I just recently moved from Florida to Boston and I needed some boots. I ordered some North Face winter boots from Zappos.com and I am 100% satisfied. They came in a timely manner and they were a perfect fit.

Good snow boot for my son -
This is an excellent sturdy snow boot for an active 15 year old boy. It's comfortable as well as rugged.

Can't live without them...
Use these for snowshoeing/hiking in the Colorado mountain snow. My feet have never been cold or uncomfortable. Easy to put on and take off. It is a high boot, so the top does hit your ankle, but not painful. If it was any lower snow would get it! You can't beat the free overnight shipping from Zappos either.

I love this boots! This is actually my first winter boots and they are marvelous. My friends that live in snow regions fell in love with them and have ordered theirs from your site. They feel comfortable, warm, rugged and they got appeal; everything a boot should be. I got half a size bigger. I ordered from Zappos and it came in earlier than expected; thank you Zappos

Nice but can be painful -
Like others I too experienced the chafing and pain at the top rear of the boot. I suggest a bandage or some other padding at the top until you break them in. Warm and look nice, but comfort comes later!!!!

Order Up One Full Size!
Maybe even a size and a half if you wear extra-thick winter socks. I tried these on bare foot the moment they arrived, but they still felt at least one size too small. Otherwise, these seem like really good boots.

These boots came in one day as promised. I was a little hesitant about buying them because other reviews said they hurt the back of the calf. I only noticed the friction on the back of my legs for the first day and now I wear them 10+ hours a day comfortably. Very nice shoe and it is great in the snow.

I bought these for my fiancé. He is very particular so it was very difficult to find a pair up to his standards. He told me my selection was top notch. You can't go wrong with North Face or Zappos.

Comfy fit and GREAT service!!!
With Zappos special on next day shipping, I ordered these boots for an upcoming trip up north and sure enough had them one business day BEFORE I was supposed to get them!!! How that was possible I have no idea!!!
The fit had me worried after reading the other reviews. I ordered true to size and they're fine. In fact, they were so comfy I hated taking them off! Traditionally I don't have a problem with footwear so if you're like me, order true to size. I wore a common athletic sock and the fit is wonderful. Looks are good too with khakis or jeans.

Painfull!!!
Don't get me wrong. These boots LOOK awesome. BUT, having worn them twice, not only do they fit too tightly (I also have north Face shoes, i bought the same size) and there is some sort of "support" in the upper-rear, near the top, that causes A LOT of pain. And not a chaffing pain. A digging into your bone kind of pain. No matter how you tie them up. The left and right shoe feel imbalanced. I got shin splints in my left leg, and pain in the arch of my right foot.
These are DEFINITELY going back.

Toasty toes -
After reading quite a few reviews I decided to get these boots for a snowshoe trip. These boots are incredibly warm. When first trying them on it seemed like they were a little high in the ankle but it turned out to be a good thing b/c I didn't need to get the extra coverings so the snow wouldn't get in my socks/shoes. I wanted to get a good winter boot for the trip but also be able to wear it for Colorado winters (where I’m from originally).

Solid boot but not for hiking -
Excellent comfort, support, true to size but not a hiking boot. Traction is average at best, definitely built for comfort and shuffling around on flat terrain.

These boots are great in snow - very warm from heel to toe - but they're a bit clunky for summer hiking. I always feel a little out of place wearing them.

I found a work shoe that keeps my feet dry-
I work in a boatyard and I put my boots to the true test. They keep my feet dry all day long and they are also insulated well. I tried a few pairs of sketchers and they just couldn't hold up. I have had these for about a month and they are holding up fine. I highly recommend these boots.

FRICTION -
The friction caused by rubbing of the boot against the leg (around the rim of these boots) is extremely annoying. I would not recommend these for comfort.

Not what I had expected-
I am a devout customer of Zappos, having bought four pairs of boots/shoes in the past year. I bought these boots based on a previous review which stated... "These boots are the most comfortable I've ever worn." Since the first full day I wore them, the pain across my shin has been almost unbearable. I have to continuously adjust the laces to give me some relief. If I could return them I would. Don't buy these boots!

Ouch! The Chafing!
They look great and are really comfortable, until you walk a while. By the end of the day the chafing from the top of the boot rubbing on the back of my legs was excruciating. The next time I wore them I put some bandages on and it seemed better. Though doing this is a pain, it's better than the other PAIN!

Gotta get these boots-
Without a doubt the best hiking boots I’ve ever owned. They weigh in the neighborhood of my Asics running shoes and that's saying something. My brother was so impressed he got a pair. Get these boots.

Snow kickers-
I think these boots are fantastic. They easily brave the Rochester winter, and they look great, and I think they may also be good luck.
My only qualm was that the top of the boot was very uncomfortable until it got broken in. It would cut into my calf. It is more comfortable after wearing them in for a couple weeks.

Zappos is the best!
Just received my boots yesterday after ordering only a few days ago. Plus the day after I ordered them I found them online for $20 less, Zappos happily honored the 110% price protection with an immediate credit to my VISA card. As far as the boots, they are easily the most comfortable snow boots I have ever put on my feet. Can't wait to get some serious snow!!! Although definitely the smallest size 10 I've ever had, so you may want to go a 1/2 size up from your normal shoe- glad I did! Zappos RULES!

Great snow shoveling boot!
Received my pair of Chilkats just prior to a 10" snowfall and couldn't be happier. They're incredibly warm and feel very solid when trudging through snow. I previously had an old pair of Merrill boots that finally gave up the ghost, and these are a vast improvement. Kept my feet warm and dry while shoveling!

Best boot ever made!
It's like walking on pillows. These boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever worked or played in. Snow does not exsist when you have these on your feet. Buy them now!

beautiful boots -
I like wearing Timberland 6" boots & sneakers because they make my clothes look good. However, after I tried on the Chilkats I feel like I don't need my other shoes!
