When I ordered the L.B. Evans Aristocrat Scuff I felt fairly good about the potential that they just might fit my husband and he just might like them also . He is a very difficult person to buy anything for; he has a hard time buying things for himself. I choose Zappos because of the terrific service, next day delivery, free shipping and of course the people you employ have always been such a pleasure to speak with. They are informed, courteous, helpful, and kind. All of this makes shopping a pleasant experience; it's easier to look at various products and styles and I know most of the time Zappos will have the size and width I need, not like going to a store to find little variety and when I find something I like they usually do not have my size. You have the best site for shopping, different views and colors of the product and all of this from the comfort of my home. Thanks to all involved in this great shopping experience.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: this is a hard one since i bought this for my husband I like dansko and walking sneakers which are hard for me to find because of width and the fact that i wear orthodics

This is the second time I have ordered these slippers for my picky husband (see April 2007 review). He won’t settle for any other slipper now. Just note that you should order a whole size bigger when ordering these shoes.

So happy!
I had been trying to buy a present for my father, who wanted new slippers, and I had already been through 4 slippers that I bought and returned on Zappos when I found this one. After buying it wide and 1 1/2 size larger than I anticipated needing, as reviewers suggested, I finally found a slipper my dad loved! He tried it on and said with surprise in his voice, "This one's really nice and comfortable, actually!"

This is the second time I have ordered the same slippers for my husband. He wore the first pair out so bad I had to discard while he was not home and already have the second pair waiting. Very very comfortable!

Worth the wait!
Thanks to the reviews, my husband ordered a full size and a half larger than his usual shoe size... resulting in a perfect fit. When we originally placed the order, the desired size was not available, but Zappos notified us promptly when the back order was in. Great service! Great shoe! You won't be disappointed.

I ordered these slippers for my Father who is a size 8.5 (men) and the slippers came as an 8.5 for women. I then had to order a 9.5 and he finally got the right size. It was never specified as Men or Women slippers...

A GENTLEMAN'S SHOE -
This shoe was everything that I expected as a Father's Day gift for my husband. He had been looking for a house shoe in his size. He loves the shoe so much that even though his heel is sticking out of the size 14, he wouldn't allow me to send it back. A size 14 in every shoe he has is very comfortable. 14 is the size he needed, so I was disappointed in the sizing of this brand.

Finally! Classic men's slipper -
My boyfriend really wanted the kind of slippers he remembered his grandfather having, but it is so hard to find this type of shoe! One would imagine it would be easier. Anyway, the shoe is great--classic styling, great materials, and the b/f thinks they're very comfortable! Had to send back first pair because size was too small (DEFINITELY buy at least one full size larger than usual!) but Zappos was absolutely wonderful--easy return process and prompt credit! Have already placed another order for shoes for myself--yay for Zappos and their huge selection and great customer service!!

Size runs one size too small -
I ordered this Scuff 5 years ago in a different color. Ordered the same size this time, but it was a full size too small. No problem...Zappos makes returns easy and I just ordered the next size up. Zappos customer service is superb!

I have had L.B. Evans slippers before. However, the size and width seems to be different-it varies even though it is the same length and width.

Great slippers but order larger size. Our usual is a size 8. We ordered a 9.5 and it fit perfectly.

The standard for gentlemen's slippers -
There is only one problem with Evans Aristocrat Scuffs: they always run small. Order at least a full size or size and a half up. Other than that, these have been favorites in my family for decades. My father wore 'em, I wear 'em, and my son just got his first pair. The leather ages beautifully and they are super comfortable, elegant and easy to wear. Slippers for the soul.

I have a wide foot and nothing is worse than slippers which are tight and binding. Being able to get these soft leather scuffs in 3E makes them my favorite footwear - wish they were styled in such a way that I could wear them out of the house!

Bad Fit -
The shoe is great but the sizing is very wrong. My friend wears a 10. Did not fit. I ordered a 11 1/2 which was still on the small size. The size 12 was perfect. A lot of trouble due to poor sizing.

Slippers for my husband -
I was pleased to get the correct size slippers for my husband. So many of the other shops on line did not have his size which is very wide. I enjoyed the thought that I could return them w/no charge also.

Great fit- Very pleased with service!
I purchased these house shoes for my husband and he really likes the slipper. He says the fit is perfect for his foot and the slipper looks so classy. I looked at a few of the better department stores in our area and was unable to find anything as nice as these slippers. I ordered from Zappos and received within a few days, delivered right to my door! Love it!

Aristocrat slipper -
The bedroom shoe is very attractive. The wearer of the shoe thinks it feels like a glove on his foot. He is very pleased with his present.
Zappos was a pleasure to deal with. I knew immediately if it was in stock and I had the shoe in my hands in less than a week. I will continue to do business with them.

Not a Great Pair of Slippers -
As I shopped for slippers I had narrowed my options down to these an a pair of Uggs. I wish I would have gotten the Uggs. I typically wear a size 14. Based on the reviews I read, I ordered these in a 15 extra wide. They are still quite narrow and my foot looks like it's about to bust through the sides. I hope they stretch. But by far, the worst thing about these slippers is that the thick and hard heel makes them fairly uncomfortable when walking. It feels like whatever they used in the heel is about to tear through the leather bottoms...

Great Slipper.
We have been using this slipper for many years and appreciate the great quality. Only problem we had was that the size marked was incorrect. My husband wears a size 14 and compared the shoe ordered to the slipper worn and the size was smaller on the new one, even correcting for the worn down and enlarged old slipper sole. We reordered a size 15 and it was fine then.
Compliments for the service received from Zappos.

I find this slipper to be most comfortable. I like the leather feel. I like the leather insole as I find I don't perspire in them as I did with a cloth insole. I have a wide shoe and this slipper comes in the 3E width.

Perfect replacement -
To my surprise, this house shoe was exactly like the one my husband had and liked so much he didn't want to get rid of them even though he had worn them to death. He was very pleased. These wear well and stay good looking. My husband is very particular about his clothes, even his house shoes. He likes this particular style be cause they are easy on and easy off.
