I had a hard time swallowing the price, but I knew if this shoe looked as beautiful on my foot as it did on my computer screen it would be worth it! Not only are they every bit as beautiful, but they are amazingly comfortable as well, and I almost never wear heels and am not used to heels this high. Yet I've been really comfortable in this shoe and they are so classically beautiful that I think they're worth the money. I did order them in an 8 when I usually wear a 7.5 and they fit my wide foot perfectly. Also the finish, in this particular color which is black patent, is truly elegant.

This is a great looking shoe. Very stylish and yet, very comfortable. Loved the look of the shoe and the perfect heel height for wearing all day. The fit is not good. The shoe runs at least 1 full shoe size small and a little narrow. I love the shoe but am disappointed in the sizing and have to return. Zappos has the greatest customer service ever! The return authorization was issued immediately and Zappos paid shipping both ways. How could you not feel special with attentive and courteous service?!

These are BEAUTIFUL shoes, very comfortable and classy with a heel that is high enough to wear with a dress but low enough to walk in all day. Unfortunately, they run VERY SMALL! I usually wear a size 9 and even the 9.5 was much too small. otherwise, the perfect black pump for the gal who cannot wear the higher heel but still wants a gorgeous shoe!

First, I have never in my life spent this much for a pair of shoes, but they are unbelievable. They are beautifully made and extremely comfortable, although I have not worn them for a long period of time yet. I know they will be absolutely gorgeous with pants and business clothes, but Im hoping they will also work with a dressier dress. The heel height is perfect and the little platform gives a little extra, too. Im normally an 8 or 8-1/2 and purchased this shoe in 38.5.

So much potential...
Was looking for the perfect go-to pump for work, and really thought I found it. This shoe is incredibly stiff and narrower than it looks. Because I buy this brand for comfort, I couldn't keep an uncomfortable pair. I tried this style on in a store in a soft leather, not patent, and they were more comfortable (so might be the material). I wear a standard M width, and vary in TR shoes between a 6.5 - 7.0 - 7.5 depending on the style (can not judge the size accurately in this brand for some reason). I know others love this shoe, and I wish they worked out, but I had to return them for above mentioned reasons. Also the pair I received, had a left shoe that felt one size and a right shoe that felt a full size larger (also not a problem I usually have).

Beautiful even on hobbit feet -
This was the most expensive pair of shoes I've bought to date. I have sensitive feet with disproportionately long toes and so cannot wear ordinary heels that shove the foot down into the shoe bed. So it was important for me to find a really good pair that would be comfortable enough and stylish enough to get good use out of them.
They were fabulous coming out of the box, a beautiful blood-red in a very high-quality patent. The "light padding" inside is not what I would call padding at all, unfortunately, as much as a thin sock would protect your foot from impact on a slab of concrete. So I put in a pair of gel pads made for pumps and that made the balls of my feet feel better, but the top of the shoe was seriously pushing against the knuckle of my big toe in a very painful way.
I usually wear 8 1/2 and ordered the 38 1/2 after reading the advice on this website...after trying these on I took a long time to decide whether to exchange them for a larger size, have them stretched by a local shoe store, or return them entirely. I couldn't bring myself to give them up! Oh, the power of sexy red patent! After consulting with the local shoe store I decided not to have them professionally stretched, but wore them for a couple hours at a time at home, while my feet were unswollen and propped up and I could stretch them gradually to the shape of my feet because I was worried the shoe store would stretch them too much, and then I really wouldn't be able to return or wear them. Point of note about the shoe store--they said these shoes have a lot more "heel bed" (?) than the average heel, which means that the heel stays in place and your foot doesn't slide forward. (I should also say that the store doesn't sell this brand; that's why I went heel-shopping online in the first place.) After doing this for a few sessions I finally wore them out in public, and oh my GOD, they fit like a dream and I got so many compliments on them! Dancing in them was incredibly easy, though I was so happy with them that I might have overdone it a tad--the balls of my feet were sore after about 4 hours of dancing. That's hardly something to complain about in my opinion! Long story short, the patents took some time, effort and adjustment to customize, but I am so glad I did. If I can only have one pair of high heels that I can wear dancing for 4 hours straight, this is a good pick.

