Rugged boot with rugged looks -
I wore these everyday for two weeks at work...golf course maintenance. They seem to have excellent durability (Long term unknown). They were comfortable except for something at the right big toe that rubbed. It forced me to return them. They also made my feet very hot on hot days unlike the Vasque Zephyr that I am used to. They also run a half size larger than the Zephyr. I exchanged them for the Vasque Breeze. The Synchro required a little breaking-in. Compared to the Breeze, they felt much more like a boot. The Breeze feels more like a sneaker.

I have never once had a bad experience with Zappos.com and have found even returning a product is pain-free. Many people find buying shoes online to be a process that is a hassle based on shipping costs and not getting a chance to see the shoe actually on their foot, but you have done a tremendous job not only making shipping easy, and FREE, but also providing a number of angles for a shoe online so it can best be represented without physically holding it. I have purchased numerous shoes, sandals and boots from Zappos over the years and have never once been disappointed. Most recently, I was upgraded to expedited shipping for free on my most recent purchase, which again pointed out why I love Zappos so much! My educational background is a degree in marketing as well as an MBA focused in strategic management, which makes me extra critical of things like customer service as well as other business functions. Zappos always comes up as my example of companies who are doing things right and charting their own path to success. I recommend your site to people all the time and hopefully they will experience the delight I have come to know as 'the norm' when dealing with Zappos. Thank you to everybody there for their hard work, dedication and emphasis on the customer. It is not going unrecognized and you have me hooked for life!
