La Sportiva Onix GTX-XCR boots, Seneca Rock -
Best boot I ever owned. Always before, I insisted on expensive, best-quality, leather boots because my feet are so tender and man-made materials are not generally easy on my feet, but I decided to try these after reading a good review, and am so glad I did. These are the first boots I have not had to break in - EXTREMELY comfortable, rugged, and very well made. Also waterproof, and hard to get looking dirty. They clean up easily, and so far after a couple of months of hard wear, still look like new. Absolutely no blisters or bruises on my feet. My toes are so happy. Good looking, too. I get lots of compliments. They cost much less than I usually have to dish out for hiking boots, too.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Donald Pliner (they caress my feet, although they run small, so have to upsize)

Great Shoe!
This is a great shoe for hiking. I bought it for a 5 day trip in Glacier National Park. It kept my foot warm even after I stepped into too deep water and got the inside wet. Great traction and didn't need any breaking in.
