I read all of the reviews on the Isabel prior to purchasing them. I didn\'t see another dark brown show that I loved so I went for it despite everyone\'s comments about the uncomfortable rubbing from the silver clasp. I guess I\'ve been lucky, I have not had the same discomfort as the others. And, I will agree that the shoe is very pretty. I really like them and zappos is a wonderful company to work with.

Beautiful shoes. Very flattering on the foot with a comfortable, stable heel. The metal detail does not bother me at all. My only gripe would be the stretch in the shoe which although very comfortable, tends to allow my foot to slide forward slightly while walking which makes my toes hang off the top a bit. I don't have particularly narrow feet so I don't think that is the problem. The shoe is a bit hard but this is easily solved with sticky pads, I put them in almost all my shoes anyway!

Love the shoe. Have both the navy and the brown. The buckle is metal on the top of your foot. It does bother me some, but not too much that I won’t wear the shoe. Thinking of putting a felt pad on the back so metal doesn’t hit the skin.

This Brighton sandal is way cuter than it is on the comfort level! When walking, as your foot flexes, the upper side of the silver detail digs into the foot. The heel height is great, and the looks are adorable, but it is not very comfy. I would not walk blocks or malls in this shoe.

Very pretty navy shoe. However, the buckle on the front makes the shoe uncomfortable. It does seem to be getting a little better the more I wear them, but I would not suggest wearing this shoe all day. It runs true to size.

Beautiful details and workmanship. The only thing I don't like about this shoe is that I avoid wearing them on days when I know I'll being using stairs frequently because of the loud "clomping" noise they make when going down a flight of stairs that aren't carpeted! I originally purchased them in an 8.5 but returned them for a size 9 as I thought the length of the 8.5 was a little short (width on both sizes is fine).

I love the shoes. I ordered them in black and brown. I ordered a half size larger because I have noticed from prior purchases with Brighton shoes that they run a little short.
I do feel that the shoes do run a little wide. Other than that they are wonderful and I would recommend them.

This shoe was so much more beautiful than I imagined! While the heel part feels a bit "heavy" it doesn't affect the comfort. I bought it in a wide width because I find I need that in slip on shoes. They are perfect and I love wearing them!

I thought this was a great shoe. It was very comfortable and I can wear them with pants or skirts. The heel height is perfect as well. I would recommend trying this shoe.

Cute but uncomfortable -
I think I've worn these maybe twice since I purchased them. They are stiff and don't give; when you walk they flap hard as flip flops do. The ornament digs into your foot with each step. There are other styles much more comfy, but I do notice a change in the way Brighton shoes fit in the last few years. They were made in Italy and now they are made in Brazil, so perhaps that explains the change. Cute show but miserably uncomfortable!

Sacrifices Comfort For Looks -
I LOVE how these shoes look, so I was sad to return them after wearing them for only 20 steps or so around the house. They are SO uncomfortable - the pretty silver buckle rubbed so much around the top of my foot, I put them back in the box in no-time. Zappos was fantastic about the return and I've ordered shoes from here before this one and after - I highly recommend Zappos.

Love these shoes!
These shoes are really cute - you can dress them up or down. I have wide feet and they are comfortable. The buckle does sometimes dig into my toe but nothing too bothersome.

I love this shoe - got it in blue and going back for the black. I took previous reviewers advice and wore the shoe for short periods until it was broken in and have since worn it walking around all day and I haven't had any trouble with the buckle - buckle really makes the shoe look great - worth it!

I would have given these shoes 5 stars except the sole is a bit flat-footed and stiff when you walk, but not uncomfortable… just kind of odd & I've adapted. I wore them 18 hours the first day with no problem and had compliments on them.

Serendipity -
I happened upon Brighton shoes unexpectedly thinking the shop was only a quixotic little mix of trinkets, cute if a bit frivolous. Imagine my surprise then, when I suddenly discovered their formidable line of shoes, made in Italy, with beautiful lines and foot-friendly structures. I bought the Isabel shoe for its comfort and sweet simple elegance and am hooked on both this particular shoe and this line. I'm also a New Yorker so a comfortable, black stylish shoe is always a winner with me. I only wish I'd heeded the advice of the other purchasers who felt it needed to be sized up -- I'm a 7.5 and it fits comfortably, but I see how an 8 would have been a little roomier lengthwise -- since it's a slide it's not uncomfortable, only aesthetically a little, well, "abrupt" with the back of my heel exactly where the shoe ends.

I really love this shoe, the look and the height of the heel. I have only had one real issue and that is that the "buckle" on the front tends to cut into my foot a little as I walk and can end up being quite sore by the end of the day. But, still it doesn't stop me from wearing them, so...

I had just ordered these shoes one Friday late night, the next thing I knew they were on my porch. On a Monday afternoon, no less. I love the fact that they look exactly like the picture. They do feel a little narrow. But if you got a bigger size then they would be too long. It might just be me but I do love Zappos. I am a hooked customer.
