Disappointed -
I have had the Elixer 3 for several years, and was very disappointed in the "new model." It does not have the cushy layer that the Elixer 3 had, which made it so comfortable.

I bought a pair of these last year (2007) and am still wearing them well. They are the most comfortable shoe I've owned - can walk all day in them and my feet never hurt. I love Zappos service - great!

Awesome sandals -
I had to return my normal size for a full size smaller, but I love them now that I got the right fit. I had bought my husband a pair and his fit him true to his size 10. The women’s fit different, I am an 8 1/2 or 9 and needed an 8. I wear these sandals all the time since I got them. They are so comfortable! I love them for up in the mountains and in the desert. I am very flat footed so the arch support is great.

These are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever owned. I feel like I could walk for miles and miles in them. Not only do they not rub anywhere on my feet, but my back and knees feel great even after walking around in these all day.

This is my second pair - I wanted to be sure to have a back-up if anything happened to the first (even though it looks as though it will last forever). The sturdiest and most comfortable thongs I've ever had, and good-looking as well.

Too comfy. This is my second pair of Teva Elixers. In the beginning I wasn't sure about the style, but they look great with jeans and even a casual skirt or shorts and most important of all, they are the most comfortable even after a day at the mall.

This thong looks like it has good shock absorption due to the sturdy sole. Unfortunately, I will be returning mine because it is too wide for my low volume feet.

Excellent hiking sandals!
These Teva sandals are great! The day they arrived at my door I went on a 2 hour hike in the mountains with them and had no problems- no blisters! They are so comfortable and have great tread! Highly recommended!!!

Great product, great service -
Bought these for a trip to Walt Disney World. Walked all over the parks, to the beach, Kennedy Space Center, etc. for 10 days. My feet didn't hurt once. My new favorite shoes. Best flip flops I ever purchased (my wife got a pair and loves hers too.) Great service from Zappos. I will buy all my shoes there. I had to return the first pair--didn't fit--new pair were at my house the next day, even before I had a chance to return the first pair. Impressive!!

Flopping around -
These were very cute, but I guess I need to order a size or half size down. I ordered a 7 and I'm usually a 7 to a 7 1/2 in regular shoes. Anyway, these were so loose and floppy I am afraid I'll trip in them. They seem a little heavy also, but in a smaller snugger size, perhaps that would not be noticed. The arch support is really nice.

Rugged comfort, not pretty -
I ordered these to use for walking extensively in Europe, and am glad they can double for light hiking and also look decent enough with summer skirts. They're quite comfortable and my feet didn't hurt after many hours, which is unusual for me. They are a bit clunky though, and not what I'd call cute, but they do the job. I even used them in the shower at a few hostels, and they hold up well to the water.
Even though my pair fit perfectly (ordered 1 size down from my usual size), after 3 straight days I developed little blisters on the back of my heel. The back of these curves up to "cup" your heel, and this is where I got blisters.
Overall, I'm pleased enough to wear them on future vacations, but they're not quite as great as I expected based on other reviews.

I usually can't wear "flip-flop" type shoes, but I can wear these because of the great arch support and wider band that goes across the top of the foot. I can wear them all day without my feet hurting, and that's a first!

My favorite shoes -
This is my 3rd pair of this sandal ~ they are incredibly comfortable and supportive and they hold up well. If you are looking for a sandal you can spend a long day walking in, this is the one.
And as always, Zappos service was extraordinary!

A coworker recommended the Teva Mush as the best flip-flop ever. I ordered a pair and was pretty disappointed in them. So... as usual... I strolled through the Zappos store. I was in search of a flip-flop with good arch support and came across the Elixer. Expensive for a flip-flop, but worth it for me with my flat feet. Love 'em!

This is a great sandal and quit dressy. Very comfortable and comes in great colors. I have the light blue and love them. Highly recommend.

The reviews are true - these are wonderful flip flops. I have flat feet and as I age, wearing shoes with arch support is essential. They're expensive, so I'm hoping they'll last well beyond this summer.

Comfortable & conforms to the foot -
Unlike many flip-flops, these have arch support and don't require a lot of toe-clenching to keep on your feet. I never walk out of them! My husband ordered a pair also, and they looked great on him, but unfortunately weren't comfortable enough for his very wide feet.

GREAT sandal -
I just got my second pair of the "Elixer" sandal - love them. I did get a size smaller than the first pair, and they look much less clunky. They have wonderful arch support, are very rugged - I hiked around Glacier National Park in them - and sturdy (I've put them thru the washer at least 3 times!). Everything else is just a flip-flop.
