Tops for cracks -
Buy these shoes for crack climbing. They don't smear well.. but are king in cracks. They are VERY warm and comfortable, wear them all day!! I climbed in 30 degrees with no socks, no problem. Laces make them adjustable somewhat, sizes run true to size. These aren't the only shoe I'd own, but for cracks they are the choice shoe.

Crack Fest -
First of all I am a Five Ten fan. I have used their Anasazis on slab for years. The Pitons are fantastic in cracks. They almost grab the crack especially with the "rubberized toe"; actually almost too good as my foot got stuck in a fist sized crack. The edging is superb with the more rigid sole. This shoe is way poor on slab however, so it is not an all around shoe. As I had read in another Zappos review, the sizing is weird. I am 1/2 size smaller in these than the Anasazis.

I can’t wait to try them -
I got these shoes because of the large rubberized toe box. I also like the stiff edges. The inner lining and lacing is superior to other shoes I have tried. The rubber is so sticky you can hit the soles together and hold one shoe; the other will stick almost two seconds before falling. They look and feel great. I got an 8.5 even though I usually wear 9.5. They seem to be a great fit, remember the lining keeps them from stretching much. Overall, the color is perfect - natural green brown, the heel is padded for those bouldering drops, they seem like they could be worn for hours. I can’t wait to take them outside. I could kill any crack with these shoes, also excited to do some caves because of the top rubber on these babies. Super shoe!
