I boutght these shoes for my daughter as a Christmas gift. She put them on and loved them. She is very picky about shoes so for her to be happy from the beginning is a huge plus for this Dr. Marten shoe. As always, Zappos shipped quickly and didn't have to worry about the shoes arriving in time for Christmas.

I love this pair. I love the first pair I bought earlier, too. Anyway, this Dr. Martens 1862 is quite comfortable, needs a little break in period, but still when I wore it the first time, it was great, no painful toes, feet or whatever. Very nice. Love it! The size is good, too. Am usually a 7-1/2, but according to this pair the sizing is different, so I ordered a size 7 and it's perfect! Love Zappos, can't stop ordering shoes!

I have had a pair of these Mary Janes since 2002 and still wearing them. Now looking for a second pair in navy blue. They definitely will become one of your favorite casual shoes. I receive compliments on them still!

I love these shoes. They have a great casual look and they are really comfortable. I was worried about getting blisters on my heels when I first started wearing them, but it never happened. An overall great shoe, with great quality.

Great shoe!
I love this shoe, although I do have to agree that the shoe runs big, I normally wear a 7 but ordered a 6 and they fit perfectly! Looks great with jeans and slacks, the first day I wore them, 2 people wanted to know where I bought my shoes!

I absolutely LOVE these shoes! They have been my favorite pair for years. They finally had seen better days, making it time to search for some new ones. Took me awhile to find Zappos, but now that I had, I received my new ones last week. Still love em. They go with everything, and are very comfortable, having a classic style. I wear them almost everywhere, work, light hiking, biking.

Just like I remember...
I wore these all through high school and college, and decided to go back to my old standby when I couldn't find any suitable winter shoes this year. It's exactly as I remember. Super comfortable, appropriate for work or fun, and good for all weather.

I have these shoes and they are the best ever. I saved up for months just to get them. When they were new, they were super cool. I have had them for 3 years now and they have seen 2 pools and 1 ugly night out at my friend’s place where I lost 1 in the bush. The next day I went back to find it and luckily it was there. They are simply indestructible, when will I ever get to buy a new pair?

Nice shoe -
This is my third pair of Dr. Martens. They look good and their AirWair feature makes them a lot more comfortable than an older pair (different style) I own. However, they seem to have changed their sizing over the years. I ordered one size down from my usual size 9 to an 8 and they fit just fine.

My go-to Winter work shoes -
As a college teacher I find these are my go-to shoes for winter -- they're very good in snow/mud/rain and are very durable but also manage to be very cute and feminine under khakis or jeans. My favorite thing is they're especially good with cute wool socks, showing just a peek in the T-straps. I agree with the other people who've said they're a little too clunky for skirts for most people.

Dr. Martens Rule!
If you are looking for no-nonsense trail busting work-hard comfortable footwear, look no more. I mean it, STOP here and hook up. These are by far what you need if you don't need any crap from your foot wear. They will serve you well. Kinda cute too, but don't let the cuteness fool you. These are tougher than you are. I'm checking "felt true to size." Others may check "felt a half size larger" but those people are used to having their toes squished. These will give you plenty of welcome wiggle room. The way your feet are SUPPOSED to feel in shoes.

Super Comfort And Fit.
I have wide, problem feet and find these shoes extremely comfortable and accommodating. They have a classic look and go with anything! It is the only shoes I wear - all seasons. Highly recommended!

Super cute shoes, and the flexible sole makes them so comfortable!
They seem to run quite large - I normally wear an 8/8.5, but bought the UK5/US7 based on a previous reviewer's comments and they're perfect.

I want my old Doc Martens back!
I have bought this style of shoes for quite some time. I have owned at least 6 or 7 pairs over the years. The leather on the first pair I bought was an oiled type than you treated with shoe dubbin & most small scratches could be just rubbed out. The next few pairs were another type of leather that I used shoe polish on. They continued to have the same quality on the inside as before, so I continued buying this shoe.
The last pair I bought I was really disappointed in. My shoe has been changed from what it was originally. The style of the toe is more oval than rounded, & most importantly, the inside of the shoe is another material besides leather. The leather inside kept odor from staying in the shoe. This material makes my feet sweat and is absorbent. Also, when I walk in them, they feel like they squish down in the middle of the shoe at the instep. I guess I will have to find another "favorite" shoe.

The cutest -
Dr. Martens are the best work shoes ever. These ones are comfortable and feminine (some styles are clunky/masculine). I wear them as a waitress and also around town. I didn't even need a long break-in period as I have with other Dr. Martens.

These shoes are great. The wide width is a little wider than expected but makes it more comfortable for my foot. It feels a little bigger than expected but better to have a little extra room than too little!

Cute under jeans but looks a little too big and chunky for wearing with a dress. Like most Doc Martens, they are heavy, durable shoes.
