A Classic and My Long Lost Friend!
I wore Tretorn tennis shoes since I was a teenager in the early 80s. At any given time, I'd have several on hand in varying states of wear. When they got real old, I'd wear them in the lake or for painting. These shoes are like slippers! I've had probably 25 or 30 pairs over the years. For the past decade, it has been impossible to find them ...very sad! I've tried other shoes, but none of them came close to the feel of a Tretorn Nylite tennis shoe. Lately, I've been down to my last pair -- torn and covered with puke green paint from when I painted a school in inner-city Detroit with a local charity. I came close a few years ago when I found them at a store in Florida ... alas; they only had the men's model. Now, thanks to Zappos, I've been reunited with my favorite shoe! Thank you so much for carrying Tretorns! This shoe is truly the most comfortable light walking shoe around. The fit is amazing, and it's not bulky or heavy. It's far better looking on the foot than Keds, too. Try them and you'll be hooked!

Great sneaker -
I have worn Tretorns for years and was unable to find them until my daughters gave me a gift certificate to Zappos. This shoe gives great support which I need because of back problems and recent knee surgery.

Amazing lightweight shoe!
I had a pair of these shoes over 5 years ago and now that I'm pregnant, I looked for four weeks until I found them. They are the most comfortable tennis shoe I have ever put on my foot. Very comfortable and definitely worth every penny!

Sooooo Old School! I LOVE THEM -
To be honest with you, these compared to the older ones are so much lighter. They are very comfortable to wear. The sizing is just a little off. I am pretty picky about how I wear my shoes. I normally wear a size 7 but got a 6.5. I think that they run a little big. Other people say the opposite, but I beg to differ!

Classic comfort -
I've been wearing this brand and style sneaker for years and "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" It's great for giving enough room for your toes and the one-color appearance isn't glaring.

All time classic tennis shoe -
Not the easiest sneakers to find these days. It's nice to see Tretorn keep the classic Nylite style along with some of their newer, trendier sneakers. Very well made shoes. I find them to run a bit small/narrow, so go up a half size or even a whole size if need be. Kinda pricey too for a basic shoe. About twice as much as the K Swiss Classic which is similar. But I love these soo much.

My favorite old school love...
These haven't changed a bit in 20 years. I love this pair as much as my first pair when I was in middle school! I've gotten a few comments on them, mostly from people who have never seen the brand before. Much more comfortable than my "classic" K-Swiss. Sizing was still the same, too. Absolutely worth the only change I noticed...the price! Quite a bit more expensive than my last pair of leathers. Oh well, I'd order them again in a heartbeat!

Tretorn lover -
Tretorn's are the only tennis shoe I can wear. I'm thrilled to still be able to find them. Although they don't quite compare to the originals, they are close. I found w/my last order that the sizing was about a half size larger.

I love Tretorn’s!
I have looked for Tretorn shoes for several years and had been told they were no longer manufactured. In the 70's they were my tennis shoe and later my walking shoe. I only had one pair left that I was nursing along. Thank goodness I found you!

Not like the old days -
I had Tretorn’s back in the 1980's and they were ultra comfortable. They are not as cushioned as they once were.

Not quite like the original, but still good!
I've been a Tretorn lover since high school and, as many of you reading this know, it has been very difficult finding the "classic Tretorn" shoe for the last several years. Thank goodness for the ability to search online!
Though I miss the nice spongy terrycloth inside of the now-long-gone Tretorn (I'm talking 20+ years ago here!), I'm just happy to have the "Tretorn look" back.
I'd bought a pair of the Tretorn XTL Gullwing shoes last year (before the leather nylites hit Zappos' website) and was not as happy with them as I am with these.
I love this shoe!
