Great boots!
These boots are as comfortable and they are good looking! I wear an 11 in just about every shoe but wound up getting these in 10.5 and they fit perfect. Look sharp with slacks and just as sharp with nice jeans. Fit perfectly straight out of the box, no break-in time required.

Be careful with the sizing -
I really like this shoe, but be careful when ordering your size. I ALWAYS wear a size 10.5, no matter what type of shoe it is. But this shoe in a 10.5 was absolutely HUGE on my feet. I exchanged them for 9.5 and they are fine.

Style over substance -
Compared to other current offerings, the boots are as stylish as they are comfortable. They are well-designed and well-made. Where they fall down, at the price level, is in leather quality and leather matching. That's the hardest "baby calf" ever experienced, and the leather matching from left to right boot is egregious at the price, not only for the pair purchased, but for a pair tried on at Saks (which I thought was an aberration). That said, there's not much around in the category, and to do better is to spend several hundred dollars more.
Zappos, on the other hand, represents the kind of service and attention that is a hallmark of internet retailing.

Not the best -
I ordered these shoes along with Bruno Magli Rangle's. The two are similar in style though the Bruno's cost a little more. The Pliner's felt slightly big and the boot upper was a bit large around the ankle so it would slap around as you walk. The Bruno Magli's, on the other hand, were more comfortable, fit better and were just right around the ankles. Also the Bruno's were not as pointy so, with a size 12, your foot does not look as big.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Buy the Bruno Magli Rangle before you buy these.

Can't Go Wrong With Pliner -
Can't go wrong with a Pliner. Simple, stylish and you can actually wear them. They look great, feel great and they are of top notch construction.

Distressed Suede All Star -
Fit was exactly as expected...true to size in width and length.
Extremely comfortable and great looking.
Actual boot is nicer than in the pictures.

Wonderful except for the extras -
A beautiful boot! Sleek, handsome and comfortable--quality everywhere! Soft leather needs no break in period. My only problem was the draw-string dust bag that comes with them. Only ONE of my size 14 boots would fit in it. This is not a big issue, but I plan to travel with these and it would be nice to protect them. You might think someone at DJP would have the brains to figure this out with such nice shoes. Zappos was REALLY helpful with my issue. I don't think I'll shop for shoes any where else!
