Nice Looking Boot; Requires Some Break In -
These are sharp looking boots. I bought them to wear to work on rainy and slushy days. The soles have a series of rubbery protrusions which take some adjustment to, but ultimately provide a nice airy feel to these boots. There are only two lace holes, but they're spread apart enough that the boots feel snug and secure when laced up. I haven't been able to verify the waterproofness yet, but I'm guessing they will be fine in that regard.

Very tight instep -
Once I got the shoe on (after quite a struggle), the width wasn't bad, but the instep is extremely tight, especially for a shoe marked EE. Also, rather heavy and stiff feeling.

Surprised -
Timberland is a good company, but this shoe was mighty uncomfortable.
The look was traditional and versatile and I would have kept the shoe but man, it wasn't much fun to wear, and that was just in the house.
Timberland can do better.
Zappos was, as always, understanding and excellent about returning the product, which is why I have only bought shoes from them over the last 3-plus years.
