I really like my tennis shoes, and walk 4 miles everyday in them. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I didn't even have to break them in, and they caused no blisters.

Woman Ordering Men's size -
I ordered a pair of Earth Energetic women's size 10 (white with pink trim) a couple years ago for my terribly broken feet & bad back - they did much more good than the expensive orthotics, but they were right on the edge of too small. This year, after tearing a tibial tendon, I wound up ordering an 8.5 in men's to be comparable to a 10.5 women's & a tad wider in the forefoot. The men's insole arch hit in the wrong place, so I had to replace them with my old women's sz 10 insoles & although the forefoot fits better, I have to tie them on tight in order to keep the heel on. They do help my feet and back tremendously, but I find myself dreading putting them on, especially in Florida in the summer because they are hot & heavy (and very much not feminine colors). Hopefully Earth Shoe Co. will soon get that they should focus on their strongest customers… people who want & need nice-looking comfortable (& practical) shoes that are good for their feet & backs (all us baby boomers - the people these shoes were originally designed for & realize that women over size 10 are people, too!).

Saved my career -
I'm a pharmacist with a very bad case of metatarsalgia and Morton’s neuroma. The ball of my foot and the nerve between the 3rd and 4th toe were so inflamed that I could not walk normally without taking max doses of Motrin 3-4 times a day. After I took my shoes off and sat down, it felt like someone was holding a match under my toes. This shoe took the pressure off the ball/toe area and spread it around the heel and arch. The negative effect was a little too much for me so I placed a rubber insole under the manufactures insole and Voila - this is the best fitting shoe I've ever owned with plenty of cushion and NO HOT SPOTS. If you've got any type of pressure spots, this is the shoe for you!

Better posture and stability -
Definitely a very comfortable shoe. Provides relief from my toes getting crowded from the boots I have to wear at work. Better posture and stability even while standing, and are comfortable enough for running. No sore legs or knees after hiking, though it was a bit tougher going uphill. My only other complaint is that the style from the outside looks like an "old-man" shoe.

A bit of a rub -
The fit, comfort and general quality of the shoe are excellent. The only problem has been the tongue in one shoe has caused rubbing on the top of some toes. (No other shoe I have owned does this.)

Unbelievable -
This is the first pair of earth's I have ever purchased. It will not be our last. My husband loves these shoes, he cannot believe the difference it makes in his knees, nor can I, he can now run around all day up and down hills and dales with no problems at all, and he has been years since he has had any relief from knee pain. He has a narrow, flat foot and the width was fine. He loves his shoes and tells everyone he knows about these shoes. I am happy and he is happy!!!!!!!!!! I might add I ordered 2 pairs because I did not know how the sizes ran and we were leaving on vacation. He did go with the larger size and I returned the smaller with Zappos wonderful CS. Customer service, they are the best around!

Perfect Fit -
This shoe fit perfectly. As soon as I put it on it was like" Where have you been all my life?" They look great and really feel wonderful. I plan on buying dressy versions to wear to work.
Plus, Zappos please sell other products as you are a 10 on a five star rating- excellent service, immediate shipping, easy return and immediate credit, customer service agents who know the meaning of the word "customer!"

Sore knees -
It took a week and a half of outdoor walking but, now both my knees are aching and I've had to give up walking until they recover. I'm so disappointed. It's a very comfortable shoe to wear. You have that slight feeling of walking uphill and that's not so bad. I was very hopeful with this shoe because I suffer with plantar fascia problems. I guess I'll have to keep searching.

I bought these for volleyball reffing. They take a little to get used to, but they have made a difference in how my back feels at the after reffing 7 matches in a day.

I love these shoes!
I have a very high arch in my foot and have never been able to find a shoe that is comfortable to wear for a long period of time. At work I am on my feet all day and this becomes a problem. After the first day of wearing my new earth shoes I couldn't believe how wonderful my feet felt. Thank you thank you thank you!!! My back pain is gone, my feet feel great and I will never buy another brand of shoe again. I love these shoes.

My husband loves these shoes!
My husband has had problems with his knees for years. These shoes have helped with his knee pain and help him walk correctly. They are a little funny to walk in at first, but feel right in no time. (I also own Earth shoes and love them as well!)

The shoe is fine and fits well. I expected less heel for a more upright stance. The first day I noticed slight muscle pull in the back of my thighs. After two weeks I don't notice any difference in the feel or my walk. I was hoping for more pull on my lower back.

