I bought these for my brother in law and he really liked them. The fit was true to size and they are very comfortable. He is 81 and he wears slippers every day.

Certainly the very best "slippers" I've ever bought! I'm 73 and have bought many, many slippers, as you can imagine; these are the very best! Fortunately for me, I erroneously ordered my normal shoe size; in the past I had to order a half size larger slipper because that was the only way to get a decent fit. I must have been half asleep, or drunk, or something when I ordered, so I forgot to order a half size larger. When they arrived and I tried them, expecting a too tight fit, they fit perfectly! The deerskin uppers are beautiful, the soles are sturdy and wonderful; the slipper is as comfortable as any I've ever worn. Buy these! Zappos products and service cannot be beat! I won't buy foot stuff anywhere else; why should you?

The shoe is very comfortable, well built and sturdy. Its strongest selling point for me was the fact that it was available in an extra wide width. Once received, my son wore it around the house. He was overjoyed with how comfortable they were. I was happy with how nice they looked. Zappos amazed me with their prompt delivery, getting it here as a last minute Christmas gift and overnight shipping :) Thank you Zappos for the promptness of your service and making available this particular shoe. Thank you LB Evan's for a very fine shoe. I know I will purchase from Zappos again and I know I would recommend this shoe to anyone who was looking for a slipper, with a firm sole and extra wide width.

Comfort Food? Comfort Shoes!
Just like coming home to "comfort food" my husband loves to come home to his "comfort shoes" after a long day at work. I have purchased these shoes... these exact shoes (one pair each Christmas) since the 1980s. By the end of the yearly cycle, the shoes look pretty bad. This year it was even worse with the new puppy chewing on them. These days with all the bad news and discomfort we feel about almost everything in our lives, people turn to what is comforting... mostly the simple, but most valuable things like family and friends and yes, pets, home, etc. Don't underestimate what a great pair of slippers can do to relieve some of the stress and just make you happy to be home. This shoe looks good and is made well... has quality and value.

My husband's favorite -
These slippers are great quality and should last for years, but I purchase a pair of the Deer slippers for my husband each Christmas. He wears them so much that they need to be replaced annually. He wears them outdoors, in the wet garden, in the wet lawn and, of course, around the home. All of my pleas to take better care of them are for naught, so now I simply put them on my husband's Santa list.
I cannot comment re. fit since they are a gift. He loves them & I think they are a great looking slipper.

Not for the long haul -
These are great slippers in almost all respects except longevity. It could be a situation unique to the way these wear for me but the insides wear down to nothing within a few months. Because they are attractive and comfortable, I replace them twice a year. It would be nice to have an $80+ slipper last for more then a year.

Awesome Slippers -
These are the only slippers my husband will wear. I am so glad that Zappos carries them as they are very hard to find. The pricing is competitive and the quality is "top drawer".

Shoes for grandpa -
I wanted to get a shoe that was comfortable, easy to slip on and still looked fashionable. I saw the L.B. Evans shoe and thought that it would be good for my dad who is 94 yrs.old. I bought the shoe in his regular size, but the leather stretched out, re-orded a size smaller and they fit just fine.

I have a wide foot and few shoes or slippers fit well. This was a wonderful choice. The slippers are comfortable and warm and my feet feel great in them. Zappos shipped and delivered with their usual promptness.

I usually wear a size 11, but I ordered these in a size 12, as they are supposed to be "slippers" where you can slip your feet into. They turned out to be just right for "slipping" into.

Husband loves these, possibly more than me!
Husband won't wear anything else... one pair number #3. Deerskin is so soft, but good support. He wears them for a quick errand run in the car, to take the dog out, and puts them on immediately after work and they stay on until bedtime. Added plus is they come in wide widths, which he needs and are hard to find! Great slippers!

Comfortable, but expensive slipper -
I had bought this slipper from Nordstrom's for less than the Zappos' price, but the right shoe was sewn incorrectly. I tried to get a replacement from Nordstrom, but they were sold out. Because this was a Christmas present for my husband, I had to buy the similar, but more expensive pair from Zappos.
It's nonetheless, an excellent slipper from an excellent supplier.

My husband will only wear these slippers and has been doing so for many years. They're comfortable and durable yet increasingly difficult to find in stores. He needs a new pair every 5 years or so (usually less frequently than that) and I'm glad Zappos has them for me.

Great slipper -
I have always used this slipper, purchasing it at retail stores. I can no longer find it that way and so I ordered it through your .com. I have this slipper in black (or dark navy). Do you ever carry this color or only the tan. It is very comfortable and durable and would like another color. Let me know when the darker color can be purchased.

This purchase was made to replace an identical pair of L.B. Evans shoes which lasted several years and had themselves replaced an earlier identical pair. The shoes are satisfactory in every way, and I have no desire to seek out an alternative style or brand to replace them. They are comfortable and sturdy enough to be worn outdoors to retrieve the morning paper in the rain.
