Love these. They are a sturdy, comfy replacement for Chucks. The sole even keeps my feet dry walking home when it\'s wet out, no water leaks! There\'s a little bit of sock-related heel squeaking, but that\'s pretty typical. I will totally buy these again.

Really comfortable shoe. I first bought it because of the Sandlot, but it lives up to its name. It's well worth the money and it's a nice conversation starter. Really good buy.

Good quality shoes. They look great and feel great. However, you should buy a half sizer bigger than usual, and don't play basketball with them.

My 21 year old son has worn Converse high tops from the time he was 12 years old until he tried these at 16. Now he refuses to wear anything else. I thought he was being ridiculous when he refused to wear the Converse Chucks I got him, I mean after all they look a lot alike. Till I put a pair on and what a difference. The Converse were very uncomfortable compared to these. My son works on his feet and I now understand why he likes these so much. We are on our 3rd pair of the PF Flyers Center Hi Re-Issue Sandlot/Canvas shoes. He wears them till they are falling apart. PF Flyers are very hard to find nowadays. Please don't stop making them. They are great!

My first pair ever and extremely satisfied. The lightly cushioned, arched insole is a quantum leap beyond 'Chucks'. The heel does make a farty sound, but not all the time and it's not an issue. Will wear these till they fall apart, then get some more!

I'm on my fourth or fifth pair in as many years. Best shoes ever. I wear one pair at work and an old pair for exercising. My oldest pairs are wearable and super comfortable, the insoles do need replacing eventually, New Balance will send you free ones, and you'll want to clean up the rubber once in a while. They can also develop small holes in the sides where the front piece of rubber ends. Note: My last two pairs have squeaked from time to time during their first two weeks. This is your heel rubbing against the back of the shoe. You can stop the noise by walking around with your toes pressed down a little.

Love these shoes! I have owned about 7 pairs of monochrome Converse hi-tops. My last pair wore out and I decided to try these. I got them today (Zappos shipped them overnight!), and I love them. If you like Converse Chucks, you'll like these too!

PF Flyers live up to the guarantee (run faster and jump higher). The other day I had the challenge of a lifetime in which I had to tame the beast, PF Flyers gave me the edge here. And then they gave me the ability to steal home. Without a doubt the fastest shoes on the market!

The shoes are stylish and great-looking, but they produce a ridiculous squeak when I walk. I suppose that PF Flyers have always claimed to make you "run faster and jump higher." Now, I realize that this is true just because you're forced to walk on the balls of your feet so as to avoid sounding like a duck when you walk.

Best shoe ever - I watched Sandlot all the time growing up and finally bought a pair even though I waited till I was 16. These shoes feel great, light and good arch support. They felt true to size to me. A must have for sure.

I love the look of the shoe; I was a bit concerned that I had to order in a men's size, but the shoe fits great, not too wide. I love the stripe and the emblem. I bought the beige.

I absolutely love these shoes. I didn't have one problem fitting into them. I receive tons of compliments when I wear them. The only problem I have with them is that they make a farting noise when I walk in them. I've never had that problem with any other shoe I have ever purchased.

I\'ve been wearing chucks since I can remember the flyers are great shoes but not perfect.\r\n\r\nPros:\r\nThey have far more support and feel far more substantial than all-stars. They also take far longer to wear in.\r\nOver all they feel much better than any pair of chucks I\'ve every owned, at least that I can remember in the last 15+ years.\r\nThe sole actually provides traction- the sole of a pair of chucks may as well be greased with butter.\r\n\r\nCons:\r\nThey don\'t shape your feet as well as all-stars... they aren\'t as comfortable in that respect.\r\nAlthough I suspect that these would out last a pair of chucks (which is saying a lot) the rubber on the side (near the sole) of the flyers has (in only 2 months of use) started to slightly break away from the canvas.\r\nThese look much fatter (wider) than a pair of chucks.\r\nThe green dye that is used in areas on the inside of the shoe wears off on your socks pretty badly.\r\n\r\nOver all:\r\nReally good shoe but not good enough to switch completely from chucks. I think I might keep buying both- flyers are not a better shoe, they are a different shoe.\r\n\r\nAlso like the other reviews say you\'ll want to size up from a pair of chucks- I found that buying a half-size up worked perfect.\r\nFlyers are a half-size smaller than chucks.

I needed 1/2 size larger than Chuck Taylors. Fit, comfort, etc. are about equal to Converse. Just some minor styling differences. I was a little disappointed because there is no more arch support than Chuck Taylors. For me it's a toss up- buy either one.

These shoes look way cool! Just wish I could say that they fit as good as they look. The size is right on but my pinky toe starts rubbing against the shoe and feels really uncomfortable after a while and my foot is very skinny/not wide at all. I've had these shoes for a few weeks now and I’ll still wear them cause of the cool factor only not for extended periods of time...

I love them. They are a lot more comfortable and solid than Converse All-Stars, especially the modern, one-ply "textile" Chucks. They're made by New Balance, which is one of the less evil shoe companies. I'd recommend these over the competition any day. MAKE SURE YOU ORDER about a half-size higher than normal, though. The other reviewers weren't joking about these fitting a little tight, and I'm glad I took their advice.

Everything I had Hoped for and More -
What a fantastic shoe. I had been wearing those slip on Vans for years. But then I was watching the Sandlot and figured, 'hey, those shoes look sweet, and they were legendary to my childhood.' So I bought a pair. WOW. Turns out my feet have been walking a crummy life up till now! I LOOOOVE them. I really do feel like I could run faster and jump higher. What a shoe! And hardly anyone else has these, so everyone thinks I'm awesome, haha. Also, my feet have never really settled well with Converse, maybe because I have a little wider of feet? But these really hit the Spot. Now I gotta go pickle The Beast!
