These shoes are fantastic. The kangaroo leather, like many others have said, is absolutely worth the extra money. It is ultra soft and feels like a worn in pair of shoes the first time you put them on.

My husband loves these shoes, he\'s gone through maybe 6 pairs in his life time. And he convinced me to purchase a pair for myself. I keep thinking, why would a girl wear this. But to my surprise, I\'ve received compliments on these shoes. It goes really well with Jeans and shorts.\r\n\r\nThese shoes fit like a glove and lasts forever, but just incase, we love them so much we have 2 back-up pairs in the closet since my size (5 woman) and my husband\'s size (8.5 men) are difficult to find. I find the shoe size is about 1.5 size smaller than what I normally wear.

These shoes are awesome! The leather looks great and very high quality. The Samba itself is a very comfortable shoe that feels durable and sturdy. I usually wear something lighter like Adidas Orion or Onitsuka Tiger by Asics and compared to those shoes the Samba feels more like a boot, but that's not a bad thing at all! Also, after doing research on Kangaroo leather I found that it's only ever made from wild kangaroo who are hunted in areas that they have overpopulated in Australia; much better than leather made from cows who are raised in captivity and treated poorly.

Most of the members in my band where these shoes to practice since we perform with Copa Mundial (cleat version). I have found the K to be worth it as it is much more comfortable then the standard version. These are nice shoes to walk around in and look great. However, I tend to wear other athletic shoes such as runners or cross trainers for more rigorous work. So yeah, overall very good, but not special.

First ordered the regular samba in size 12, was too small so I upgraded to Samba K's in 13. The shoe is fantastic, leaps ahead of the regular samba in terms of look & feel. So light, so comfortable, they feel like your trusty old pair of worn in shoes as soon as you put them on.

K is actually for Kangaroo and feels like butter on your feet! Allows a truly sensitive touch on the ball...I wore these when I played professionally - now I wear them to fool around in. Classic look and aesthetic is a bonus!

Finally found them!
I have been looking for the K in woman's sizes for years, after my normal Sambas gave out 5 years on I decided to splurge and get them,. They are great, and I know they will last forever. I got them a half size small per recommendation and it was perfect.

I selected this shoe because I wanted a "flat'ish" shoe for kettlebelling. It's perfect for swinging kettlebells as well as for dead lifting and squatting. I'm pleased with the performance. The Samba is also extremely comfortable and well made.

Great shoes, except for the tongue!
I'm really glad I found out about the Samba K right before I almost ordered the standard Samba sneakers. The premium kangaroo leather really makes this shoe stand out. Usually I'm not a fan of shoes that are completely leather because they're very stiff and the overly coated, thick leather seems cheap to me. On the Samba K however, this leather is so supple and has such a great high-quality look, like that of an expensive handbag. It took no time to break in and after a couple weeks they appear even better. The look is classic, and these shoes really look like they should cost a lot more than they do.
The only downside is the tongue. Why, why does Adidas insist on putting such a long tongue on this shoe? At first I thought it was something necessary for soccer, but even if it is, I can't imagine what, since it never stays upright, in place. It loves to shimmy over to the outsides of your feet and after a while can get uncomfortable if you don't reposition. I'm not interested in folding the tongue down and putting the laces through either, since the inside of the tongue has a some-what unfinished look. With that said, everything else about the shoe helps me overlook the tongue issue altogether. I suppose a cobbler could easily shorten the tongue.

Just as I remembered them only better!
I will never buy shoes from a store again - thank you, Zappos, for amazing service. I first ordered these shoes in a 6.5, as 6.0 were not available. The 6.5 were too big so I ordered the 5.5, which turns out to be perfect for this shoe. Returning the first pair was simple and I received both pairs within 1 business day of ordering them. The shoe itself fits like a glove so is more narrow than other shoes I own, but this is only because I have very wide feet. Yet because the style is unisex it works just fine and so should be perfect for other women with fairly wide feet. Please note that while I normally wear a W 7.5, the 5.5 fit me perfectly - get these shoes - they are just as I remember from the original ones in the early 80s only even more comfortable! Thank you Zappos!

Great shoe; Great service. I ordered my normal size, but the shoe felt a little small. As usual, ZAPPOS customer service is great and I was quickly able to get the right size.
The shoes look great. And although the arch felt a little uncomfortable during the first two days, the shoes broke in quickly afterwards. Now, they are incredibly comfortable.

What can be said?
If you're going to buy Sambas, spend the money and get these instead of the synthetic. Sambas are like a foot glove. And then there is the style, I mean what can you say?

You couldn't look at a photo of my siblings and I as kids without seeing one of us wearing Sambas! I recently needed a new pair of shoes for a trip to Ireland. Knowing I only wanted to take one pair, and that they needed to be comfortable, but make me stand out like a tourist in running shoes - I thought I'd give the Samba's another try. They're quickly become my favorite shoes! And Zappos.com is faster than going to the store! :) Love them!

Great shoe! Definitely worth the extra money for the kangaroo leather and a tongue that will fold down. Very comfortable for casual wear. For indoor soccer I find the shoe to be a little wide and need to wear 2 pair of socks. Great touch on the ball. I do wish the tongue was black when you fold it down instead of white.

I bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas. He has the Samba Classic, but they were getting old and he has always had Samba's he has had one pair of the Samba K's and loved them. They are hard to find in his size and Zappos had them and he loved them. Will definitely buy again.

Old Sambas are good Sambas -
If you like the slipper-like feel of the original Sambas, spend the extra $$ to upgrade to the Samba K's, cause you’re gonna love em! Great for soccer or just kickin' it. I like to buy mine small so that they stretch out a little. Like always with Sambas, allow ~1-2 weeks to break in, and they’ll become your favorite shoes.

Order 1/2 size larger if you need to put in orthotics. My husband usually wears a 13 regular width but uses orthotics - the 13.5 fits fine.

Best Shoe Ever!
This is by far the best shoe that I have ever purchased. They are so comfortable they are like wearing slippers. I love wearing these shoes without socks, wore them without socks all summer long... only drawback is now they smell pretty bad, LOL. These shoes are also very durable too... I wore these shoes on a camping trip and they were water logged a few times but held up just fine. I get many compliments on these shoes... buy them!!

My boyfriend loves these- he had them when he played soccer and has bought Sambas ever since. On his recommendation I bought a pair, and I wear them everywhere! At first they are definitely a little stiff, but they've broken in well and the only issue I have with them is that the arch support. It's good for most people, but my feet are a little flat so it can irritate me sometimes.

Better than original...
Ordered this shoe for my boyfriend when he wanted the Samba, but couldn't stand the tongue in the regular Sambas. He loves everything about this shoe. They were comfortable to wear right out of the box. (I think he wore them about a week straight--he really didn't want to take them off). From a girl's perspective, they match everything, tend to not make large feet look huge like some shoes tend to do, and they look really good.
