I loved the look of this shoe and the arch pad, which is a must for me. However, it was too short and too wide. I wear an 11N so I can't get it any bigger or narrower. I was surprised because I had just bought a pair of Sofft shoes from a store that fit me perfectly. But all the Sofft shoes I just ordered from Zappos run wide.

Overall very comfortable loafer style shoe and good looking too.
Only problem I have had is when I have worn them all day and walked more than usual. Then my small toe hurts from friction on the outer side.

Comfortable with a capital "C"
Just coming off knee surgery, so needed lower heeled shoes with great support. This shoe fits the bill. Bought it in brown as well. I have an extremely high arch, so arch support is a must. This shoe delivers.

It could just be my foot, but I ordered a wide, and they still seem quite narrow. They work well with trouser socks. (I normally wear a medium). There's not as much arch support as I'd like. After breaking them in, they're a little more comfortable.

Toe shape problem -
Everything about this shoe was great except the shape of the toe box. My second toe is longer than my big toe and this shoe just didn't accommodate that, so I sent them back. Everything else was fine and they were very cute shoes, so I considered keeping them to see if the end would stretch, but decided it wasn't worth the risk.

This is a very comfortable shoe, except the width doesn't seem right. I ordered the narrow and even with wool socks, I can't keep my heel from coming out of the shoe. Guess I'll have to get more creative.

I have very narrow feet. Unfortunately I had to return the shoe because it was way to wide. I think it (2a) felt like a med width, if not a wide.

Excellent casual loafer. I got in the leaf color and got several compliments. Walked around a festival without any issues. Wore traveling through two small airports and my toes were a little pinched, but my socks could've been thicker than normal. I would definitely recommend.

I love it! Better arch support than most shoes, comfortable without any breaking in. Feels a bit wide, but probably narrower would be too narrow. I immediately went online to look for other Sofft shoes.

Gorgeous & made very well, but not so comfy -
These shoes are HOT! I get compliments on them all the time. I was so excited to get them but then almost returned them once they arrived. They feel about a 1/2 size too small...at least for someone with big feet (I wear an 11). I like that they were nice & narrow but the toe is tight. Since they are leather I kept them and sure enough they have loosened up and broken in. I'm glad I kept them. But I was also surprised that they weren't as comfortable as I thought they would be. My Merrell Plaza Bandeux's are MUCH more comfortable, offer more arch support, and have more room in the toe. But for a cute penny loafer look, these are great.

pretty comfortable!!!
This shoe is stylish, nice looking and casual. I am a teacher and on my feet all day, and have a very difficult time finding all-day comfort. These come closer than most for me, so I am hoping that they will work well for school.

These shoes are perfect! I am a teacher and I'm on my feet all day long. I was so sick of ending the day with aching feet and I began a search for a comfy shoe that didn't look awful. These are very comfortable and worth every single penny!!!!

Stylish, but could be more supportive -
The shoes have great details, such as top-stitching and a decorative buckle. The heels are elegant. I was hoping for more arch support and a bit more cushioning.

Stylish loafer -
This is a stylish loafer that works well for business casual and personal wear. I liked the one I ordered in brown so much that I ordered the black as well. I found it quite comfortable for a medium width foot, with great arch support and nice toebox room. However, I agree that it probably works best with a trouser sock rather than a cotton crew. The contrast stitching and the buckle are nice details without being too busy.

I was surprised of the initial comfort especially in the instep; however, for a wide shoe and paying the higher price for a better quality. It was tight in the width.
I would like to see it a little more true to sizing.
I would suggest purchasing a size larger if you intend to purchase this shoe.
The packaging was different than I've ever seen, the box was bigger and shoe presentation was quite impressive. I thought it may have been a little pricy for the quality of the fit.

From the moment I slipped my feet into Sofft Elise the shoes felt very comfortable. Additionally, the soles feel good when walking during the day. On what used to be primary criteria for woman's shoes, Elise also looks stylish!

Very pleased!
I have been very pleased with these shoes. They were comfy the moment I put them on and felt fine all day. I walk about 1hr to 1.5hours per day, so I need comfy shoes. These fit the bill.
In the picture, you can see the bumps the sole makes. I was concerned it would make the shoes too casual and look too much like a moccasin. But, when wearing the shoes, those aren't noticeable from anyplace unless someone is lying on the floor looking at the shoes. They are very appropriate for a business casual environment.
The shoes fit best with trouser socks or nylons. With cotton socks, they are a little short. If you're going to wear them with cotton socks, you might think about going up a 1/2size. If you'll wear them with nylons, order your true size.
The width was good, with either nylons or trouser socks. As a comparison, I feel these are wider to start with than a wide width with Clarks. I didn't have to stretch them at all.
