I have about 8 pair of Earth shoes, and at the time of this purchase did not have an Earth boot, which was the motivating factor behind the purchase. I'm happy with them, because of the negative heel technology, but I can see room for improvement in terms of tightening the boot up, which requires finesse for this 26-year old.

The last pair of Earth boots I bought were comfortable and great for walking, but made my feet look like Frankenstein! These are not only (also) comfortable and great for walking, but are stylish and cool enough that I would wear them anywhere! Love them!

I got these boots delivered to my door within 24 hours of ordering them. I love you Zappos! These boots are a dream from the moment you put them on. They are unbelievably comfortable and I love the soft leather. Don't hesitate to try them. I also have several other Earth shoes from Zappos; they have the best customer service in the world.

True to size. So cute, so comfortable. I cannot wait till the cold weather to wear them outside. I will wear these with jeans and dresses. I got the black and will buy another color when my size comes in.

These seem to run a bit large in width. At first I was swimming in my regular size. But I tried them on with thicker socks and they were fine. These are quite tricky to put on, but once you figure out how to loosen up the laces it's a no-brainer. Anyway, unique entrance technique, quite moccasin type and they feel great on! Like wearing slippers. Very well made in USA!

Not for a wide foot...
...I really like the look and the leather is so soft, but my foot is on the wide side so I'll have to return them. Some brands or styles let you get away with having a foot that is a bit wide, but unfortunately, not this one...

Good shoe for bad environment -
I require a negative heel shoe to avoid plantar fasciitis and earth shoes have been the best I've found. This is my third from Zappos. Careful with this model. I ordered my usual 8.5 size and it was too small. Zappos was great about sending out a larger size, almost immediately.

Great boots!
I like these boots a lot! I like the rustic look and they get better looking with wear. For those having trouble with the lacing, just rotate your foot around at the ankle as you pull the laces tight and you'll have no problem. I went up a half size and I'm not sure that was necessary, but they work with thick socks. Scuffs will rub out with a dab of hand lotion, which works well with all nubuck. I have the dark brown. Very comfy! Great for lower back and posture!

"Too cool. Like walking on air"
Not only are these cool looking boots, but they're extremely comfortable to wear...all day. The leather is so soft & supple. I have a high arch, so support is important. These boots provide that support. I also found them to be very warm. They've kept my feet cozy in the cold. If you're a hippy dippy like me, you will love these boots.

Comfy and cute, but somewhat fragile -
I love the look of these boots, I mostly wear with jeans so only the bottom is showing. The ties have a tendency to come undone which can be a big hassle. They are comfortable. When they arrived the toes looked quite scuffed, as if someone else had worn them before I got them. I decided maybe they were supposed to look like that but I still wish they hadn't. They get new scuffs easily too. But overall satisfied.

Great boot out of the box -
The look and feel of these boots is great. Comfy out of the box. As others have stated, the there is a learning curve with the laces, but once I figured that part out, they fit perfectly. After reading other reviews, I did order a half size up and am very happy I did. I love the heel, it has helped a great deal with my posture. Highly recommend these cute boots!

As Nice as Pictured -
The boots are very attractive, but the leather is super prone to nicks/scratches/creasing. The negative heel takes getting used to and digs in to the back of the heel with thinner socks.

I read the reviews of this shoe before getting it, so it seemed most people are pleased with this boot. I was glad to see it but also had heard some people complain about getting used to the reverse heel. I had no issues with it. I put them on the day I got them, walked around the house, then went out to do my errands. I had no pain in my legs or feet after wearing. These are great boots! I did get an 8.5 but not sure if I could have used an 8. With thicker socks they are great but with thin socks it seems there may be a little extra room. Since I will be wearing them mostly in cold weather I am not concerned.

Love the style - I put off buying last year because of cost and almost couldn't find my size. I love the style and it is really comfy. Only concern is polish comes off easy and I will have to try to match. I do love the shoe! Would like to see more like this style, but not quite as heavy as this one.

Great Shoes -
I am totally satisfied with my Earth Shoes. I am also totally satisfied with Zappos quick service. I ordered my shoes on Friday afternoon and I had them Monday morning. WOW! As for the shoe, it is a very soft leather that needed no breaking-in time. The moment I slipped this boot on we were friends. The quality is great and it looks good on the foot.

These shoes are made for walking -
These are my 4th pair of Earth Shoes, 2 pair of sandals and a pair of Mary Janes. I think they are very comfortable. These are a little hippy but look cute with jeans on a snowy day.

Comfort wins over style -
Very comfortable shoe. The laces are a little awkward to tie. They are not high on style, especially when worn with jeans which cover the details. But, overall comfort wins.
The customer service at Zappos is great!

Most comfortable shoe I own -
My title says it all! The last time I owned a shoe this comfortable was back in the 70's when I owned my first pair of Earth shoes. I wish they would make more styles like this; I like boots I can wear all day in any weather.

I am impressed with these boots. It has taken me years to purchase a pair of Earth shoes due to the price, but I have to tell you its worth it!! I bought these boots to do some light hiking in Yosemite. I have wide feet, but they stretched out perfectly in about 1 hour of wear. They held up great in the snow and dirt that the hike had to offer. I look forward to trying out some Earth sandals next. I'm sold.

These are the shoes I reach for every day. I was hesitant to buy them at first as I wasn't crazy about the Moccasin look, but so glad I did. You cannot see the ties under jeans and they are very warm and comfortable for winter wear here in Northern CA. I like the rounded toe much better than the squared off toe most Earth shoes have. Because of the shape, I was able to go down a size from the Solars (I'm an 11.5 with a narrow foot and have an 11 in these and they are perfect with dress socks). They were very snug to start with, but have stretched beautifully. I get a lot of compliments, they are holding up well so far and, as a bonus, seem to be totally waterproof!

Earth scenic -
I wore earth shoes 30 yrs ago in high school. Can’t believe they are back. These are really cute and unbelievably comfortable. I love shoes and boots and these are really great. Put them on and thought they felt funny at first. Then suddenly my foot simply settled into the boot and they were perfect. No breaking in time. Couldn’t believe it.

SCENIC OVERLOOK -
I can't believe I found these great shoes! I saw them in a store in Delaware and it took me a while to decide whether I wanted to spend that kind of money on a pair of shoes, by the time I went back, they were gone. I searched all over, but could not find them anywhere, until I found them here.
I would sleep in them if I could.
I am going to order the other colors, when I get the money. OH Yeah!

Best boot of the year!
Umm, so comfortable and I love the style, look of this boot. I bought a half size larger than I normally wear and it's just a tad loose, but find this is the case with Earth shoes. The boots are designed in the U.S. but made in China. They appear to be a quality product with good construction and even stitching. I am leery of the hidden dangers of Chinese products and question the inner boot lining which appears to be a synthetic, polyester material which is not appealing. The sole (NPI) drawback to an otherwise attractive boot.
