Perfect Easy Hiker -
I purchased the Lowa Renegade GTX Lo Lady as an alternative hiking /walking shoe. I found that my boots were over kill on an easy trail, but running shoes were not supportive or stiff enough for my preference. I am very pleased with the heavy tread and support that this shoe provides. They seem very well made, and should last longer than other less expensive brands. They are reasonably attractive for this type of footwear. I should also mention that they did not seem to need a breaking in period, I walked for a little over 2 hours the first time out and felt great, no blisters!

Great shoes -
I bought these shoes for next winter, so I haven't really had a chance to wear them other than to try them on for fit and comfort. They seem very comfortable and look good with jeans.

My initial reaction is that this boot is going to fit the day hiking trips I am taking just perfectly. Feels supportive and comfortable.

A comfortable shoe right out of the box. My foot runs more to slim and I'm closer to flat footed than high arch and these feel great in the sizing. The toe box does not squeeze (I have toe discomfort from poorly fitted shoes in my early hiking days!). There are nasty, sharp seeds in the grass where I hike in the summertime so I needed a solid leather, shoe without mesh in it which makes these perfect. I'm used to a higher hiking boots that goes to the ankle but wanted a change and these feel solid. I would definitely recommend the Lowa.

Very comfortable and well made shoe. Priced a bit more than most in this category but nice to know it is NOT made in China.
Highly recommended.

Swiss Alps Approved -
I just got back from the Swiss Alps and I wore these shoes for the first time there. (After only wearing them around the house and to walk my dog--breaking them in on flat ground). I didn't have any feet problems at all on my vacation! I hiked up and down mountains and my feet were very happy. I also had some great socks that cushioned my feet--the combination was perfect. I received a few comments about how great my shoes looked, as well. I would definitely recommend these shoes, especially if you are traveling and need hiking shoes that pack easily. I actually have a pair of the Lowa Renegade high top boots, but didn't want to drag them across the globe. These shoes suited me very well.

This shoe was a perfect fit for me. I thought it a bit pricey, but I had no hot spots or blisters and I wore them right out of the box. I like their looks too, and received compliments which surprised me. They are handsome in an understated way.
