Excellent winter boot -
I bought these because of problems I was having with my previous pair of winter boots (from another manufacturer). I bought them based on high ratings from other Zappos customers and I haven't been disappointed! The look is very stylish, the fit is supportive, the boots are comfortable, and so far they have proven to be waterproof. I have done several 3-mile walks in them and had no problems (apart from minor rubbing in the back of the heel, not enough to cause blisters or real discomfort). They fit beautifully and are great to walk in, even longer-distances. I'm sold!

Good-looking pair of winter boots!
Just received these today, and I think they look stylish, and feel comfortable. My standard shoe size is 8, and since these boots are for 8-8.5, there's plenty of room for thicker socks. I prefer wearing thin socks, so I wish they were a true 8 for a snugger fit.

Great Winter Boots!
Warm AND Waterproof! These are wonderful for dealing with snow/ice/rain storms when you still have to commute to work! The only problem I had was that an inside tag in the front of the boot snagged my hosiery (when I didn't wear leggings); once I cut out that label, no problems whatsoever! Buy your regular size and there will be enough room for an extra pair of socks if you need them.

Practical and comfortable -
Although not stylish enough for the red carpet, these boots are comfortable and practical for cold and slippery weather. I am very pleased with them for the purpose for which they were bought.

These are great!
I was a little nervous at first as I thought they would not be warm enough. I misread the description and thought they were fleece lined and they are not, instead it's a wool mix lining. I just wore them up to Whistler in the snow over Christmas and they were perfect. Very warm, good traction and comfortable to walk in all day. These run about a half size smaller than marked. I ordered a half size larger and they are a little loose in the top of the foot but with a thicker sock they are perfect.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Any other Ecco, the fit is consistent and tehy are very comfortable

fantastic boots -
These are great! I have gotten a million compliments. They are lightweight, warm and very water-proof. Look very cool, and a bit unusual. Also extremely comfortable.

These boots did not need breaking-in time. I must now wear orthotics all the time and am replacing my shoes and boots. This is an attractive, versatile, casual boot that goes well with both pants and skirts.

Gorgeously versatile -
I love this boot. I got it in the dark brown (elsewhere). The look is great. Goes with anything - I wear knee length skirts with tights a lot, and this boot is the perfect length for that since its short enough that you still get a few inches of leg showing between the top of the boot and the knee. I can wear these boots out for coffee or hiking on the trails. Sizing: Normally I wear 8.5 or 9. I have low arches. My calf measures 14.75 inches at the widest part. First I ordered the 39, and thought it fit well enough. I had about half an inch to spare at the toe, and the calf felt just right. But with thick wool socks it was just too snug so I exchanged them for the 40. The 40 is perfect. Just a bit looser around the calf but still give a sleek look. Comfortable with tights or with winter socks. Was freezing here today but my feet stayed nice and warm. Lots of compliments. Nice under jeans too. Could probably fit skinny jeans into the larger size (don't know for sure since I don't own any).

NOT for a plus sized leg -
When I took these boots out of the box I was praying they would fit because they are as cute as they are in the picture. Alas, they do not fit my slightly larger-than-average calf. The top ½ inch was far too snug.
Kudos to Zappos -- I got the free overnight shipping and received my order within 15 hours.

This boot is fabulous.
I have difficult feet to fit, and with 2 recent surgeries it's been pretty much impossible. Thanks to Zappos, though, I've ordered multiple pairs and have found good fits. This boot is one. I'm going to Italy for 3 weeks and wanted a waterproof boot that was flat for plenty of walking. These are cute, sturdy, and my orthotics fit just fine. The wool lining is warm and snuggly. The buckles on the right boot did irritate my ankle, but I just loosened them and the problem went away. Well worth the money.
