Salomon shoes seem to run narrow, which works for me, as I have very narrow feet. I love the style of these shoes, footbed comfortable, good arch, but unfortunately the tongue was very uncomfortable for me. I settled on the Salomon Exit Peak instead.

Excellent light hiking/biking shoe -
Having a shoe size of 7.5 I find it almost impossible to find my size. I tried the Elios at a store and found the next size, 8 to be a perfect fit. Outstanding shoe. I just ordered my second pair of the original shoe. Thank you Salomon and Zappos!

Disappointed -
I really like the Solomon brand and have been happy in the past. Not so with these shoes. They are narrow in the toe and the insole in uncomfortable. They look good if that means anything. I would return them but they have been worn. A pricey mistake.

Greatest shoe I have ever had!
I saw this shoe advertised in a very slick Salomon flyer/magazine with a $15 off coupon. I found it at a local shoe store. The minute I put it on, I knew it was a different feel. It fit like a glove, not like the Nike and other "white tennis shoes" I have worn for the past 30 years! I bought the shoe and went back the next day to purchase a second pair of the same shoe. They were sold out of my size. I found it on Zappos and ordered a pair. That was another great experience: free shipping and they arrived at my door in two days! I love Zappos. So what can I say, the shoe is great and Zappos' is great.

Most comfortable I've ever worn -
I'd never worn Salomon shoes before, and when I was on vacation in Vail, CO I had the opportunity to try them on. WOW! As soon as I put them on my feet, I knew I had to purchase a pair. They are snug, and they do run about 1/2 size small. But once I got the right size they felt as if they had been tailored to my feet. The cushioning on the bottom is perfect: not too supple, but good spring in them to absorb a day's of trail abuse. Great support on the sides of the foot. They also look great! Highly recommended!

SALOMON ELIOS. Appears to be a sturdy, supportive shoe with good forward roll for walking. My regular size was 1/2 too small so I reordered 1/2 size larger. Toe box is on the narrow side, like NIKE.

Great shoes!
This is the second pair of Salomon’s I've owned and both were very comfortable shoes. The Elios are great for trail running and light hiking. They are light weight with great ankle support. Very little if any break-in was needed. I ordered the shoes with free shipping from Zappos at 9:00 PM on Thursday, and had them by 3:00 PM on Friday!
