Possibly the most comfortable shoe I’ve EVER worn -
I cannot possibly rave enough about these shoes - I work close to 12 hours a day and I can be in them from morning to night and NEVER experience any pain or discomfort. I wish they came in more styles because I'd buy them year-round! AMAZING!

OK...I had to laugh reading some of these reviews...I thought I was the only one that clomped around in my sisters shoes waiting to be an adult so I could wear clogs, platforms and anything else my mother thought I was too young for. Comfort, sexy and goes with everything...JACKPOT!!! Now I want the gray and French pink ones. I have waited over 25 years to feel like my sisters did!!

Great shoe - I waited for this shoe to become available in my size. I have to wear a half size smaller than usual and the ankle strap is big so needed to add extra holes. It is comfortable and stylish. The platform is light and easy to walk on. And I love the extra height. I have three pairs in different colors. Great with a sun dress or short.

The Kork-Ease Bette did not disappoint. The 4 inch wedge is surprisingly easy to walk in and feels stable, never wobbly. The ankle strap is a little loose in the heel and tightening the buckle only makes it tighter in the front. I got the chocolate brown first and ordered a second pair in black. They go with just about everything except a little black cocktail dress.

These shoes ROCK!
I adore these shoes... so much so that even though they're on the pricey side, I bought two pairs! (The black and the french pink, which is a very pretty natural color- great for summer.) I love them because they're EXTREMELY comfortable for such a high shoe, and the styling is such that they can be either dressy or more casual (I've worn them with cargo shorts, for example). I've only had them about a month, but they seem like they'll last forever. So... they're pricey, but WORTH IT!
And Zappos, of course, is absolutely amazing as always. I got these shoes the two days after I ordered them.

Well worth the wait - One of the coolest things about Zappos is that if they do not have the shoe that you want in stock, they will notify you if they eventually get it. (And note: Be patient! They will not forget you! A year after I wanted a shoe, they got it in my size and notified me! Amazing!) I only had to wait a few months for them to get Bette in my size in black, and it was well worth the wait. The shoe has a kind of retro-70s look, yet does not look dated. It's unbelievably comfortable for a heel this high, and it’s quite stable even though the heel tapers at the bottom. The toe bed is slightly more padded than the rest of the shoe, so you do not experience that pain in the ball of the foot that heels can cause. I wore it all day shopping and had no breaking-in blisters or discomfort. Also, I tend to like a shoe that turns men's heads, and this one does. I was wearing it with jeans but imagine that it will look even hotter with a nice dress or a funky miniskirt. The only drawback I found to the shoe is that the metal buckle seems a little flimsy. I have a feeling that it will need to be replaced or repaired long before the shoe itself wears out, otherwise the shoe is really well-made. The suede-wrapped platform is gorgeous. Initially I balked a bit at the price of Bette (and Kork-Ease in general) but I was buying these to reward myself for a 20 pound weight loss and now feel that both I and the shoes are worth the cash. I highly recommend the shoes and I can't say enough good things about Zappos!

I just got these today, and I really am in love. Super cute and amazingly comfortable. I am 6'2" when I wear them and I don't care. If you have pasty white skin like me - consider French Pink as your perfect leg-lengthening neutral. I normally wear a 9.5-10, I ordered a 10 and it fits perfectly. Plenty of room. I have not-un-wide feet and there was literally no break in time. I can walk in them - nay, scamper even, if necessary - and even drive a stick shift with no problem. Love!

I used to have these shoes just like everyone else did in the late 70's… except I, of course, had them in tan and they were just "a few inches lower!!! Anyway, I love them now just as I did then, but I love the higher heel. I had first ordered the lower heels thinking that the Bettes would be too hard to walk in, but as it turns out, the higher ones in the Bette style are much more comfortable for me. I think it has to do with the fact that I have very flat feet and the heel with the arch makes it more comfortable. Overall, they are very lightweight and very easy to walk in. Everyone should have a pair of these no matter how old you are!!! Buy them now!!!

I have these shoes in black, silver, gold, brown, and blue. I love them. They are great for wide feet and are very light. They only come in full sizes but it's fine. I always say, go a size bigger. I'm an 8 & 1/2 and bought a size 9. I wish they made them in white.

