Love this boot -
I love this boot. It is warm, stylish, and comfortable and has a thick sole with great traction. Lots of toe room to wiggle them, which is important in extreme cold. It seems very well made and the leather is high quality. I should be able to wear it many winters. I am rarely this pleased with footwear.

The shoe is very cute and pretty comfortable. I ordered a half size up and am debating if I should return them and get my normal size. However, I like my shoes to fit very closely and these are a little loose for a slip on. I could probably fix it with an insole. If they had a strap I wouldn't think about a return. The thing is that if they stretch more as I wear them I might end up in trouble. Needless to say for a cheap casual work shoe it's a good buy.

Alexa Boot is Fabulous -
This boot epitomizes comfort, style, and warmth and far exceeds my expectations. Soft lush leather and cushiony sheer skin makes this a great all-day boot with all day comfort. I want another pair in brown.

Warm and dry -
This boot is awesome for cold, wet winters! These boots keep my feet so warm in cold Wisconsin winters, its all I wear! It's not the most stylish and the shaft is too narrow to tuck jeans in, but when your feet are warm -who cares?

Very nice boot -
These are very warm and attractive. The slight flare of the sole gives them a slight edge and keeps them from looking bland. I ordered a half-size larger than usual and find it to be a good fit. If they made this same boot in a knee-high style, I would drop another bundle of $ on those.

Best Winter Boot!
I bought this boot for a winter trip to Quebec City. I wanted a boot that would be warm, waterproof, and have good traction on snow and ice, and would also be stylish enough to go to dinner. The Alexa met all these criteria and was better than I could have imagined. The shearling lining makes it super warm. It is an extremely comfortable boot, and felt great right from the start. I have a fairly narrow foot and calf and usually wear a size 8, but I found that the 7.5 fit better. They felt very snug at first, but the shearling and leather loosen up after wearing them a short time. And because the shearling lining is so warm, there's no need to wear heavy socks or double up. They feel great without socks too. I live in Boston so I'll get plenty of wear from these boots next winter.

Most comfy boot ever -
I love these boots- was nervous to buy online but free shipping both ways convinced me- they also sent in one day-boots are like a hug all day for your feet- feel great - comfy- waterproof and look great- I am thrilled.

Took a little breaking in -
These boots are definitely more polished than my old winter boots. I had to add an arch support to them because they were killing my foot after wearing them for a day. With the arch support, they are great.

I bought this I think in 2004 or 2005 and still wear them with a great pleasure. Warm, comfortable from the first try. They look the same now, even though I bought them while ago. I love this worth money boots!

I love these boots!
They are perfect! Very warm and comfortable. I was worried that they would not be comfortable with my orthotic but they fit fine.

Even though there are 30 previous reviews of these fantastic boots, I just had to put in my two cents. These boots are perfect. They are beautifully made, warm, comfortable, and very cute. I wear them with everything. The shearling lining is very high quality and surrounds the leg and foot of the shoe. I highly recommend these boots!

Handsome and a great fit -
These are terrific boots. They are stylish enough to wear to work, and comfortable enough to walk in. Also, I have slender calves and these boots provide the "snuggle factor" all the way up my calves. My only hesitation in recommending them is that the arch support is not good.

These boots are great. Comfy, warm, and definitely waterproof. I was looking for a pair to wear to work--Merrells and Uggs are too sloppy. These are casual, but definitely groovy.

Cozy and warm -
These boots fit me well and are very comfortable. They keep your feet extremely warm... so if it isn't cold out you might be too warm. The insides of boots are very plush and luxurious. They look good w/ pants, capris or gauchos.

BETTER THAN UGGS!!!
These are the best boots I've ever bought. They are gorgeous, super comfortable, and waterproof. I walk about 3 miles a day in them throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. I wish they came in more colors and I wish I had the money to purchase more of them :-)

Love the look of these boots! Funky and hip! Were a little tight due to the shearling lining but overall very comfortable. That may have loosened up as the lining compacted. No breaking needed. Kept my feet very warm and cozy. In the end, opted not to keep them as the climate here just isn't that cold...if I lived in Tahoe would be perfect. Really hard to send them back. Want these boots without the fur lining!

Again - I love the La Canadienne's for comfort and warmth - they run a 1/2 size small to my other shoes. When looking for a boot that will carry through snow and northern cold in style these are the best. My last pair lasted years!

The first pair of boots to fit me properly!
I've looked for years for a pair of tall boots that fits me as soon as I put them on, especially around the calf. These are amazingly comfortable - no breaking in required! The lining makes them warm and comfy without feeling too hot in the mild Southern California winter. Great height - not too feminine and very versatile. I think that they were a bit expensive for the simple style but they are obviously very well made. Recommended.

Beautiful boot -
I have been searching for a perfect, everyday fall/winter boot for a couple of years, and I finally found it. These boots have serious traction - good for my city terrain. The leather is soft and very supple. The interior lining is very comfortable, I feel like I am walking on a cloud. I ordered a size up because these are not available in a 5. I found them to be perfectly roomy - I have wiggle room with thin socks. The boots are on the spendy side, but I think they are worth it. Thank you Zappos for prompt delivery and great service!

Gothic look, according to my husband. Dreamy feeling.
Immediately a YES when I tried these on. Shearling is a dream and will surely keep me warm. TOO BAD the boot isn't higher. Of all 6 pairs of low heeled boots I ordered with Zappos, this is THE MOST comfy by far. True to size, I got 10W since I have a bunion and need the width. Room for a small gel insert if I so desire, but with out the insert, it still feels and fits fine. Just the right sole flexibility. I wish Zappos would get the La Canadienne Tami in chocolate suede. Nowhere to be found on earth!! it's a similar design but taller. I may send these back since I am not tall enough for my fashion tastes. Otherwise a winner.

I almost didn't order these because they were lined in shearling. But, I did and now I'm so glad. I love them! They are really comfortable. The leather is very soft. It's a really thin leather backed with super soft shearling. They are so soft and comfy from the moment you put them on. They seem true to size but do fit a little snug at first. I agree with another reviewer in wishing they were a little taller, and the brown leather is so dark it almost looks black. Otherwise they're perfect!

Alexa Warm Boot.
I was sure this boot was the perfect fit the moment I put it on. I wear an 11 Wide. It has ample toe room for my wide foot but is narrow enough in the heel. The heel height is perfect: low enough to be easy on the low back. I wish the boots weren't so clunky looking but they will be great for rainy days and especially for travel to colder climates. I own two other pairs of La Canadienne boots and love the quality workmanship.

Amazing brand!
This is my second pair of La Canadienne boots. I bought my first pair 3 years ago and wore them pretty much every day during the winter for 3 years until the insides and sole got really worn out. These shoes are very comfortable and very durable! Highly recommended!

Ordered these earlier in the season but it's been very mild in the NE. Just wore them for the first time and they are great. Snuggly and warm - really comfortable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic boots!
Worth every dime - I got these boots because I wanted something warm and waterproof for Colorado winters and a December trip to eastern Europe and am so, so happy with them. I also wear only thin running socks and my feet have always stayed warm, even if my (covered up) head and hands became frozen outside. Super-comfy even after walking all day on cobblestone European streets. The only negative is that the dye does not seem to be colorfast - the 1st day I wore these boots with khakis and the insides and cuffs of my pants turned black - it came out in the wash but was a surprise.
