As Nice as Pictured -
The boots are very attractive, but the leather is super prone to nicks/scratches/creasing. The negative heel takes getting used to and digs in to the back of the heel with thinner socks.

I read the reviews of this shoe before getting it, so it seemed most people are pleased with this boot. I was glad to see it but also had heard some people complain about getting used to the reverse heel. I had no issues with it. I put them on the day I got them, walked around the house, then went out to do my errands. I had no pain in my legs or feet after wearing. These are great boots! I did get an 8.5 but not sure if I could have used an 8. With thicker socks they are great but with thin socks it seems there may be a little extra room. Since I will be wearing them mostly in cold weather I am not concerned.

Love the style - I put off buying last year because of cost and almost couldn't find my size. I love the style and it is really comfy. Only concern is polish comes off easy and I will have to try to match. I do love the shoe! Would like to see more like this style, but not quite as heavy as this one.

Great Shoes -
I am totally satisfied with my Earth Shoes. I am also totally satisfied with Zappos quick service. I ordered my shoes on Friday afternoon and I had them Monday morning. WOW! As for the shoe, it is a very soft leather that needed no breaking-in time. The moment I slipped this boot on we were friends. The quality is great and it looks good on the foot.

These are my 4th pair of Earth Shoes, 2 pair of sandals and a pair of Mary Janes. I think they are very comfortable. These are a little hippy but look cute with jeans on a snowy day.

Comfort wins over style -
Very comfortable shoe. The laces are a little awkward to tie. They are not high on style, especially when worn with jeans which cover the details. But, overall comfort wins.
The customer service at Zappos is great!

Most comfortable shoe I own -
My title says it all! The last time I owned a shoe this comfortable was back in the 70's when I owned my first pair of Earth shoes. I wish they would make more styles like this; I like boots I can wear all day in any weather.

Wow!
I am impressed with these boots. It has taken me years to purchase a pair of Earth shoes due to the price, but I have to tell you its worth it!! I bought these boots to do some light hiking in Yosemite. I have wide feet, but they stretched out perfectly in about 1 hour of wear. They held up great in the snow and dirt that the hike had to offer. I look forward to trying out some Earth sandals next. I'm sold.

These are the shoes I reach for every day. I was hesitant to buy them at first as I wasn't crazy about the Moccasin look, but so glad I did. You cannot see the ties under jeans and they are very warm and comfortable for winter wear here in Northern CA. I like the rounded toe much better than the squared off toe most Earth shoes have. Because of the shape, I was able to go down a size from the Solars (I'm an 11.5 with a narrow foot and have an 11 in these and they are perfect with dress socks). They were very snug to start with, but have stretched beautifully. I get a lot of compliments, they are holding up well so far and, as a bonus, seem to be totally waterproof!

I wore earth shoes 30 yrs ago in high school. Can’t believe they are back. These are really cute and unbelievably comfortable. I love shoes and boots and these are really great. Put them on and thought they felt funny at first. Then suddenly my foot simply settled into the boot and they were perfect. No breaking in time. Couldn’t believe it.

SCENIC OVERLOOK -
I can't believe I found these great shoes! I saw them in a store in Delaware and it took me a while to decide whether I wanted to spend that kind of money on a pair of shoes, by the time I went back, they were gone. I searched all over, but could not find them anywhere, until I found them here.
I would sleep in them if I could.
I am going to order the other colors, when I get the money. OH Yeah!

Best boot of the year!
Umm, so comfortable and I love the style, look of this boot. I bought a half size larger than I normally wear and it's just a tad loose, but find this is the case with Earth shoes. The boots are designed in the U.S. but made in China. They appear to be a quality product with good construction and even stitching. I am leery of the hidden dangers of Chinese products and question the inner boot lining which appears to be a synthetic, polyester material which is not appealing. The sole (NPI) drawback to an otherwise attractive boot.

