Best Boot Ever -
I'm very fussy with fit, support, and comfort. These boots do fit a 1/2 size smaller as described. Excellent arch support and more comfortable and soft than my athletic shoes. My only issue is the width around the ankle. There's not quite enough material to allow full closure when wearing thick socks or tucking pants in. However, they are still the best boots ever. Thanks Zappos for a great product and quick delivery!

Ordered the Kamik Patriot on Friday, received it today (Monday) and w/ free shipping to boot! Thanks you Zappos, I love you! I am a size 9 and ordered a 10 based on the reviews below. Boot fits perfectly, very comfortable and flexible in the ankle. Also very warm and cozy, and it looks great. It's got the warmth of a bulkier boot w/ the look of a sleek hiking boot. Fits under my boot cut jeans, looks great.

NOT WARM...
I bought these boots last winter and was so disappointed. I live in upstate NY and I needed something warm...I do not understand how they can say tested to -45 F...I snowblowed the driveway yesterday and the temp. Was 36 degrees...in 30 min. my feet were cold. I cannot walk the dogs in them because my feet are frozen within an hour. I can where my husbands old boots 400 grams and they are fine...They do look nice.

Great Winter Boot!
My toes always get cold in the winter. I spend a lot of time outside with my horses and I wanted a sturdy boot that would also keep my feet warm. I had read some of the reviews and ordered a full size larger than my normal shoe size and it fit well. They are wide at the heel so if you do not lace the top tight enough they slip a bit. Other than that, these are very comfortable and have kept my toes warm in sub zero temperatures! I would definitely buy another pair.

Runs AT LEAST a half size small, Runs VERY NARROW FOR SURE -
I just got these boots in the mail today. I was so excited because the looked less, "ducky," than the North Faces...which I had already ordered and tried on but did not like how they looked. Opened the box...liked what I saw...BUT COULD NOT GET THE SIZE 11 on my foot with a sock without exertion...took the sock off and they went on...BUT even then...real squashed down feeling in the toe area...I think they may have designed these boots without the anti-bacterial inserts in mind...and then added them as an afterthought...KEEP IN MIND THAT MY FOOT IS an 11 NARROW...and this is the first regular width shoe that I have ever tried on in my life that felt TOO narrow! (And I am 49 folks so that’s a lot of shoes and a lot of experience with shoes). Anyway...word to the wise...DEFINITELY order up a half size...but don't worry that they don't come in half sizes if you are a whole size up...that's how short they feel...you could order up a whole size no problem...perhaps then the width would feel less, "snuggly" with socks. However, I am disappointed as it does not appear they make size 12 for me!

Doesn’t fit -
They look better than the images online. I like it except for the fact that I had to order 1 size bigger (after returning the first one). Trust me, guys, buy it 1 size bigger than you normally wear.

I am the princess and the pea having had over one dozen boots in my possession this year alone. I am always in search of the perfect pair of boots that will keep my feet warm and me in the woods. I anticipate a very happy winter with lots of trail blazing with these babies. The princess seems to have lost the pea. You have to tweak the laces a bit with a thinner sock but no issues with slippage. Just happy feet walking around in clouds of comfort.

Love my Patriot -
Best snow boots at a great price. One of the reviews mentioned that they were a little stiff, but my Kamik Patriots felt like new basketball shoes. Zappos, I love you guys; customer service is the best around!

Great winter boot -
This is very comfortable in cold weather. Feels good with and without socks, easy to get on/off. Good traction.
