A/E Thayer, a classic -
I've owned many Allen Edmonds Shoes and they have never failed to impress me. These shoes are built well but were a little stiff out of the box and on my feet the first time I wore them. They warmed up and softened in. They are great looking!!

Comfortable shoe with elastic under the monk strap makes them easy to get on and off. My one complaint (and I hope it goes away) is that they squeak. The leather upper rubs together as I walk, making it clear that I'm wearing new shoes. I expect as they break in that this squeaking will stop.

A great Shoe -
I've always been happy with Allen-Edmonds shoes. The fit and comfort and appearance have always won out over others. I would guess I've owned a dozen different pair. This monk-strap style ranks right up there with the best of them. A great look.
As a comparison, I've also owned Mezlans. While their look is always fantastic, the comfort level suffers a bit on my feet.
I recommend any and all Allen-Edmonds.
