Runs a bit large, but so comfortable. I have several pairs of Rieker and appreciate the fine leather and the great walkability of these shoes.

I bought this shoe in black because all the reviews were good. My taste must differ from the reviewers. I think this is an ugly shoe. Fits okay, a little flat in the arch department, but I could have slipped in extra support. But it is ugly off, uglier on.

These are very nice shoes. I like the placement of the strap, a little closer to the ankle than other mary janes I have, as it adds extra support and stability for someone whose ankles sometimes turn out. The straps are very adaptable which is great because my feet swell during the day, and one much more than the other. The shoes haven't stretched out, because of the design and the strap adjustability. I thought the cut-outs might be too summery, but they are working well with opaque black hosiery. (I have this style in black.) They could use more arch support and be more cushy in the sole, especially the ball of the foot. They don't compare well with other Riekers I've had in either of these ways. I'm surprised that they don't feel more cushy since the sole looks thick. It sometimes feels like I'm wearing moccasins.

This Rieker shoe is fantastic! It is one flat shoe that offers loads of support (the strap is particularly good for added support). It is stylish and looks good with pants or a skirt.\r\n\r\nI started with one pair - the dark brown - and then ordered a black pair as well. I wear them all the time. My shoe of choice!\r\n\r\n

These shoes are great! Comfortable enough to wear to work each day, even dressy enough to wear with a skirt or casual dress. Well made as Rieker shoes are. I ordered a 37 and wear a 6 1/2. They are a little roomy, but not too loose.

All I can say is I am in love! Most comfortable, and very stylish! I can not believe anyone would think these looked like "old women" shoes! I am 60 and very young in my appearance and dressing. These are so cute! I have the white ones and find myself wanting to wear them all the time. I just ordered the black ones and plan on wearing them this winter with trouser socks. Thank you so much Zappos.

I had a pair of Rieker Mary Janes in a basketweave style in the color purple over 15 years ago. My mom had the same pair in beige. We loved the shoes so much that we wore them to the ground. We have not been able to find that style shoe by Rieker anywhere again, but would like to find something similar. So, we both tried these shoes and liked everything about them except the Velcro strap. It was comfortable enough but the swatch of Velcro on the shoe is not totally covered by the strap when closed. I did not like the look of it and we felt that it cheapened the shoe.We both returned them and are hoping that Rieker designs the same show but with a more delicate looking closure than Velcro.

Wonderful! These shoes are comfortable and run true to Rieker sizes. They look good even with a mid-length skirt, hard to find comfortable shoes that do. I have taken them with me to Europe where I do a lot of walking. And the usual Zappos rapid service!

The Reiker L1765 Celia 65 are fantastic. They are true to my size and I bought them to take to Ireland. I walked in them for two weeks and my feet felt fantastic. Thanks so much.

This is my second pair of Ceila\'s. I also have the black. Actually I think the black pair is slightly more comfortable than the white, but that is probably due to the variations in shoes as both are very comfortable. I have a narrow foot and was concerned that the velcro would not take up the slack but it did. The big thing for me is that I can remove the insoles and put in my orthothics. This allows me to wear something nicer than running shoes. I wear the running shoes a lot, but when traveling I want something nicer. I am very pleased with both pairs.

I was hesitant about buying these shoes since to me they look young until I read the review about being an "old lady look". Since I am and Old Lady I decided they would be perfect for me and they are. Very comfortable walking shoe and not foot pain. Love them!

Super travel shoe -
Just finished tromping all over Scandinavia in these shoes! Great style that works with slacks, shorts or skirts. Not hugely supportive in the arch, but I found them serviceable on cobblestones, concrete and dirt. I had other shoes with me but never felt the need to use them because these worked so well!

Jazzy Riekers -
I just hate to return these shoes, but even adding two layers of Dr. Scholl's to fill them up, they are too wide.

Pluses and minuses -
This shoe, as other reviewers have said, has its virtues. It is roomy--with a boxy toe box that allows your foot to move. It does seem wider than a medium, if you are looking for a wider shoe.
I would have kept them, but I wanted a shoe with more arch support--this has very little.

I now have two pairs of Rieker's "Celia". The shoe is great - very comfortable right out of the box and the size 38 is a perfect match for my U.S. size 7. I wore the first pair all last summer with both jeans and skirts. The newest pair just traveled to Europe where I easily walked in airports, train stations and along uneven streets and sidewalks. My feet are wide and this particular design, with its soft leather and well-fitting velcro straps, was a very satisfactory choice.

These are incredibly comfortable shoes that I find very cute. My total break-in period was putting them on and walking for 8 hours, which is not like me at all. Highly recommended, if you are into comfort and Mary Janes are your style.

These are the everyday shoes that I was after. Comfortable. Lightweight. Walkable. And oh so easy on the feet. They look even better after a couple rounds of shoe polish -- deeper and darker brown. And they're easy to live in. Cute style. Comfy design. I wear them everywhere, including on 5-mile walks.

Just love the Celia 65. Purchased Pistichio (tan) and White Leather. Would buy in Navy if available. I wear orthodics so they stay in and the shoe stays on my foot. The strap eats up stockings but a minor inconvenience for a shoe that can be worn with jeans or relatively dressy casual. Hope for more Mary Janes by Rieker.

These trekked through Vienna, Budapest, and Bratislava--totally comfortable, requiring no break-in. I'm glad I bought both colors! The sizing is true but a tad wider than I expected. Fortunately, the Velcro strap takes care of that. FYI: I have "bad feet," including significant nerve damage, so I need good connection to the ground. This shoe is GREAT! For the reviewer who was concerned about "old lady" style: I saw lots of Riekers throughout Europe on women of all ages. No prob. Anyway, the comfort is worth any grief from the fashion police!

I LOVE these shoes. They are so comfortable, hug my feet perfectly. I often have a problem with shoes rubbing on my heels but these shoes have such soft leather and the adjustable strap make them fit perfectly. If I had one complaint, it would be that the strap could be longer. When I attach the velcro it's about an inch and a half above the end of the other velcro, and my feet are not THAT wide. Either way, I love these shoes, excellent investment and really, really cute!

I love this shoe! Due to an accident years ago, my right foot is warped and painful. I have to have supportive insoles if I'm going to do shopping, sightseeing etc. I ordered these in white, they got here and not only do I love how they look, but my orthotics fit once I removed the insole. I love them so much, I just placed an order of another pair in red. They are very cute, really comfortable and I would recommend them to anyone who has to use orthotics.

Cute comfort -
This is my first pair of Riekers, but it won't be my last. The shoe is totally cute and fits like a dream, both on my foot with a bunion and my straight foot. Works best with socks, but can be worn without. Good support. Slightly wide, but the strap adjusts nicely.

Cute AND Comfortable!!!
I bought this shoe in the color, Whiskey, and they are the cutest shoes I have. I get compliments on them ALL the time. They're quite a departure from what I usually wear, and I thought they might be too flat for me. I have knee problems and usually wear a boot-styled shoe for support. While these have very little support, they are comfortable for walking. They do gap a bit around the top, but the strap is secure and easy to fasten. I bought two more pairs just for good measure.
