second to none.

The arch on these shoes is much higher than the regular Birkenstocks. I got it for plantar fasciitis, and I really like the high arch. Even though I got a narrow, the shoe could still be a bit tighter in width, but I\'ll probably just make another hole in the strap one of these days. Just what I wanted/needed. Wish they had other styles.

I love my Birks. I have problems with my feet, especially the arches, which have always been high. These shoes have built in supports in the sandal so I can wear open shoes. I have always had Birkenstocks, so I am glad they have shoes with built in support. Thanks!

Relief for fallen arches!
I love these high arch Birkenstocks. They provide great relief from pain from fallen arches and plantar fasciitis. These sandals provide even better support than the regular Birkis. Birkenstock sandals are the only thing I can wear without orthotics. Wish they came in other leather colors and finishes!

It's a Birkenstock. In other words, it's wonderfully comfortable, infinitely adjustable, and horribly hideous. The high arch is a great option for more support; I just wish it were available in more colors and styles. Some of the patent Birko-whatevers aren't as ugly, so it would be great to have the high arch in a style that is more fun. I've had many sprained, broken toes and strained calves, and this shoe is always the first one I'm able to wear again.

I got these for my son! He is 13 and has flat feet, etc. He needed something the run into after school. He has not been in tears because of foot pain since he started wearing them. I was afraid that he would shun them but the comfort makes it all worth it! Happy!

Great for fallen arch -
I was recently diagnosed with "splay" foot which is a way the arch falls. This shoe helped me very much with the crippling pain I was experiencing. I got this and the high arch clog and I am nearly pain free!

Great support and comfort for flat feet.
Bought these sandals for my teenage daughter who is very active in sports, but suffers pain because of collapsed arches. She wears these whenever she can and finds them very comfortable and supportive. Not so pretty, but they do the job. It would be great if they made these high arch sandals in different colors, patterns, and styles.

Great footwear for Plantar Fasciitis -
These are one of only a few brands of shoes I can wear without my orthortic. I can walk in comfort in these sandals. I wear a 37 narrow.

This has helped with heel spurs.
I would like the high arch sandal to come in a more attractive color. Also, I would like it to be offered in leather, the suede is limp and more difficult to slip on.

They stretch to fit but GREAT arch support -
I have plantar fasciitis and needed some serious arch support. I bought the size 40 (normally wear a 9) and they were too loose so I switched for a 39. After wearing them for 2 weeks with socks since it was winter they stretched on the top...I would highly recommend a 38 if you wear a 9. But as far as the PF goes these are a GREAT alternate shoe to a cushioned one like my Asics sneakers and Rx Crocs.

Too bad high arch had so few styles -
The high arch support is excellent. Soft leather feels nice on barefoot. My complaint is for each sandal I must bend down and hold top up while inserting foot--it’s not a simple step-in process.

Rare comfort for high arch foot -
My wife is greatly pleased with her Arizona high arch Birkenstocks. Difficult decision to go with narrow over regular width turned out to be correct. Regular would have been too wide. The design is still feminine enough and can be complimented with a good choice of socks. If she is happy, I am happy.

Birkenstock Arizona -
These are the best sandals that my son has worn. I got the high arch and it makes all the difference in the world for his feet. He wears these all the time and his feet feel wonderful. He has always complained in the past about wearing sandals that hurt when he walks on then for a long period of time. The only other sandal that would be a close second would be Ecco. As for Zappos and ordering, it is the easiest thing to do. I ordered the sandals one day and they came the next. You people are awesome. Thank you!!!

Fantastic sandal - For those of us who have high arches and get horrible pains in the feet when wearing flats, this is our shoe! Also, I wear a C width and usually have issues with that (Bs are too narrow, Ds are too wide) but with this shoe it's perfect. All I have to do is adjust the straps.

Love this shoe!!!
I have a very high arch and normally wear orthotics. These shoes give me excellent support and it is so nice to be able to wear a sandal and not have to wear the orthotic. I would like to see more of the Birkenstocks with the high arch footbed and I would like to see more variety in the color and also I would like to see this available in the smooth leather rather than the suede. I normally take a 6 1/2 wide in a closed shoe, but I got the 36 Regular in this and it was perfect.

All my kids wear and love. If you have a narrow foot remember they run a bit wide; but they won’t wear anything else.

5th pair -
My husband has had 4 previous pairs of Birkenstocks and they were great. He has a very high arch though and when I saw these, I was very curious. He loves them. It is very hard to find a pair of shoes that are wide with high arch support but these fill the bill.

Superior arch support, but blister problems -
Since I retired three months ago, I've been trying to get back in shape and I'm mowing a 3-acre yard about every 5-6 days. Foot problems - ouch. I realized it was my left arch and other shoes (Clark) and sandals (Reef) have not helped and since I have a high arch anyway, I ordered these. These are my first Birkenstocks. I wore them mowing on the first day - blisters. Big painful blisters… but then I read the warning to break them in 15-20 minutes/day. It's been about a month now and I still get blisters. The arch support is like a rock - not sure if that's good or bad. I normally wear a 4E shoe and the standard width Birkie is plenty wide. Last week I wore them to a Cubs game - had to walk 1.5 miles each way - more big blisters (on toes, on heels). That said, in all honesty, I wear them every day now. They support my arch like they were carved from wood specifically for my foot. They aren't the comfort sandal I'd expected though.

Birkenstocks for my husband!
We ordered these for my husband...he is REALLY picky about what goes on his feet!!