Very Good, So Far. I've been wearing for a few months. At first I did not like the negative heel because of the way it made me feel unbalanced, but once I got used to it, I actually craved it. Nevertheless, it is not a shoe I want to wear all the time; rather, it is a shoe that I want when I go for walks and want a better work out.
When i'm just hangin out, I prefer a normal type of lightweight running/walking style shoe.
The negative heel forces a more difficult stride that requires more conscious control, which seems to be good for walks intended to be workouts.
The negative heel also seems to work new muscles, especially the calves.
The negative heel also effects my posture, causing me to lean a bit forward. I'm not sure if this is inately good or bad, but it seems to be a good break from, or countermeasure, for regular, positive heel shoes.
I like them very much.

One of best!
I was having a lot of problems with my feet and sometimes legs. Since I started wearing the Energetic K over 2 year's ago, I have not had any issues. I got funky feet! I seem to never find the width and arch support that I need. I have been buying Kalso ever since and occasionally I will get another type of shoe and it never compares to Kalso's.

I Really Wanted To Like This Shoe -
I've had degenerative arthritis since high school and I'm very sensitive regarding footwear and learned to run like the Native American postal runners in order to minimize pain. When I saw these negative heel shoes I thought I struck gold. Not so. Basically this is a MBT shoe with the roller under the ball of the foot instead of the middle. Now I can see why people with toe problems love this shoe. I tried putting in a Spenco orthotic to raise my heel level with my toes for a flat footbed but this was impossible due to the mass of material under the ball of the foot. It reminds me of those funky jumping shoes on Seinfeld. I was surprised how comfortable they were otherwise. I really wanted to like them but the negative heel thing just didn't impress me at all. I feel it's an overly complicated failed attempt design wise and, sadly, it's still better than 99 percent of the crap out there. At 30 this is all I need: a below the ankle (low top) shoe that is lightweight without compromising quality; flexible sole that is even thickness from toe to heel (no built-up heel and no stiffeners from the instep forward); a completely flat footbed (no wedges and no curves) that is well padded and molds to your foot; arch support a la Born; and learning to walk properly. Sadly, everything is a compromise when our bodies were designed to move in the forest and not on flat concrete and asphalt.

Worst Pair Of Shoes I have ever worn!
I returned 3 pairs of the Earth's Energetic K Shoes. The first pair the lace pulled through the leather. The second pair the inside material ripped in the heal area. The third pair the sole came loose. I have never seen such POOR Quality. Tried ordering the Orion 2 and Zappos only carry the Orion. VERY FRUSTRATING!

Oh, what should I write about these shoes, these shoes these are great!!! I had a lower back problem (no injury) and wearing these shoes I really feel better. I had spent hundreds of dollars on the shoes just to solve this back problem but trying these "Earth" shoes everything if fine. Now I wear these shoes daily for 10hrs. I am going to buy 1 more shoe from Earth. Zappos service is really cool and there return/exchange is the best!!!

Well, I felt that it did help my back somewhat and they are comfortable. I have a fairly bad case of lordosis (swayback) and these shoes fix my posture somewhat. This makes my back ach less in the evenings. :)

Great everyday shoe -
I suffer from back problems. Along with regular visits to a Chiropractor, these shoes have gone a long way to relieving my pain. I walk more upright and with a slightly longer stride which helps keep my muscles stretched and longer.

These shoes are great -
I've really enjoyed trying out these shoes. They make basic walking feel like more of a workout. Particularly down the back of your leg. Also they do make you stand straighter, just by virtue of the negative heal. Since they are different than most normal shoes I would agree with recommendations to break them in with shorter interval wearing at first. My husband wore them all day right away and found that a little uncomfortable. But I've really enjoyed wearing them. Definitely worth a try.

Most Comfortable Shoe EVER!!!
I have flat feet and I am on my feet all day at work (I work at the mall for ClubCharm.com)... I stand all day on the cement floor and at night I am a Blackjack Dealer... so, a lot of standing. I always had sore feet and back at the end of the night. I took a lot of Ibuprofin! Since getting these shoes, I no longer have those problems. It is AMAZING!!!! The first couple of days my calves hurt a little adjusting. But, now, I wouldn't trade these shoes for anything! They are worth their weight in gold! I am going to get some sandals for the summer!!!!!!!
