I wear between a 7.5 and 8 in Taryn Rose, Cole Haan and Stuart Weitzman, 7.5 in flats, boots and leather shoes, 8 in high heels and patent leather shoes. I have a slightly wide foot, and ordered the 8 in black patent. It was much too tight in the toe box and around the sides of my foot and a little short on length. This is a tricky shoe for wide feet. Don't be afraid to buy a half size up; you're feet need to be able to pronate, especially if you buy this in patent leather. I am not willing to spend additional time trying to break in the stiffness, plus they seem too short and feet do swell throughout the day, so I will need a shoe to accommodate. I am returning for a size 8.5 and if it's too large I will put a cushion insert and heel grips in the shoe. On the upside, Zappos provided excellent customer service, fast next day shipping and shoes were exquisitely crafted with full coverage of the foot (no toe cleavage).

Worth every penny!! I have lots of problems with my feet (fallen arches, heel spurs). These do the trick to be pain free. I like the way it makes my legs look. Have them in nappa black leather is very soft. Order them 1/2 size larger.

Love this shoe!
I do a lot of walking during the workday and these shoes are as comfortable as promised. The leather is soft and the moment I took the shoes out of the box I was impressed with their quality - even the soles are beautiful! After wearing these shoes I am inclined to buy more from Taryn Rose in the future.

Great shoe, especially considering the heel height -
I ordered this shoe a half size up, and the shoe is comfortable, although I wonder if my regular size might not have been better. I am thinking of putting a pad in.
Apart from that, the shoe is spectacular. I ordered the tortoise brown, and it is lovely. The heel is high but not difficult. I love the way the shoe looks; there is a fine depth to the color of the leather. I am proud to wear them.

A little high, a little small--otherwise outstanding -
If you're used to heels this high they're great; otherwise it takes a while to get used to them. Frankly, I never thought I'd ever be able to wear them... but now I can and get compliments everywhere I go...
Order a half size up.

Best investment ever!
These shoes are extremely comfortable. My toes hurt at first, but after 4 days of wearing them for at least 8 hours each day, no more pain, just comfort. I feel like I can run, dance, do any movements with these lovely shoes with much ease now. In addition, I can avoid the podiatrist for a little longer now. Thank you, Taryn Rose!

I love these shoes -
Part of my job involves being on my feet for 8 hours delivering speeches and lectures. I've abused my feet with other pumps to the point that it's hard to wear heels for more than a couple of hours, and the next day, I wake up feeling crippled. I haven't tested these out on an 8-hour day, but so far, they've been FANTASTIC for a 4-hour day, and no crippled feeling on the day after. I love them so much that I've bought a second pair as backup.

Great Purchase!
I have been looking for a sensible but attractive pair of work pumps for a couple of years. I have heard of Taryn Rose and know that her shoes are built for comfort, but I've never been particularly inspired by some of their looks, nor was I excited to pay $4-500 for a pair. When I saw these, and that they were on sale, I changed my mind quickly. I checked out the silhouette from every angle and ordered. Shoes came next day, looked exactly as they did online, and I wore them to work the day to test them out.
Besides the complements I got, these shoes were super comfortable with one exception only. Because I thought I had some extra room, I threw in a couple of Petals pad as I routinely do (to me, you can never have enough padding), and by the second half of the day, I felt that the back of the shoe was starting to rub against my foot. I expect that the next time I wear them without Petals, there should be little or no rubbing. Extremely comfortable for a high heel!
All in all, this black patent leather classic was worth the high investment!

Brown Croco patent Fortune.
Way too tight in the toe, and too high a heel. Also, the sides cut into my foot under my anklebone. This shoe made my foot look stumpy.

Everything other reviewers said they would be: beautiful, unique and surprisingly comfortable for very high heels. I normally don't wear heels and these hooked me in wearing heels more often. Nothing beats the silver color--spectacular. Gorgeous with neutrals and dresses up everything.