Earth Scenic: Love them!!!
Very comfortable and fairly warm, these boots feel "broken in" out of the box and just get better looking and more comfortable with time. One boot did dig into my Achilles at first, but I just took it off & bent it with my fingers & held it for a few minutes so it "broke" in a better spot, and they've been fabulous ever since. Great for a 2 day walking tour. I plan to get another pair to wear next year. My foot is slightly narrow and I wear thin wool toe socks (Ininji) and find them true to size. Might not be good for a wide foot.

Love these! It isn't often you find a shoe this comfortable that is also so unique and fun. I needed a winter boot that was functional in the rough upstate NY winter snowstorms and still looked good enough to wear to work, and this is perfect! Highly recommend. I ordered my regular size, and the fit is perfect, even with heavier socks. Love Zappos' fast shipping, not to mention the price protection guarantee.

Blisters -
These are good looking, and I definitely think Earth has something with the negative heal. You can feel from the first second that it seems right. But this particular style cut me in the Achilles right from the start. I can't wear them and you can kind of see in the picture how the heal angles in at the Achilles - awkward design.

These boots are so comfortable, no breaking in, only wish they had zippers instead of ties, I would recommend them to anyone who wants comfort.

I bought this boot because I really need a comfortable boot that provides good arch support. These are probably the most comfortable boots that I have ever had. You can't really call them a "dress boot" I don't think, but I feel that they are really nice looking and I wear them everywhere. Maybe the fit would be snug if I wore socks, but I wear tights with them.

This was the most comfortable Earth shoe I ever had. Well worth the price. I can stand and walk in it forever. I ordered a half size bigger because I found out that earth shoes run a little small on me.

I get lots of compliments on these little boots.
People say they look like hand made moccasins, and I think so too.
Very very comfortable for all day wear warm too. I really like them!

Fantastic Boots!
My last pair of Earth shoes was when I was about 12 in the mid 70's! I didn't even know they were still around! I absolutely love these! Got them as a last minute decision before a trip to Paris because my back was bugging me and I was having second thoughts on my other shoe choices. I wore them around the house for a bit and tossed them in my suitcase! They were fabulous!!! So comfy, with good support on arch and ankle! Brand new shoes and they felt perfect from the get go! Good thing, because the Metro was on strike and we walked what felt like 100 miles a day! The only thing that bothers me a little, and it's pure vanity, is they make my feet look kind of big.(And I have small feet, size 6) I think it's the long front with nothing to break the line. All the cuteness is in the back. Obviously, comfort and function won over vanity! I'll be buying more Earth Shoes!

I love these boots. I try and wear them a few times a week. They feel so comfortable. I wore them for 15 hours straight and it was as if I was wearing a pair of slippers.

Earth shoe negative heel not for everyone -
I recently purchased this shoe to update my winter casual boots. I was seeking style and comfort, and have been impressed with Earth Shoe's negative heel technology. Upon receipt I examined the shoe and found it to be true to color and style. I found the shoe a little awkward to pull on (no zipper) but not difficult; it is a little awkward to wrap and tie (new unworn leather) but not difficult. The shoe fits close (not as roomy as I expected)requiring thin socks, but regular wear should 'stretch' the shoe. Most importantly, walking on the negative heel is uncomfortable. I feel like I need a heel lift - as I often need for low (1/4" to 3/4" heel height. I am sending them back early next week. Would recommend to potential customers that the test the negative heel concept in an Earth Shoe retail store before purchasing.

Scenic Hiking Boots -
Bought these boots for an upcoming international trip and really love them. I ordered a 1/2 size up so I could wear heavier socks and the fit is perfect. They were super comfortable right out of the box, but will continue to wear before traveling to 'break them in'. The only minor complaint I have is that there seems to be a little too much leather around the ankle and it is a bit difficult to tie as tightly as I would wish. That may, however, change once the leather becomes softer. Overall, great boot.

Great boot -
This is a cute boot but could perhaps have a little better arch. They are comfortable to wear but your legs may feel the difference in the way the heel goes lower in the back but it is great for the back. These do seem to run about 1/2 size smaller so my 8 1/2 is just right. Usually wear an 8.
