Heavy like a boulder!
I thought these boots were really cute and it was just what I needed for winter even though I live in balmy California. You still want to have cute, functional boots. They showed that the deco pink was a discontinued color and they didn't have my size left. I even called other websites' customer service and they called the manufacturer for me. I really wanted these boots in this color. No luck. So I gave my email so Zappos could notify me if they ever got this color in. Well, after only a few weeks, they had it somehow! Size 8! So I ordered them. That was a year ago. They are cute and warm, but, get this, they are HEAVY, bulky, and big! They fit pretty true to size, (run a 1/2 size big) but lifting your feet up to walk is like having bricks strapped to your feet! When you walk, you feel like Herman Munster. These Sorel’s are a whole pound each boot more than my husband's size 9 1/2 regular buff Sorel Caribous! Not only that, the shaft is so high up the calf that I can hardly move my ankle to drive properly - it takes practice and is uncomfortable when it hits your calf every time you change from accelerator to brake. I hung onto them for a year - I was hoping I would get used to the idea of the heavy weight and clunkiness, but they just gathered dust in the closet.
I suggest ordering instead the Sorel Snowbirds.
I bought these in the rootbeer color and they are a lot lighter, more trim and less bulky, and really cute with the fur on top. Plus, they are not as toasty as the Caribous, so they are perfect for California's balmy weather. I also have LL Bean's Storm Chasers which are also lighter weight and less chunky.

Boots you can conquer the world in -
These are the coolest boots I have ever had- and not just because of the cute pink color I got. They are totally waterproof right after I got them I went walking my dog in the pouring rain and trampled through every puddle I could possibly find. There was tons of flooding going on in my neighborhood so I was literally in 2 feet of water. My dog thought I had lost my mind. My feet stayed bone dry and wonderfully toasty. The construction of the boot is incredibly solid, they feel almost like skiing boots they are so solid. When I wear these boots I feel like I can conquer the world, like a superhero. I love that they come in such cute colors too. Why not have fun boots? I was going to get a size 5 because I read the other reviews about how the sizes are larger than marked but they didn’t have to in the color I wanted so I got a size 6 and good thing I did because they fit perfectly. So these are awesome boots and I heartedly recommend them. The only problem I’ve seen is that they cause severe shoe envy because they are so awesome; everyone at my work is trying to steal them because they love them. Also they are definitely winter boots, they are a little too toasty to use just as rain boots as I’ve been using them. Well since it’s summer and even in Boston it doesn’t snow in June. I hope. My feet got a bit sweaty when just using them as rain boots. But all in all awesome boots, I almost can’t wait till winter or rain so I can wear them again!!! Well...almost.

Nice but too big & bulky -
I liked the color of the Deco Pink, but they were gigantic! I am between an 8 1/2 & a 9. I ordered the 9 thinking that wearing thick socks would work well. The 9s were huge! I returned & ordered the size 8. I couldn't believe how big these were, too! However, I tried to get used to the big, bulky factor. But, the boot was too stiff & bulky...it looked weird on. Instead, I returned and ordered the Sorel Cumberland - those are awesome! They are not the stiff leather of the Caribou, so there is some flexibility & it doesn't look like you have huge blocks on your feet.

Where utility and style make them fun -
I love my new Sorels. I live in New Hampshire and am outside so much of the day. My feet are always warm and always dry and what gives me the biggest kick of all is the great color. I smile when I put these boots on because I know I will be toasty and I just love that something so utilitarian can look fun...what a gas!!!

Good for snow-
These boots are SO warm. Perfect for shoveling snow (or just playing in it). They're heavy duty and also quite heavy so I wouldn't wear them to school or anything. Basically, they belong outside. And I love the purple color. And you can tell that they are very good quality. Wear them with thick socks.

Itchy and heavy -
I bought these boots last winter to wear as a warm winter boot, but soon realized that if you aren't wearing a bulky winter sock, the "felt" lining really starts to chafe your leg and makes wearing the boots unbearable. Of course, this was after walking around in them for a few hours, but I would expect a boot to have comfortable lining. I, too, thought the boots were heavy and having them a little taller would help, so you could tuck your pants into them. I wear a 7.5 in shoes, and I ended up getting a 7, which fit pretty comfortably. Zappos was great with their delivery and returns!

After reading the reviews, I still wasn't really sure what size to get since I can wear anything from a 5 1/2 to a 7. So I ordered both a 6 and a 7. The 6 was perfect. I sent the 7's back (free shipping)and Zappo's e-mailed me within a week that thay received the boots and credited my account. Let the snow fall, I'm ready!!