Comfort and looks great!
Usually you have to choose between looks and true comfort, but not with Taryn Rose! This shoe is a classic look, very well made with all day comfort. Normally, a shoe this high would not be comfortable for a long period of time.

Amazing work shoes and great service!
I am a healthcare professional and on my feet all day. These shoes are extremely comfortable, especially given the height of the heel. They are also great, because my feet tend to be a bit on the wide side. The leather is very soft and overall the shoe is well crafted. Definitely worth the price. The customer service at Zappos was also very efficient and a pleasure to deal with.

Super Pump!
I first wore this shoe to a graduation, and my feet were comfortable all day. I would recommend this to anyone who has to stand or walk on hard surfaces for any length of time, since it provides great support. And it looks great.

A worthy investment -
I gravitated toward this shoe because I am familiar with the comfort and quality of Taryn Rose shoes. I own several pairs and am always impressed with the style and form of each shoe. I can spend hours (as a busy doctor) wearing them without tiring my feet especially the arches. This particular shoe is costly and much higher than my usual shoes at 3 inches. However I had confidence that it would be comfortable (thicker, but not chunky, heel) and would add that very attractive youthful form to my calf but not at the expense of discomfort. I will probably not buy another interview/presentation/suit pump in a long time so I think it was worth the extra money. Zappos sizes are dead on. I wish I had followed them more closely. In some of her shoes bought from other vendors the size differs but Zappos assessment of the size of the shoes they carry are accurate. I had to exchange one I bought too large. Exceeding excellent shipping and return. I wish all on-line vendors were as responsive. Thank you Zappos.

My daughter tried on my Fortune shoes and it became her good fortune...did not have the heart to take them back so bought a second pair. These are FABULOUSLY comfortable. Suggest you purchase this style while you can-it is very, very classic and available nowhere else. Hard to find such a comfortable pump...most styles have an open front which is not appropriate for all occasions. You will most assuredly love these!

This shoe is a traditional opera pump with truly "understated class"!! VERY comfortable -- Does not feel like a high heel at all -- Impeccable Italian workmanship -- It's a splurge, but well worth it...and...Zappos is fantastic!

The most comfortable black heel ever -
I have been looking for a shoe for a long time that I could wear to church and be comfortable in enough to walk around and greet visitors and still look cute! My husband doesn't have to drop me off at the front door of the church like a little old lady, we can park and walk in together. Great shoe!

First Time in YEARS I have worn heels!
After having surgery on my foot, I lived in Birkenstocks for years - at least 10. I tried putting on heels, but never found one that had the style, comfort and fit that this shoe has. I recently lost about 25 pounds and decided that I wanted to look more stylish than always wearing my long skirts and slacks with flat shoes. Finding the clothes was easy now that I was a size 10 again, but shoes were a different story. Then I read the reviews about Taryn Rose shoes and decided that since the purchase was basically risk free with Zappos free shipping and return, I purchased a pair of these shoes. My forefoot is wide, a B width, my ankle is narrow, and my instep in high enough to need great arch support, and the ball of my foot doesn't have much padding since the surgery where fat was removed along with a tumor. I have short toes, but a long instep, so shoe sizes vary for me from one style to another. Sandals are 9 to 9.5, some boots and closed in toe shoes with heels are 10's since the instep has to fit the shoe more exactly. In this shoe I purchased a 9.5M/40 Euro and it fit perfectly. I wear it without any innersoles, arch supports, etc. I wore it the first time to my son's 28th birthday party and I wore a short black dress. Boy, did I get compliments on the fact that I was wearing stylish clothes AND ESPECIALLY on these shoes. They are soft, yet support my arch and my ankle, stylish heels, yet firm footing when walking, and more than enough toebox room for my wide forefoot. No toe pinching, no cramped foot, and I was in them from 6pm until after 11 - walking on concrete downtown, eating, dancing, mingling, etc. I would recommend these shoes to anyone needing comfort, wanting style. Pricey, but worth every penny. Thank you Zappos, for introducing me to Taryn Rose!
