I've had many pairs of Jack Purcells, but these fell to pieces almost instantly. The outer rubber around the soles de-laminated and the tags fell off the back in the first month.

1st review on Zappos only because I wanted to share that after 2 months of light use (2-3 days a week of wear, normal NYC walking) my new Jack Purcells are totally falling apart. In another few days the rubber outsides of the shoe will be completely obliterated, and even the tag on the back of the shoes has fallen off. Just silly really... I like the way these shoes look, the fit is OK, but not great (a bit too narrow).

These Converse Jack Purcell Gray are great sneakers. I ordered the size 13 and they fit great. Unlike some other Converse they don't run as big. Order the size you normally wear or that measures out on the sizing chart. They are very comfortable right out of the box and look great with jeans, shorts, whatever. Very cool shoes.

Cute with a snug fit -
I have been looking for this style for months now before they suddenly got so popular again and I was afraid these would make my feet look longer than I'd like. They turned out to be cute, but snug near the toes. This style does accommodate orthodics, which I always need and is harder to find in trendier shoes. I'm hoping the canvas will stretch a little so my toes aren't so snug, but they are a cute pair for running errands and walking to work.

 |  | My first experience with Zappos.com was during the winter a few years ago when I needed a pair of silver sandals to wear during the holidays. I saw Zappos.com advertised at the airport and thought to see what they were about. The rest is history. During that search for sandals I had as many as nine pairs here to try. They came the day after I ordered them via FedEx and those I didn't choose (I ended up with two pairs) I put back in the box, taped it shut, attached the prepared return label they had enclosed with the shipment, and dropped them off at the packaging store that same day. They were gone almost as easily as walking away from a pile of tried on rejects in the department store! Since then I use them more than 70% of the time when I am shoe shopping. There really isn't anything quite like trying on shoes with the clothes in my closet as well as trying for fit and comfort. It's an ideal way to buy shoes and I highly recommend it!
