This is a very good looking shoe. It's not too stiff, but the shoe is extremely supportive and rugged for light hiking. I would say the shoe is pretty true to size - I usually take a size 40 and the length/width worked well for my medium/narrow feet. The only problem I had with the shoe - and it's not unique to this shoe - was the tongue. The tongue is thick and its right and left corners dug into the bony top part of my feet. I was not able to alleviate the discomfort with mid-weight hiking socks. I had a similar problem with the Merrell Siren GTX light hikers. It might have to do with the gore-tex material, not sure. In any case, I had to return these and the Merrells, and am still looking. Perhaps those with less bony feet won't experience this discomfort.

I really like my new Mephisto Allrounders. I personally enjoy the style and color (black). They are quite sleek and flattering on my feet and coordinate well with all the black I wear when I walk for exercise. As for comfort, these shoes fit the bill. They never hurt or rubbed from the first day. I wear them regularly for exercise and plan to take them as my main shoes for a two week trip to England and Scotland this summer. They are the right width for my slightly wide feet, although I do wear a medium weight sock and lace them fairly tightly to avoid a bit of a "slipping" of the heel. I am generally very pleased with these shoes.

Very comfortable walking shoe!
Wore these during a 2 week vacation in Italy and they were very comfortable every day! Very good support and cushioning, even walking on cobblestones. These are the most comfortable walking shoe I've had for travelling! Added bonus is that they are waterproof. Usually wear a 7.5, but the 8.0 fits me in this model.

Great, Comfortable Walking Shoe -
The shoe has a great cushion, and good arch support. it is excellent for walking. In fact, I feel like I could fly! I don't particularly care for the look of it; but comfort rules!

My search for the perfect walking shoe has ended. Zappos, you patiently let me return at least 4 pair of various failures. These Mephistos have enough toe room, fit well on my narrow heel, are lightweight, have a tongue that stays put, are flexible... I can go on and on. I normally wear a 7 or 7 1/2, and these were perfect in the 7 1/2. Thank you! I've never seen these in my large city.

The Allrounder -
I have been wearing Mephisto shoes, tennis shoes, and sandals for well over 10 years and I find that the Allrounder is equal if not better than the $300 plus tennis shoes I have bought before. They are really nice looking and very comfy, with a perfect fit...I highly recommend them.

Great Comfort Walking Shoe -
My husband gave me this shoe for Christmas. It was very comfortable from the first wearing and is now my favorite walking shoe. I am a big fan of Mephisto and this shoe is another reason why.

I LOVE these shoes!
These are the BEST walking shoes I've ever had -- comfortable, stylish and waterproof. Better yet, I ordered them at 7pm one night and they arrived by 10am the next morning! This is faster than I could have even bought them in the store! I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Love these shoes. They needed no breaking in and have plenty of support. I was a little hesitant because of the price but now I am glad that I spent the money.

Love these sneakers -
I purchased these sneakers for a Disney trip I was taking. Well, let me tell you, I have problems with my legs and feet, but these were the best! I wore them the whole time. Would definitely recommend them. I want another pair… just have to save up some money first.

All rounder is an all around shoe -
Awesome! The best shoe to walk in everywhere in all weather, and still look nice. I took 2 pairs of shoes to Italy for 16 days, shipped the other pair home after 4 days and never wore anything but these. Not only that, but I got compliments everywhere, in many languages!

Great shoes!
I already knew I liked Mephisto Allarounders because I've had a pair of Niro’s for a couple of years and I LOVE them. So when I needed a second pair of workout shoes, I went straight for the Allarounders. These shoes are wonderfully comfortable, and were from the first wearing. They are really pricey, but if comfort is of the utmost importance to you, give them a try.

I bought these shoes to wear on my vacation to Alaska. Lots of walking and hiking! Extremely comfortable from the get-go. Great shoe and worth the price!

I personally love this shoe ... it has enough room to move my toes and is most comfortable ... 3 things: they are a little heavy after wearing Etonic ... not sure of the color sometimes ... and am not sure of why the cost is so much ... I would probably buy them again just because of the overall fit and comfort...

Perfect Fit -
This shoe is beautiful and fits perfectly. I have heel inflammation from walking on concrete for hours at a time, and this shoe is part of the solution (along with walking on softer ground!). This shoe is SO comfortable and I do not even notice my heels after a long walk in these. Perfect!

This shoe is expensive but worth it. The fit is virtually perfect, and even with my sore feet, I sometimes forget I'm wearing them.

I have a great deal of trouble with my feet. This shoe works well for me when I put my orthotics inside. The color is great. Get lots of compliments - even from my hip granddaughter. Width feels true to size. Am looking for another pair.