The perfect professional pump -
In a word - gorgeous! No, this is not a mankiller shoe, but is what I consider to be a fabulous work/professional pump. The heel is low enough to walk comfortably in, yet high enough to make the legs look good with skirts. We all know that sometimes the necessary basics have a tendency to cross that line into old-lady territory, but not this pump - the platform and the heel keep the look modern as opposed to matronly and the gently rounded/almond toe flatters the foot. I agree with the comments below that it is rather tight in the toe box and that sizing up doesn't solve that problem due to heel slippage. A 39.5 fit me perfectly while I was actually walking out of a 40. In all fairness, a lot of the problem is that patent needs breaking in - no matter the brand, where it's made, etc. patent is a stiff material and needs loosening/stretching. After wearing around the house a short amount of time each day, the shoe has loosened up nicely and is no longer as tight in the toe box. No question this shoe is pricey, but for a well-made shoe that can be worn day in, day out with any professional-type outfit and that be won't out of style any time soon, it'll end up paying for itself in the long run - cost per wear, gals, cost per wear...

Avoid if you are narrow in the heel.
These are a lot hipper-looking than most TR styles. I had high hopes for them and thought I would wear them enough to justify their cost. I had heard TR shoes were cut generously in the toe box, which I need. But these end up being too wide overall. I ordered my usual European size, 39 (I'm an 8 or 8.5 U.S.). I would try a half-size smaller if it were available, but I don't think it would solve my problem since I believe the length of the shoe is fine. So with a heavy heart, I must prepare to return these. And the search for the perfect black pump resumes. P.S. I am checking "felt a half size smaller than marked" because Zappos and/or the manufacturer compare a 39 to a 9 U.S. Most other manufacturers consider a 39 to be an 8-8.5. Something you may want to consider when ordering.

Taryn Rose Fuller -
Absolutely love the look of this shoe, but I'm not so in love with the fit. They definitely run about a 1/2 size too small, so I returned them for a half size larger and they seem to be just a bit too big. I loved the look of them so much I decided to keep them and will wear a foot pad, but I think for this price, they should fit like a glove. I know everyone raves about the arch support in Taryn Rose shoes, but quite frankly this feature is lost on me. I have a slender foot with high arches and the arch of my foot doesn't come anywhere near touching the arch support in this shoe. I've only worn them once and I do believe they will be better once I insert a pad to keep my foot from slipping. The rounded toe and stable heel are comfortable for all day at work and the heel height isn't outrageously high. Definitely rate them 5 stars on the look. From that perspective, they are exactly what I was looking for.

Beautiful shoe, but...
I feel these are 1/2 size too small! I've waited and waited for my size to come in - and they don't fit. How disappointing. I need them for a wedding. I also wish the toe was more pointed - not round.
I followed the advice of the other reviewers though. Definitely overpriced shoes! At least I tried...

Gorgeous and comfortable -
Wow! These are absolutely beautiful and, as with most Taryn Rose, need no breaking in. I wore them all day in Manhattan (a 14 hour day with lots of walking) and no problems at all. And loads of compliments - including from a complete stranger who wanted to know where I got them! As with all Taryn Rose shoes, go with European size. I'm an EU 40 and a US 9M.

Taryn Rose Fuller in red -
Gorgeous, classic shoe. The red is a deep color and goes with a wide range of colors and styles. The heel height is perfect--wish Taryn Rose made more pumps at this heel height. Im a medium width size 11 and the fit is perfect. Have worn these 9 to 10 hours at a time since receiving with no problem.

Gorgeous, but way off in size dept.
Taryn Rose shoes are the most comfortable shoes on the market and worth every penny. That being said, I wish they would stop making their closed toe pumps so darn narrow and snug. These pumps are gorgeous indeed, but I am an 8.5 and had trouble squeezing into a 9. This style is tight around the toe cap and needs a bit more depth in that area. If you order too big, however, you will have trouble keeping them on in the back. I find it difficult to buy Taryn Rose designs online, considering how all over the map each design is in terms of fit. I recommend ordering up a whole size in this style. Oh, and the deep red color of this shoe is positively gorgeous.

 | | Dear Customer Service, I would like to personally say Zappos is an amazing company that I will always order from. I am never disappointed with the service, merchandise, etc. I just ordered a pair of boots that I ordered the wrong size and received them yesterday and ordered the right pair last night and saw on my email that the new pair coming is arriving today which is incredibly fast service. There is no reason for me to order anywhere else for shoes. Zappos has the best selection of shoes that are gorgeous and also the customer service team is always incredible and extremely helpful. In fact, they are the nicest I have encountered. Thanks Zappos, you have a very loyal customer!!! Lara, NJ | | ~ Lara, November 02 2009