I absolutely love this shoe! I ordered the purple and love the color, the suede is beautiful. I can wear it with anything, skirts, jeans, shorts. It's very versatile. It's comfortable for being four inches high, but it's still slightly difficult to walk in, and I'm used to heels! The other reviewer was right; you definitely can't scamper in these shoes! I wouldn't mind having them in other colors...

I Love My Kork-Ease!!
These are really great sandals - they are just as good-looking and comfortable as they were when I wore them in high school (4 and a half inch heel and all!). The price is now certainly more than I remember, but they are worth every penny!

I love Bette!
I bought these shoes in brown to wear on my birthday. My 45th birthday! I normally wear flip-flops, Uggs, and Merrells. I never, ever wear heals. We had a DJ, and were dancing all night. My feet never hurt once! I love these shoes!

I love the look of this shoe and for a tall shoe it seems comfortable. Unfortunately it is definitely made for an average foot, my narrow foot slides right through the front.

The only problem is that Kork-Ease comes in full sizes only, so if you are in between sizes you have to guess which size to order. I originally ordered the size up from my normal "half size" per Kork-Ease recommendation, but then needed to return for the smaller size. I think they run true to size, so if in between sizes, some will need to go up a size and others down a size depending on which works best for the individual.

Finally after 30 years!!!
Since I was 8 years old, I wanted Kork Ease (the original height), and my mother never let me get them. I used to go to my friends' houses and try theirs on and wish that I had them. When I was finally old enough to make my own shoe decisions (and pay for them myself) it was the 80s and no one wore Kork Ease anymore. Now they're back! So I finally bought my first pair of Kork Ease (at age 40). I'm a 6.5-7 so I was worried about the size, because they only come in whole sizes, but the 7s fit perfectly. I was also worried that the leather would be stiff and dig into my feet, but the leather is soft and flexible. I'm so thrilled with these shoes, that I want more and more. Thanks Zappos!

Too narrow -
I loved how this shoe looked, but it was surprisingly too narrow in the front. That wasn't the case with others of this brand. The nice leather might have loosened up but at these exorbitant prices it wasn't worth the risk of finding out. And there was nowhere to go up from a size 11! So sorry, had to return but Zappos made the process fast and easy so still a good experience.

I had to wait over a month to get this shoe in my size in black. Worth the wait! These are expensive shoes but they are high quality. I bet they will last for years as long as I'm careful not to ruin the suede sides. High heels but easy to walk in.

Order a size down if you are between two sizes. I am a 6 1/2. The six fits perfectly. These are the most comfortable platform shoes made. I have the French Pink (which is even paler than it looks in the picture) and Luggage (very versatile color). I would highly recommend these shoes.

When I first saw these, I thought they were really cute, and read all the reviews about how comfortable they are. I also thought there is no way I would spend that kind of money on a shoe. Decided to spoil myself, and I sure am glad! Worth every penny! I don't wear high heels all that often, but these are extremely comfortable for the height, and you can wear them with so many things. I wouldn't recommend them for an all day hike, but you can definitely wear them for quite a while without having to limp around after 1/2 an hour. I wear them as much as I can, (I've had them since May '07) and I am still amazed at how comfortable they are. I keep it buckled at the size that fits me and just slip my foot in. I have a narrow foot and they fit great. Get them! You won’t be sorry!

I've been at the mercy of retailers to decide whether they carry anything over a size 10. Incredible selection in all styles, sizes, and widths, and I do mean ALL. Free shipping both ways, easiest return process I've ever seen, 24/7 customer service, and really, really fast delivery! On occasion, there have been some Saturday nights when online retail shoe therapy seemed like a fine idea (especially after a glass of wine or two). They shipped out on Sunday and I kid you not - in most cases arrived at work by Monday or Tuesday at the latest! How’s that for immediate gratification? Nearly all styles have customer reviews that are as helpful as the shoe description in deciding what to order, what to pass on, and what size to order. I've only purchased shoes, but Zappos has expanded into clothes, accessories, and other stuff as well, but their core product is shoes and LOTS of them.