Awesome boots, very cute! Just make sure if you wear 1/2 size, to order the next size up. I normally wear an 8.5 and needed the 9 in these.

Warmest boots ever!
I got the powder blue pair at the end of last winter. They are smokin'!!! Cute boot, too. They are a little stiff but it's a leather upper and I expect it will break in with wear. It helps protect the ankle I sprained last fall! I use them for snow not for driving till they're broken in better. Lots of room for thicker socks. I wear an 8 1/2 or 9 so I got the 8 1/2. Fits great. Thanks Zappos!

I ordered these boots in a sz. 8, I normally wear an 8.5 and these were definitely a 1/2 size too small! The boots are very bulky and stiff, making it hard to walk in them. A really cute boot, but too clunky and heavy for me.

I love the look of these boots! I got them in deco pink and they look so cute, totally different from other snow boots I have seen. It is the middle of the summer, so unfortunately I can't tell you how well they actually feel in the snow. I usually wear size 7 1/2, and after reading the reviews I ordered a 7 and they are snug, my toes are right on the edge of the boot, so I have to tighten the laces. The 7 1/2, would have been perfect with thick socks. I would exchange them but they don't have them anymore. Zappos has amazing service!! One of the best online stores I have visited!!!

Perfect Snow Boot -
Zappos did it again. Shipping was AMAZINGLY fast. Who could beat the price. Up here in Connecticut winters get pretty cold. I wanted a boot I could walk the dog when there is over a foot of snow in but also a pair I could just slip under a pair of jeans if I wanted to head out on a cold winter day. These boots are great. I got the Air color and the contrast against the black foot-bed area looks very stylish. I am usually a size 7 with a wider than normal foot. I ordered a size 7 and a size 6. The 7 ended up being way too big even with a thicker sock. I recommend going down a full size if you can. Like others have said, it's not a petite boot and a little bulky but they are not uncomfortable to walk in. Between the quality and the price. You can't go wrong!

I only planned on buying boots for myself, but when I saw the prices I figured why not get them for the whole family---6 pairs of 'em!! I ordered the Mallow, Red, Air & Gaucho. Wonderful pair of boots!!!
I just bought these boots in Deco Pink and they are very comfortable and stylish. Being warned about the size issue, I was concerned if I should order my normal size or a size smaller. My sister got ahead of me and ordered these same boots a size smaller than she normally wears and they fit tight, so with this knowledge I went ahead and ordered my regular size and I'm glad I did. The fit was a little bit bigger than I usually wear but it gives me room for socks. I can't wait to move to Rhode Island in the winter so I can use these boots. Zappos you are amazing!!! These boots are soooo cute!! I bought the deco pink and they are so adorable! Even though it is June I had to buy these, they have been stored in my favorites and I almost bought them in the winter and now that they were at such a great price I just had to get them!! I can't wait untill winter to wear them, I did try them on and I bought size 7, that is my normal shoe size, there a little roomy but with thick socks they will be perfect!! These boots are awesome! Waterproof, great traction, fun colors, and warm as all getout! I usually wear an 8, and after reading the online reviews I wasn't sure what size to order, so I got two - a size 7 and a size 8. The 7's fit me perfectly, so I'm in agreement with all the others who said to order a half to a full size smaller than normal. Returned the 8's will the usual no-fuss-no-muss-superfantastic customer service that always accompanies any Zappos order. I love these boots and I love Zappos!

First off let me start by saying that this is my first snow boot ever! I was very impressed on the comfort and warmth of this boot! Color, comfort, climate-control!!!
I ordered these yesterday, and received them today. Zappos strikes again!!!! I got the ruby red and the deco pink. (After all, they were on sale for a great price!!) I won't need them until next fall/winter, so, sadly, I'll have to put them away for now. The fit was 1/2 size too large as everyone else had indicated in their reviews. I normally wear a 6 and ordered a 6. They are big, but with a thick sock they're perfect, and I'm quite certain the 5's would have been too confining and my feet would have been cold. (Because, as every full-blooded Norwegian knows, you need to have space in your boots so the warm air can circulate, or your feet will freeze!!!!) Sorrel is wonderful!!

Pink Sorels!
I was looking for WARMTH and DURABILITY. Knew Sorel was a good brand. Was totally surprised to find them in PINK at Zappos. I have had no end of compliments. I even wear them with shorts (at times). We live on the N. Cal. coast, where it's cool most of the time. I loved the free shipping. Quick, too. Zappo's is great!
