These shoes are unique..soft and yet supports the foot. The sole is substantial and comfortable. These are high on the price scale but wear like iron, don\'t lose their shape and feel like house slippers all day. They are a bargain when you can wear them for years without stretching. I have several pair because they work for almost any occasion. I buy a size larger.\r\nCombine the perfect shoe with Zappos perfect service and you can\'t lose!

Astonishing service from Zappo! I ordered the Taryn Rose Aretha last night around 10 pm. They arrived this morning by 11 am! They are absolutely heavenly! Fit perfectly and true to size (European 39). I had difficulty taking them off and saving them for my trip to Vienna this fall. These are the Platonic ideal of shoes--the ones of which all others are a mere reflection. And they look gorgeous on--elegant as only essential comfort should be. Thanks Zappo. No other shoes than Taryn Rose for me from now on! The price is depressing, but the value is worth it.

New to Taryn Rose.
I discovered Taryn Rose when I was looking at Mepistos and another reviewer recommended the Taryn Rose brand. The quality is outstanding. I've only worn my Arethas twice, but they were comfortable from the start. They even accommodate my high instep, always a concern in a slip-on shoe. I'm adding Taryn Rose to the list of brands that I look for. I bought using my European size and they fit perfectly.

Walking on clouds -
Wore this shoe into the city and walked and walked and walked they were just so comfortable.
The sizing information given me by other reviewers and Zappos was on the money. They said get a half size larger then your regular size and that was correct. I love my new Arethas from Taryn Rose.

Great Traveling Shoe!
I just returned from a week in Paris. I was looking for the perfect travel shoe for all of the walking in museums, in the parks, around the monuments. I ordered and returned the Keir and the Lizzie by Taryn Rose. I finally decided upon the Aretha and it was a great choice. Very comfortable. I received the shoes two days before I left so they were not broken in. I wore them a lot with no blisters at all. My feet only hurt from standing and walking all day but not from the shoes. I did need a half size larger (ordered my usual size previously and returned it). My only complaint about this shoe is that it is not as stylish as I would like, my husband calls them "grandma shoes". I also brought along Taryn Rose's Daelyn in black as my dress shoe and also the Kensey ballet wedge in red (I wish that Zappos would carry these - so cute!) which I did not buy from Zappos. Taryn Rose took care of my feet in Paris, kept them well dressed and comfortable! I only wish that Zappos would carry more Taryn rose in the SMALL sizes - 4.5 please!

Love this shoe!
It would be hard to find a more comfortable shoe than the Aretha. The platform sole makes walking over rough terrain a breeze and the upper is soft yet supportive -- can be worn all day without problems. I've been caught several times in bad weather and it cleans up beautifully, looking like new. A shoe worth every penny. Zappos' service is the best!

Taryn Rose's Aretha - I am very pleased!
This shoe seeme to run 1 size smaller than other brands. I wore the shoe on a day trip to SF and was on my feet all day without any complaints from my feet! What a treat! The paid shipping both ways was appreciated!

Great all purpose shoe but watch the size -
I am an 8 1/2 in American sizing. The size chart advises to but a 38 1/2. I need a 39 1/2 in this shoe, which I knew because I also have the Kelsey, which is the same shoe with a flat leather sole. Honestly, I think the size chart should be revised in general because I need a 39 or 39 1/2 in all Taryn Rose to accommodate the length of my foot. The shoe itself is wonderful, comfortable and looks good with pants or a skirt, but it gets REALLY soaked through in the rain. I am trying to find out if it's ok to using a water repellant spray.

I like the added feature of a "thicker" sole...wish it were available in brown.
I would buy two or more pairs if the cost were not prohibitive, thus my overall rating of 4 (cost.) I am also aware that "you get what you pay for."

Another winner from Taryn Rose!
I found these shoes to be very, very comfortable and versatile. The medium height wedge looks good with skirts or pants, and I have worn them both casually with jeans and with a pants suit at work. They are very light and comfortable to walk around in. An all around fabulous shoe!!

Very average and extremely overpriced -
Given the fact that I spend the entire day on my feet I was really looking forward to trying on Taryn Rose after reading so many positive reviews. Well, when I finally got them I found that the shoes are very average looking, not comfortable for a 9 hour shift and absolutely not worth $$$$. I'd rather buy Borne and spend the rest $$$ on Kooba. I do have to comment on Zappos excellent customer service!

While these are unquestionably the most comfortable shoes you could imagine, I was unhappy with the fact that the leather trim stained my hose black when the shoes got barely damp on a rainy day. These are clearly "fair weather" shoes.

Fabulous comfortable shoe.
I had surgery on my left foot in July and have had great trouble with shoes. In Taryn Rose, I wear a 12 instead of 11. The Aretha is definitely the best shoe on my foot. It feels so soft yet gives me wonderful support. I own the Taryn Rose Keir also, but there no comparison in support. This is much better.

Heaven-
When I wear these shoes I feel like I am walking on air. They are certainly the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I have another pair of medium heels and they are also magnificent. I have arthritis and bad knees, but like to wear good looking shoes. I am very pleased and would no hesitate to recommend Taryn shoes to everybody. Comfort is the key word.
