I have been looking for this shoe for some time. Finally found it elsewhere for much more; I ordered it from Zappos instead. The shoes arrived in very short order, and I've been wearing them almost every day since. Couldn't be happier!

I was looking for a comfortable wide shoe in a brown/tan tone that was a quasi-athletic shoe masquerading as a casual shoe which I could wear to work. I selected the tan/grey color that I would describe as "putty." The shoe itself has a very roomy toe box; in fact, it seems almost a little too big. I had to lace up the shoes very tightly so that they don't feel too wide. I would suggest ordering a 1/2 size smaller if you are ordering the Wide width. The shoe itself is comfortable enough. I have worn it to work on casual days and also to concerts when I knew I would be on my feet a lot. As far as styling goes, it's a pretty homely shoe, so don't buy it for the looks!

This shoe is so comfortable from the moment I put it on. Soft leather, the heel is low around my ankle, which is important because I have had an ankle replacement. It is great with jeans. Zappos has always been so easy to buy from. Love the service.

Nice shoes - wow, they are so comfortable with their wide toe box in 2EE. However, the heel cups were too shallow to accommodate my orthotics, which are a bit elevated. The looks are okay, and they seem to be well made.

I ordered the shoes on line and they arrived 2 days later much to my surprise. The shoes are very comfortable and no time spent breaking them in. Wear them every day.

I wear orthotics and have a hard time finding shoes in extra wide widths to accommodate the inserts. I have purchased other New Balance shoes in the wider widths and they have all worked great. These shoes have a lot of padding and are extremely comfortable and worked out even better than the others. I would highly recommend these to anyone whether you have problem feet or not. Thanks Zappos for offering a wide variety of wider width shoes.

I needed a pair of work shoes; I stand on my feet in my job. Have tried several other ones but they didn't work. I thought I would give these a try. They are the most comfortable shoes that I've worn for a long time. I put them on and started walking in them. I would recommend them to anyone that needs shoes for work where they stand on there feet all day.

Not Comfortable, Laces Come Loose -
I have to say that I am very disappointed in these shoes. They are supposed to be walking shoes but they're not overly comfortable. There is very little padding in them and no real arch support. I would certainly not want to walk a long distance in them. In addition, the shoe laces don't stay tied. I can't believe that New Balance can't come up with a good shoe lace after all the years they have been making shoes. They even come loose when I double knot them. The worst part is that the tongue on the left shoe stabs into the top of my foot. I would have thought that a walking shoe would have padding on the top of the tongues and around the heels. Although Zappos service was impeccable, I would not recommend these shoes to anyone. Plus they look like a pair of work boots.

Walk in comfort -
This is the most comfortable walking shoe I've ever worn. For serious walks I wear thin socks; if I'm just running to the store, I can wear it with no socks. I keep telling myself "these aren't ugly, they're European-looking"...but I really don't care that they're a little clunky because they feel like clouds on my feet. I gave them 4 stars for "Look" just to keep myself honest, but they are really 5-star walking shoes!

The shoe was advertised as being suitable for those who wear orthotics, which I do. They were right! I put in my inserts, put on the shoes, and wore them all day. Very comfortable and supportive.

These are the best pair of shoes. I live in them now! I wear orthotics and they provide enough room to accommodate them, great arch support and toe room. Not fashionable at all, but if you want comfort, support and a light weight shoe. These are the one.

Good walker -
This shoe, while comfortable, is not the most beautiful pair of shoes I've ever owned. In fact, I had to think about them for a week before I decided to keep them. They are a bit stiff, but will loosen up. I am going to Europe this summer and need to have ache-free feet. One thing: they don't look 'touristy' (which is not a bad thing).

All White Comfort Shoes -
I really need a size 10 1/2, but most manufacturers seem to think that after you get to size 10, you should only need full sizes. I have been so pleased with the New Balance shoes I have had in the past, not only because they are great for comfort, but because they make them in 10 1/2. I need all white comfort shoes to wear for several hours at a time a couple of days a week. For several years all I could find were in size 10 and at the end of the day my toes were always sore. And size 11's are almost always too long to wear without sliding up and down. I was so excited to find that New Balance made a great comfort shoe in "all white" - not so sporty looking as the other New Balance shoes I have worn. And, it has some feminine embroidery that looks nice with my dress. These shoes fit perfectly, give me nice support, and my toes really like that little bit of extra room on the end. Thanks Zappos and thanks New Balance!

Great Walking shoes -
I have had trouble with my feet for over 2 years now and had been wearing nothing but CROCS. I had decided I really needed to find shoes that fit well so I ordered the New Balance and love them. They do not hurt my feet and are wonderful and comfortable. I may end up buying the brown I like them so much.

Great Shoes For Arthritis -
I need shoes with a large toe box due to arthritic changes in my feet. These shoes are perfect for me! Of course they came the next day after I ordered them, in time for a Christmas present to me!

Just what I needed -
After recent foot/toe surgery, I needed black tennis shoes. My podiatrist recommended the New Balance brand as a good choice. I found this style to be quite comfortable and serviceable. My orthotics fit into them quite well.

These were petty warm and the shearling felt oh so nice. The souls seemed like they would be ok to walk around in but they role inward which didn't feel good at all on my feet.

Okay shoe... not as therapeutic as I'd hoped -
This would probably be a great comfort shoe for someone who doesn't have an existing problem like mine - plantar fasciitis. I bought these to have some black comfort shoes for work. My orthotics did fit in them, but the shoes are not "cushy" enough to provide the comfort and support I need. Sadly, I have to return them.

I was having pain in my little toe due to narrow shoes, so I purchased this shoe which comes in very wide widths. I find the shoe has very little arch support and the heel cup is also very wide.

Finally a shoe that will fit my arch supports and very high instep, and is acceptable to wear to the (business casual) office.
The only problem I've had is that the shoelaces are a silky material that comes untied frequently. Hoping that will stop as they wear in.

Comfortable, but clunky -
I am on my feet all day at work and these are my shoe of choice for a long day, not marshmallowy soft, but good and supportive. I would wear them every day if they weren't so hard soled on the bottom. They make a clap when I walk.

I like the width of these shoes, but after 8 hours, I have to take them off because my feet hurt. I ordered 10, but I think 10 1/2 would have been better. They are not as comfortable as sneakers.

These shoes might look better but didn't feel better!
I love New Balance and liked this new look but my feet didn't like them. I work in retail and work all day walking and this shoe made my feet swell. They are not comfortable at all!
