Quality speaks for itself -
I bought the black polished calf Walden. The first thing I noticed was the slightly snug fit in my regular size. Just right to break it in properly. This shoe reeks of quality. The one piece leather lined insole is a touch-of-class. If I had to have only one pair of shoes, these would be it...Plus, Zappos is the greatest, as usual.

My feet got a bit larger as I grew older. It's not easy to find an attractive shoe in a larger size that is truly comfortable. I love this shoe and I love Zappos... great service.

Very comfortable fit and very good looks -
We have always had to buy Allen-Edmonds or another brand because of our narrow width. These Allen-Edmonds fit very well right out of the box and are very comfortable. As other styles become available we will look at this brand very closely.

Five Stars of "Class"!
I buy all of my husband's shoes & clothes and Allen Edmonds shoes cost a lot to be sure. My husband has these Classic American penny loafers in both burgundy & black; the look and workmanship is awesome, and my husband tells me they are ALWAYS comfortable and easy to fit straight out of the box. They will wear 10 times longer than cheaper penny loafers too, making them well worth the price! Plus, like most Allen Edmonds styles, they are "made in America" (that keeps a lot of jobs in this country)! We only wish Zappos would carry more of the Allen Edmonds line...

Quest for Narrow Sizes -
I have a hard time locating narrow width (11-1/2 A) quality shoes or any A width mens shoes. These arrived promptly and fit.

These shoes are awesome. They arrived and instantly felt great when put on my feet. Virtually no break in period - they were comfortable instantly. A super shoe.

This shoe is a classic dress loafer especially if you're in need of a burgundy shoe. The shoe box was shrink wrapped! I love buying shoes that were never tried on or even touched by a customer. I'm very impressed with Zappos.

WALDEN SHOE NOT COMFORTABLE -
My husband could not get his foot into this shoe...his arch would not slide under the top. They seemed much narrower than usual 3EEEs. Very stiff.

I have a very narrow foot. The width of this shoe feels like an AA even though it is listed as an AAA. I still like the shoe and can wear it with an inner sole.

My first purchase from Zappos did not disappoint. The experience was better than expected. Absolutely outstanding customer support, from the beginning of the transaction to the end. My first purchase involved a bit of everything, including price matching, overnight shipping, and returns. Everything that Zappos advertises, they do, and more! I am now a Zappos customer. Oh yeah, the Allen-Edmonds Walden feels great.

Shoes were of the quality I have come to expect from A-E. Penny loafers do take a little time to break in. Zappos free shipping both ways is outstanding!

These are terrific shoes. Very well built and very comfortable. They look nice enough to wear with a suit or coat and tie, but without sacrificing comfort.

I like Allen Edmonds lace ups although I can barely keep track of which styles they have on a given year. These are great as far as a simpler dress shoe goes, although they definitely fit narrow.

I had a hard time finding a fit - the 14Ds were tight around the instep and the 15Ds were loose around the heel. I went with the tight ones.

Quality products and excellent service -
Allen Edmond shoes are expensive--at least for most of us middle-class folk. The shoes are superb--they fit--they last. I have a narrow foot and have difficulty finding my size, much less finding my size in a comfortable, stylish shoe. I have never been disappointed with Allen-Edmonds.
I'll also put in a plug for Zappos. First, I received free shipping on the shoes. Second, I got the shoes 2 days after I ordered them. My other option would have been to travel for 20 to 30 minutes to a shoe store that MIGHT carry my size, and then make my choice from one or two shoe companies--most with 1 or 2 style offerings. Perhaps, some folks enjoy shopping. I would rather spend my time doing things I enjoy.

 |  | It all started a month ago when I went to Las Vegas with my girl friends. We were shopping, gambling, and having a great time. We walked through the mall there on the way to the train. I saw the cutest shoes in the window and went in. I loved them, bought them and wished I had waited so I didn't have to carry them all day but, Oh Well. Then it was the last day and we were at the airport and my friends were going to a different terminal so we were killing time before our planes left and there at the airport in the window were the shoes I had just bought days before, on sale. Upset, I went in the store and found another pair I really liked so I bought them. I had to leave the box behind because it wouldn't fit in my carry on. Anyway, last Wednesday I wore the first pair to work. It was the first time I had worn them so I took another pair of shoes just in case I got blisters or they hurt my feet (that wasn't necessary!). So I have to tell you that I am a big woman. I had just bought a cute dress (as cute as you can get in my size) and my new black ONEX shoes. To my surprise EVERYONE told me how nice I looked. I am a secretary at an elementary school. I was getting some folders for one of our teachers and she was behind me and she said, "De, you look sexy." Well I almost fell over. No one (except my husband and he has to) has ever in my life told me that. Me...sexy? I was so shocked. I decided it had to be the shoes because they made me feel good and they were soooo comfortable and soooo cute. OK, so all day I kept telling everyone that I bought them in Las Vegas and they had to try them on because they wouldn't believe how comfortable they were. My assistant principal went home and looked them up online. So did I because I wanted to know if anyone in Albuquerque sold them. That's when I found your web site. So I looked at everything and decided to order another pair. I made a favorite list and filled out the information. I am old school and I don't order online so I wrote down the phone # and called. Still unsure about ordering I spoke to a fabulous woman, she was funny and helpful and told me about 6pm.com. I wanted to see if there was something else I might want so I told her I would call back. I didn't find anything. When I called back I got another wonderful woman but she couldn't find the # of the shoes I wanted so I went back online to get the #. Then when I called last night at 7:30ish I talked to someone else. I ordered the shoes and he told me he would send them next day air at no charge. Well you could have knocked me over with a feather (not an easy task!), so I told him if he was going to do that I would order two pair. I did. Today when I got home at 4:30 there on my doorstep were my ONYX shoes. What, are you guys trying to give a heart attack? NEVER in my 51 years on this Earth have I ever dealt with such customer service. WOW! I called a co-worker to tell her what happened and she asked if I minded if she bought a pair. She has already called by now. Anyway I have to tell you and everyone else what a fabulous company you guys run and I can't wait to have a closer look online to order more shoes. I am a shopaholic.
