Love them but hate taking them off -
These boots run true to size. I'm an 8 and I bought an 8 and they fit as well as they should. I love the look of them and I get plenty of compliments. The only thing I really hate is getting them off. They are nearly impossible to get off by myself. The first few times, I had to have assistance. Thank god someone was home to help me. I then wore them with very silky thin socks and I was able to get them off myself but still had to struggle quite a bit.

Cutest rain boots around -
I love these boots. They are stylish and comfortable. I have a wide foot and they fit great. I usually wear a size 6, and bought these in size 35 and they were perfect. The only problem was that they are very hard to take off. It took me 10 minutes to remove one boot. It was extremely painful. The ankle area was too tight so when I tried to pull my foot out, it got stuck. I had some red welts on my foot. Unfortunately these will have to go back. :(

Excellent boot -
I love these! They are great for hiking or just strolling down to the store. I wore them kayaking the other day and they kept my feet dry while I waded in nearly to my knee to get in the kayak. They are also sexy with jeans for brunch in the morning. There's plenty of room in there for thick winter socks but even with thinner socks, they don't feel weird and buckety. Excellent boot.

So-So -
These very pricey and fashionable boots are OK...nothing spectacular. They are not as comfortable as I thought they would be-especially when I'm driving. But at least I look good when it's pouring! My Burberry rain boots are 100x's better!!

The boots look cool, but you really need to wear knee socks with them. The first time that I wore them walking to work, I was wearing pantyhose. The boots cut up both my shins and it was painful. I had to buy some knee socks so that I could wear them back home. The boots also tend to get some type of film on certain areas of the boot, which I couldn't remove or figure out how they got on there, especially since I don't live in an extreme climate. I do like the look of them, but they are really hard to take off. Also, they are not too flexible, so I wouldn't be able to wear them all day.

Finally!
Finally a rain boot that works for me! I tried on several other pairs before ordering the Tretorn Ballena. It's stylish (I adore the laces!) and comfortable and keeps my feet dry. It was a little difficult to get the boot off at first, but it's much easier now. And of course, Zappos was fantastic, as usual. But that of course everyone knows already! Thanks Zappos!

Sooo cute but hard to remove!
Thanks Zappos for price matching these boots for me. They are so cute and awesome looking for rainy days. You can still look cute when it's pouring out w/o having to sacrifice fashion. Sizing is a bit weird. I'm a 7.5/8US and got this in a 37 and it fits fine. I can still wear semi thick socks and tucking in jeans isn't a problem either. The only issue I have is it takes TWO people to remove these boots. It took me (cause I was alone) about 15 minutes. I almost died.

Great boots -
I get a lot of complements when I wear them. They are very comfortable and they are the first pair of rain boots that I actually like and want to wear! It’s also the most "office-appropriate" rain boots I have come across in a long while.

Best Wellies Ever!
I love this boot. Couple of things though. Hard to drive in. Also, if you have large calves, this boot might not be for you. I do have large calves (16 inches around) and I wound up cutting behind the lacey part just so they will fit with my pants tucked in. Can barely tell I cut them, but it gave me the extra inch I needed. Plus it was still high enough so they are still totally waterproof.
I continue to get compliments galore! And are really fun in puddles! Highly recommend.

I feel like kicking butt when I wear these!
I usually wear a 7.5, but had to get 7.5/8. Wearing them now with tights and they are very roomy (but no blisters) and with thick socks for winter, will be perfect! I also added some insoles; nice wide calf, and while very practical, more stylish than a lot of other rain boots.

Great middle-ground rain boot -
I wanted rain boots I could wear with a skirt, so I didn't have to worry about my pants getting wet in big downpours. These are not quite the elegant boots I was looking for, but they're cool, effective and I got lots of comments on them the first day I wore them. They're fairly comfy, although sometimes at the top the flaps of rubber rub a bit. And they're hard to get off by pulling, but I found if you step on your heel with your other foot, it's not so bad. Give yourself a cool punk rock look with a cute short skirt.

