Buy these shoes -
I'm not a dancer but as a leasing agent I'm on my feet all day and these have worked out wonderfully. They look nice, they're easy to clean and my feet didn't feel ready to fall off by the time I got home. I took the advice of others and ordered a full size larger...perfect fit with knee high and regular nylons.

Wonderful shoe!
I purchased the Capezio Student Footlight™ for a local theater production with minimal choreography.
I was concerned about finding shoes to fit properly at size 11, but these are fabulous. Unlike my street shoes, these have real arch support so that my feet aren't aching after an hour or two.
They have a classic look which I find quite stylish with regular clothes - skirts as well as slacks. I'm seriously considering buying another pair for regular wear and having street soles put on them.

Good work shoe -
I bought these as a comfortable everyday work shoe, and they've been working out great. The arch support is excellent and it helps to keep my weight well-distributed. I do a lot of walking, and these have proved to be both practical and comfortable. It's true that there's not much padding in the shoe, but I've never found that to matter in determining a shoe's comfort... at least not after the first five minutes! There is a little rough spot on the inside where the strap is sewn to the shoe. It hasn't caused any sore spots for me, but I can see where someone might get a blister from it.

I am very pleased with my Capezio's Student Footlight shoes. I plan to order more in different colors and heel heights!

A great dance shoe!
I'm not a "dancer" per se but, I got these shoes for the minimal choreography we would be doing in my pop choir and they worked well! They gave me great support and they looked awesome! I highly recommend them.

Note: I'm using these as general purpose shoes -- I'm not a dancer. I've had the black ones for a couple of months now.
They are a bit stiff at first and take some time to break in. Also, there is no padding, which is a problem for me as I walk around on concrete a lot. If you are in the same situation you will need to add insoles, foot petals, or the like. But other than that, and after breaking in, this is about as comfortable as a heeled shoe gets.
The strap helps the shoe stay on securely, and the heels are easy to balance on.
The shoe also goes nicely with vintage clothes; with the thicker, not-so-high heel and ankle straps it works with 20's and 30's styles. (Ever notice how those mile-high teetery stilettos never came into style until more people had cars?)
This shoe is great for those who has to dress up and also walk around, especially once you put in an insole to give it some padding.

Not what I expected -
I was looking for a comfortable shoe to wear for work purposes. I'm on my feet a lot (I'm a flight attendant) and thought a dance shoe would be comfortable. Turns out just the opposite is true. I like the strap which is an added measure of security but the sole is hard and there is little give at all to the shoe. My assumption that a dance shoe would work in a work place environment was incorrect - I won't make that mistake again.

Really surprised!
I just recently started learning how to dance (freestyle, vintage 50s/60s/70s dances) and after trying to dance in my rubber bottom “regular” shoes I determined I needed a pair of leather soled dancing shoes.
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised with these! They look great and they are so comfortable! I’ve started wearing these to work I like them so much. (I work in a busy attorney’s office.) I’ve always had trouble finding a pair of shoes that fits me right because my heels are narrow but the rest of my foot isn’t, and one foot is slightly larger than the other, and these fit my feet great! The ankle straps allow me to adjust each “customize” shoe’s fit on my foot. They are very stable to dance in too. I would recommend these to anyone.

Dance class shoe -
I ordered this shoe for ballroom dance lessons.
It's adequate for that. As comfortable as someone can expect for a new shoe. I thought the toes felt hard on the sides. As one would expect, it looks like a dance shoe, so I didn't rate it very high for beauty.

Great for theatre, dance, living history -
I have gotten great use out of these. I originally bought them for a wedding I was in, and I've been using them since. I need another pair though, so I might upgrade to the theatrical footlight! But the Capezio brand is wonderful and the shoes fit my long (and comparatively narrow) feet. They never once felt too wide in the back as some theatrical shoes tend to do.

I'm onstage a lot, and I bought these for a recent production. They're comfortable, and look perfect as a character shoe -- but they were also comfortable for tapping!! I've had bad shoes before, and for anyone who has suffered through a performance with bad shoes can agree, it is not fun! These made me feel good.

More than just a dance shoe - best value for your money -
After 4 months of hopeless searching I thought it is impossible to find a white, leather, good arch support, round-toe Mary Jane pair of shoes...until I found these. I was skeptical at first because these are dance/stage shoes but as it turned out these are probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! I would definitely recommend them to anybody that works in an office and is looking for something classy, and yet a little different than the usual dress pump. The arch support is more than one can hope for which makes this perfect for people who are constantly on their feet.

Great shoe!
I was glad to find a shoe for the stage in my size. It is so comfortable, and remains so even after a long night on stage! I ordered a pair in my regular street size (size 11), and they were too small. I strongly recommend one size larger for true comfort (size 12 is just right for my size 11 foot).

Easy to wear, not easy to look at -
I found it to be narrow and had to order a half a size larger for my wide feet even though I got it in 'wide'. Very comfortable from day one but not very attractive. I'll buy others in different colors as at the end of an evening of dancing, looks become secondary.

Favorite Heels EVER!!
How I love these shoes! I bought them as a comfortable shoe for dressing up. I usually wear vintage inspired clothing and they look perfect with this look! I couldn't be more pleased. I wore them this Friday and danced for hours! Special note: they look lovely with fishnets!

Excellent heel for comfort -
I'm very pleased with this shoe for several reasons. I have finicky feet, so it's hard for me to find a shoe that doesn't hurt (even so-called comfort shoes). I wanted a heel that was durable, comfortable, and stylish, and this shoe fit the bill (and my foot, for once).

Even Better Than You Remember Them?
I am a large middle-aged woman who, in my twenties, used to work for a theatre company. I remember the actors all wore Capezio Footlights. Now I know why: They are well-made, durable, and stylish enough for the Fortune 100 office I work in. Oh, and best yet- their price is very affordable. I realize that letting everyone in on this fact will probably make it harder to find them in stock when I need them, but why not share a great thing?

Great beginner shoe!

The shoes are not very comfortable, the outer edge of the shoe cuts into your feet. I am not sure how I can dance in those.

Capezio Student Footlight-
I wear a narrow shoe and need to wear orthotics because of previous foot surgery, so it is hard to find a stable and comfortable dress shoe that doesn't look clunky. This is a wonderful shoe, both in style and comfort, but I have found all the Capezio shoes this way and keep them for years by having new heel lifts put on them and street grips put on the sole when they start to wear out. I usually wear a 9 1/2 narrow, but in the Capezio’s I need to order a 10 narrow- they run a little shorter than brands like Naturalizer. These aren't just for dancers, yet you can dance in them!

Great tap shoe -
I was a little worried about the heel height, but I feel very stable in these shoes. The only problem was that they are a little snug. I would reccommend ordering a half size larger. But since I wear a 12 that wasn't an option.

I ordered this hoping for a good stable dress shoe after injuring my knee, but it definitely runs small. I usally wear a 12M or 11M, but this was definitely too short and may have been slightly narrow. It is a nice looking shoe, and I'm sorry it didn't work out.

The 9s were too big, as were the 8.5s and 8s I exchanged. Finally, the 7.5 worked! Each time I called the customer service, I received pleasant, helpful service. I'm wearing these silver shoes at my wedding in October and Zappos made sure I got what I wanted. And today, I got a card in the mail from Catie, the first person that helped me, thanking me for being a customer and wishing me the best for my wedding!!! Can you even believe this?
