These are big! I wear a 7.5 shoe so after reading other reviews I ordered a size 6 and it\'s still a bit too long. I might have kept them anyway but the straps don\'t fit right either. One foot felt loose and the other tight. I went online to see about getting a size 5 but 6 is the smallest. I never wore these so I can\'t rate the comfort. I do still like the style.

Not wide enough -
I got the full size lower, which was good for length. I think my feet have gotten wider (after several tries) to a C so this was just not wide enough for me.

I bought these sandals to wear on a 6-day, 5-night whitewater rafting trip in Idaho. I followed the advice from other reviewers and bought a full size smaller than I normally wear. The straps were difficult to adjust and were simultaneously too tight across the top of my foot and too loose around my heel. I tightened the straps as much as possible and wore the sandals anyway, which was a mistake. The first day of the trip I swam a rapid and one of the sandals slipped off of my foot while I was in the water and was lost forever. So beware - do not buy these sandals if you need something that will stay on your feet in water.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Chaco or Teva sandals - much better choice

Narrow Feet Watch Out!
Positives:
-Great look. Flattering on feet. Look less chunky than Tevas.
-Straps are soft and comfortable
-Insole is made of a comfortable, soft rubber material
Negatives:
-Too big. Ordered a size smaller than my usual size and they still are a little big.
-Not great for narrow and flat feet, like mine. They're a little bit loose on my foot. I tried to tighten the straps but they only go so far. I just ordered another size smaller but I'm not sure if they'll fit (they only sell whole sizes, no halves).

Good shoes for summer job! I like these shoes a lot, except for when they get wet, they make your feet smell!

Order one full size smaller -
Got my exchange size 9 pair today and they fit perfectly. One full size smaller than I usually wear. Very comfy, they adjust to my foot and the arch support is in the right spot. These will be my summer wear everywhere shoes. Cute, comfy, all terrain. Perfect for our river and beach lifestyle in Northern California.

About one and a half sizes too big -
I saw that many people reviewed these as a size larger than marked, but I ordered a 10 since I usually wear a 10 to ten and a half. These were WAY big. One inch too long and had to cinch the straps all they way down to keep them on. Returned them for a size 9. Will update when I get those, but I expect them to fit perfectly based on the proportions of the 10.

Long Shoe -
This North Face hiking sandal is a full half inch longer in the sole than my old North Face of similar style. I'll try a half size smaller, because this is still the simplest hiking/river sandal I have found, with a flattering and simple cross-strap instead of big monster straps all around the foot and ankle.

I was looking for a shoe to wear in the water and this shoe was perfect for me. I ordered this shoe in a size 7. I normally wear a 7 or 7 1/2, but when I received this shoe, it was quite large. I ended up exchanging it for a size 6, which had plenty of length and fit perfectly. I have a narrow foot, but was able to adjust the straps for a good fit. It has a very flexible sole with just a bit of arch support. The shoe is very comfortable and I have worn it as a weekend shoe with capris as well.

North Face's Fisher Canyon is wonderful!
I love my new fisher canyon sandals. The strap adjustment makes them easy to fit all widths of feet. I have always worn Teva but not any more.
Good support, great in water and on boats.

These sandals ARE adjustable, like the Chaco and Keen styles you pull the webbing to adjust (kind of like laces pull tight). They should come with instructions because it's not obvious if you're not familiar with that style of sandal. I have a very narrow foot, and these are still too narrow for me (because of where the webbing is attached to the insole) and yet the webbing will not tighten down all the way for a snug fit (because of where the buckle is attached). I can't imagine these shoes would properly fit anyone. I ordered a full size smaller than normal and the length is perfect.

I wish they could have been more comfortable. The straps only adjust around the heel and not around the entire foot. The right sandal is tighter than the left. They almost feel like one sandal is bigger than the other. I would like to return them, but I wore them and Im hoping that in time they will wear in and feel more comfortable. The sandals slip off my feet too sometimes. I do like the style and color.

New Beginnings -
Love the new product to me. Just wish Mother Nature would cooperate temperature wise to wear them on regular basis.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: not familiar enough to do that @ this time. with the ones I have I've told everyone that asks about my shoes I tell them

Only buy these if you have really long, narrow feet -
I have a pair of North Face sandals I bought last year, and they're fantastic. Unfortunately, that particular model is no longer available, so I went looking for something to replace them. This looked close, but when I opened the box, I could tell they weren't going to work. I tried them on and, sure enough, they just fit strangely.
The best way I can describe it is that there is extra sandal behind the arch. By this, I mean that when I scooted my foot all the way forward in the sandal, it looked/fit great except for the fact that there were about 2-3" of "extra" shoe behind where my heel sat. And it's not like I can adjust the back strap to solve that problem (it's sewn in place). So even though I love the look of these sandals (the red is really lovely), they just don't fit my feet at all. ::Sigh::