Cute but bad fit -
I love these boots but I hate that they don't come in half sizes. I wear a 5 1/2 in sandals and a 6 in shoes. I have a narrow foot and the 6 in these were way too big--my foot was swimming in them. The 5 fit perfectly everywhere except the length--my feet touched the top, which I know would bother me. If they came in half sizes, they'd be perfect. If your feet are the specific length that corresponds to one of these sizes, you'll have no problem. They are heavy and a bit clunky so not ideal for hot weather but great for fall through spring.

The boots run a little small and came a bit scuffed up, so look them over before you take off the tags. They are a great look and keep your feet dry...so they serve their purpose.

Much more than a "rubber boot" -
I must say that if you get this boot in the right size, it is the bomb! First, I ordered the next half size up as it was a boot and I wanted to be able to wear a heavier sock with it. It fit horribly. I tried a different boot company and was even more disappointed as it had no support and no traction. So this sent me back to trying the Tretorn in a smaller size. I usually wear an 8.5, so I decided to try the 8... perfect fit! I work outside landscaping and my feet are wet and dirty almost all day... this boot was comfortable to work in for about 6 hours and I cannot tell you that there are many rubber/rain boots out there that are for a woman and can handle a long day of wear. This boot gets too thumbs up from me... and I had about 15 other women ask me where I got it as it is cute with attitude!

I love these boots!!! They look so cute with a mini skirt & jacket on a rainy day... I can't say enough about their appearance – they are precious. You might want to consider your color choice carefully in order to coordinate with your existing wardrobe...

Almost too pretty just for rainy days -
Couldn't decide if I wanted the Hunter Wellington style or this, so I ordered both and then returned one - free shipping both ways is awesome! This boot was actually more comfortable than the Hunter (which felt larger and looser around foot+ankles). While easy to slip on, this boot is a little harder to take off again. But it looks so cute and now I get excited to go out in the rain.

Best of my rubber boot collection!
These are my favorite boots! They are incredibly comfortable and I get compliments on them constantly. I generally wear these boots to work when it is raining....Splish splash through the puddles!! My husband thinks they are great, too. I have some of the other rain boots, too. I seem to be making a collection of them. They are so great, though!

Really cool (and functional) boots, it doesn't get better -
These boots are so sexy and cool, I can wear them with knee socks and a skirt and wear them out... and yet, I can put them on and take my dogs walking through the creek behind our property and my feet (and legs, and socks, and pants) stay completely dry. I also use them to keep tall grass from scratching up my legs when I go trail-blazing with my pooches. The soles on these boots are so rugged and well-formed. The arches feel great, and the toes are wide enough to be comfortable, but not so wide that they look stupid. All-in-all, these boots are great.

I'm very happy with these boots. They look cute with jeans tucked in or rolled up. Plus they're super comfortable. They're not dainty boots but if you like that chunky look you'll like these.

Stylish choice for a soggy urban jungle.
I've received many compliments on the look of this boot. According to friends, this boot is kick-a** and makes me look "imperial." I felt a little like Laura Croft, Tombraider, wearing these boots, but the only adventure I had was the successful crossing of huge puddles.
The Ballena is a well-made, comfortable boot. My walk to work is 2 miles and while the boot is a little heavy, it stayed comfortable the whole way there. I have muscular calves and shoe accommodated these. The laces allow for a little extra room. The boot is so stylish that you might be tempted to wear it when the sun shines. I was, but like other rubber boots, it doesn't breathe. This isn't something you'd want to leave on all day at work -- unless you work in a bog. Perhaps I don't have the technique down, but it's also a little difficult to take off. If one were to get caught in quicksand, forget grabbing a vine and slipping out of these babies.

Great support, cool looks -
I bought these boots for bird hunting in wet fields. They have the foot and ankle support of a hiking boot. I was more comfortable and looked cuter than the other folks in their $350 French brand wellies!! The only down side is that because they fit tightly enough to give support, you may have to tug a bit to remove them.

Fashion meets function!
Love this boot! Like another reviewer wrote, it's true the laces don't snitch the boot around the calf. But unlike the other reviewer, I was actually quite happy about that. You can simply slip these on like a regular rain boot but also have the fun style of the laces. And I didn't find them to feel sloppy at all. They're perfect for what I was looking for - stylish AND functional boots for the rain/mud!
