Great bunion slipper -
I have bunions on both my feet due to the weight I gained in my pregnancies. (I lost the weight but not the bunions.)I find I need to slip my feet into something soft and comfortable when I get home from work. I have been wearing ballet shoes for this purpose for over 20 years. These shoes are great for my tootsies. I was able to get them in a wide width to accommodate my bunions and the leather is soft. I recommend a 1/2 size larger than your sport shoe if you are using these ballet shoes for slippers and wear a sock with them.

These shoes are awesome. Since I have a wider foot, it's always been hard to find the right fitting ballet shoes. Many other stores didn't carry them in bigger sizes, either. Thanks to Zappos.com I got shoes that fit and look better!!

My thoughts -
My only problem with this product was I could not adjust the heel to fit comfortably. It was either too loose or slipped. Or, it was too tight and dug into my skin. This most likely was due to owner operation and not the shoe itself.

Fantastic ballet slipper...but consider purpose for sizing -
I ordered these for ballet. The Teknik is the slipper I've always preferred, and the construction and quality remains unsurpassed. I wear a 6 1/2 street shoe, and this slipper is really best ordered smaller for dancing, but Zappos was out of the size 6 when I ordered, so I took a chance on the 6 1/2. Alas, I'll have to exchange them--they really are too big for ballet, and will stretch to boot.
That said, non-dancers who plan to wear these slippers around the house may prefer street size.

I think these shoes run pretty true to size. Unlike the other reviewers, I can't begin to recommend this as a street shoe though. It’s a ballet shoe. It has sewn leather sole. Great for dancing, though.

Cute Shoes...
I wear a 7 1/2 street shoe, 7 fit best for me. Felt tight at the toes, but stretched out after 20 minutes of wearing around the house. I don't dance; I wear these around the office at work. The more I wear them, the better they fit. Look great and dressy with work attire, but feels like I am running around barefoot, which is great. (Pull the stringy thing if it gaps around the sides.)

I love this ballet slipper for a house shoe -- I never wear shoes in the house, and it's comfy as a pair of socks, yet looks presentable. I've worn these for years so was delighted to find them on the web. I don't like the elastic band over the instep, so had to take it out. I think in the past the shoes have come with the option of sewing in the elastic, which I would prefer.

Great but...
The size guide says to order a size smaller than your shoe size. That wasn't such good advice. Will need to reorder in a bigger size!

Good ballet slipper -
I wear this ballet slipper like a regular shoe because the look of the slipper is so much better than those so-called "ballet slipper" looking shoes they are making now. The only problem I had was the elastic strap wasn't pictured like it actually looks. It’s fatter than the normal elastic and says Capezio on it.
Other than that, I like everything about this ballet slipper. It’s also very inexpensive, which makes it more appealing.

Well, thought I had to get a size smaller, but probably half size smaller would have done. And these were definitely not really made for wearing all day... BUT, they are SO cute. I NEED to get the white one too...

Nothing beats a classic-
I have worn ballet slippers around the house for 30+ years for comfort, protection and the breathable warmth only leather can provide. From time to time, I have worn other professional brands, but feet are always happiest in Capezio's.

These shoes were not long enough; instead of usual size six I needed a seven. I suggest ordering at least half size larger because width is adjustable.

Great shoes for a non-traditional purpose...
I am not a ballerina, and am not taking ballet classes; I ordered these shoes for one specific reason: I volunteer for a historical society in an 18th century farm house located in upstate New York. The ballet shoes work best with period costume and don't scuff the floor of the manor house. They serve their purpose well and are very comfortable. I would not recommend them if you were on your feet all day, they have no sole so it does take some getting used to, but overall they work. One last tip re: shoes, follow the size instructions on the website, they are true... Zappos is great too, fast and reliable. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Comfy and sexy!
I love these ballet slippers! I bought them as an alternative to fake ballet flats and I'm so glad I did. I ordered 1 size smaller than my street shoe size. They were a bit tight at first but then conformed to the shape of my foot, and now they are incredibly comfortable, and look fantastic. I know these shoes are meant for the dance floor, and will wear out prematurely when worn on the street, but I'll just buy another pair. They are soooo comfortable, soft and flexible. I wear them as driving shoes and for times when I don't have to walk too far, but one thing I discovered is that if you order a slightly larger size and use Dr. Scholls-type insoles, you can walk around in them all day long. I think they look sexy with capris, and I even wore them with cutoff jeans this summer. It's fun to pad around in the mall, stand in line, and point my toes. I get looks of admiration (and very favorable comments, too), and they feel sooo good on my feet!

These are very comfortable shoes that mold to your feet. They are great for walking around airports. They look great with pants or skirts. I love them.

It worked for me...
I used this shoe as part of my costume for a production of Romeo and Juliet. This was the actual play rather than the ballet, so I cannot comment on its suitability for serious dancing.

Ballet Shoes -
I have taken dance for about 8 years, and I am on competition team too, so I know how ballet shoes are supposed to feel. At my studio, no one even wears these shoes anymore, because it is impossible to fully point your foot. These shoes were incredibly uncomfortable too! I recommend the split sole shoes!

I ordered a 7.5 which is my street show size, and these did not fit at all. They are soft and comfy but I won't be able to dance in them or even wear them :-(

Bought for my wedding -
I bought this shoe for my wedding after reading the reviews online. The shoe feels weird, I guess because I never took ballet:). It feels like my toes are hanging over the shoe at the front, but they are really not, its just that the bottom support of the shoe ends about 1/2 inch before my foot does. All in all I think that I will enjoy them for my wedding, and the price cant be beat for wedding shoes these days. I dont think that I will wear them after though. DO buy a size LARGER than you normally wear:)

 |  | Your team rocks! On Labor Day (9/1) I ordered two pairs of Hunter boots because I wasn't sure which was going to fit best. First off, I get an email the next day telling me I'm receiving my boots priority. So that day, 9/2, I received my boots – after ordering on a national holiday, no less! I was wowed! I tried on both pairs. The ones that were too small I knew I wanted to return. The other ones looked like they had been worn before. I easily printed the return label/form for the smaller boots. I called customer service for the exchange and they handled it effectively and efficiently. She told me to send back both pairs of boots and a new pair would be sent priority. I assumed she meant after Zappos had received the returns. Nope! In fact, I received the correct boots today, on 9/3. How crazy is that? To order boots on a holiday, 9/1, and have the entire receive-return-receive wrapped up 48 hours later? AWESOME! Thank you for your team's great service. I've ordered before and now am even more of a fan for the service I received when something isn't exactly right. And that telephone recording with you and Serena Williams! Brilliant!
