Good for my feet -
They needed to be broken in, but once they were, it's good to have solid shoes that support my feet. I've never had a blister from them & my feet don't swell when I wear them.

Holding up well - It's my first time owning Docs. I was tired of other shoes getting moldy every time it rains, or falling apart simply because I do a lot of walking. So far, these have held up as well as advertised (with one exception that was my own fault - don't let the rubber soles get too close to a campfire!).

Not the "Original" Dr. Martens - The boots seem to be of lower quality than years past. I've been wearing Dr. Martens for 13 years or so and these just feel cheaper (thinner leather with a shiny/plastic feel).

Being a long time wearer of Docs, these boots were exactly what I expected: comfortable, reasonably priced and fit perfectly. The sizing on one pair is the same as all. The price is reasonable for a pair of boots that will last at least 3 years of day in and out wear. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn and I wear them everyday!

Doc Martens for my son -
My son was thrilled. His old Docs lasted him over 8 yrs and he's now using the old boots as his work boots. His new ones are wonderful and feel great! Zappos' service is superior. Will not hesitate to use Zappos in the future.

I've been wearing the Dr. Martens 1460 boot for about 13 years now. They're a comfy, well made, nice looking boot, and maybe more importantly, they last a long time. They're kind of hip too! I typically replace these boots about every 3 years or so. Also, Zappos RULES! Great, FAST service. They have my loyalty now, certain.

Cheap, Sweaty Boots -
CHEAP, SWEATY BOOTS. They look good, and take a great shine. But they might as well be made of plastic - they absolutely do not breathe. By the end of the day, my feet are screaming for mercy, threatening mutiny. Same price as always, but now made cheaply overseas. What a disappointment.

Great looking boots -
Took me around 3 weeks to break them in. I wore it during rainy days and after a while it got really comfy. Waterproof too, I use it as my rain boots. Looks awesome and makes me feel taller. Never wore the English-made ones so can't make a comparison, but overall pretty sweet. Took one star off because it hurt a lot the first few times I wore it, but it goes away, just give it some time.

Way to wide -
The regular D width was so wide that with two pair of thick socks and laced tight my foot could still slide around. They seemed like they would have been comfortable but I had to send them back because of the width. If you have wide flat feet this could be the boot for you.

I've been wearing Docs since my college days in the early 90's. My old Greasys finally needed to be replaced about 6 months ago. I was so disappointed! First off the sole pattern is worthless, the grooved sole may look 'cool' but it has no traction. The leather was marred in several places. And the first time I wore the boots in snow, the color ran off the boot. That's right the COLOR bled. Off. The. Leather. UNREAL! Don't waste your money on these impostors. The quality is terrible. Move on to another brand.

Excellent Boots...
Comfortable, cool looking, great boots... I only wish they were still made in England, still great boots, only time will tell if they hold up as good as the English made ones, but they look identical and seem to be of great quality. Zappos is the way to go for shoes and boots. Great prices, fast shipping, and free... What more could you want? I'm highly satisfied with ZAPPOS!

Boots made for walking!
Great boot, felt broken in as soon as I put them on. Needed some additional arch support and they are great. Walked all day in NYC and never felt bad or tired. Highly recommended! And Zappos as always, fast delivery of this product, they are simply the best place to buy your shoes from!!

No padded collar? No problem!
My first Docs from 9 years ago had a padded collar and 6 eyelets. I went with the more traditional 8 eyelet boot for my 2nd pair. The height of the boot takes some getting used to, but after about 5 days, the leather becomes pliable, making the height less noticeable; this is when you can begin to appreciate the ankle support, which I need. Don't try to lace too tightly; I found once I had laced the boots all the way up, pointing my toe toward my forehead and then tying the laces, worked best for all-day wear. Exceptional shipping and customer service, plus all you expect from docs re: comfort, durability, comfort, style, and they are really comfortable.

The thinnest "leather" by far from the Doc Martens line also qualifies for the stiffest as well. Tanning the hide and overall quality was not a part of the process when the Doc had these made. The inner bed is partially glued and will pull out with your foot. Beware: wear these boots and the only Doc you'll ever need is a good podiatrist!

Walk a mile in my Dr. Martens!
I've been wearing Dr. Martens boot for 20 yrs now, they are well-made, very comfortable and built to last!! You can't beat old school boot like these!
Also - ordered these boots on Saturday had them delivered at my door on Monday. Outstanding work Zappos!

These Docs Rock!!!
They felt great the minute I put 'em on. This is the second pair of these 1460s I've owned. They're replacing my first pair that I bought nearly 10-years-ago that have seen at least an average of three-times-a-week wear. And they still have lots of life left in them.

Classic COOL!
Love the Docs! It takes a couple times of wear to really break em in...but they’re comfy after that for years to come. Great construction. Very hip and stylish without that "I’m trying to be hip and stylish" look. Very urban and versatile. I can wear them with a girlie dress for that "bohemian chic" look or totally dress it down in cuff blue jeans and a soft white tee...rock 'n' roll baby!

The leather is thin; there is no padding at all around the ankles. Seems cheaply made. When I laced up the boots, the eyelets touched each other, didn’t seem right to do that. The only thing I liked about them is the way they looked.

I gave this boot to my teenage son for Christmas. He thinks Dr. Martens are retro and very cool. They take a few days to break in, but now are very comfortable. Some guys in his school went out and bought them after seeing his last week. They paid more at the shoe store. I was glad of the great price on Zappos.

Same size, different fit.
I had purchased the "Dark Brown" color at a local shoe store, with all of the creases in the leather. Cool. Size 9. I had to have a matching black greasy pair, so I ordered them here. They did not even come close to fitting. A full size smaller than the brown pair. I sent them back (bravo to Zappos for their customer service), and got the 10. They fit in the length, but to get a decent snug fit, I have to tighten the laces so the eyelets are almost touching. I'm not looking forward to the leather stretching.

Very Comfortable boots -
I was looking for some comfortable boots to wear while riding my bike. I have looked at several before I found these Dr. Marten's 1460. They are very light and very comfortable. I friend of mine has a pair, and he stated, "it's like wear bedroom slippers". I have to agree. I also thank Zappos for being such a great business. They let me order two different boots and return the one I did not like. They even paid for shipping both ways. Can't beat that. It's like shopping at home without the cost of shipping. I will be ordering more from Zappos. Big thanks to Zappos.

Doc Martin's Customer Service stinks -
Boots fit great from the start, everything was perfect for about 3 months. Then one day when I got into work I noticed that the tag I've been using to pull the boot on ripped the entire stitching out of the boot and everything was torn. I contacted DM and they said the tag is a "fashion tag" and shouldn't be used to pull the boot on. Told me to get them sewn and they'd pay. Big deal, the boot was defective, give me new ones. Wouldn't do it so I'm done with DM's...Beware, customer service is NOT friendly.

Several sites popped up. I went to a few sites to compare prices and finally landed Zappos.com. I am so glad I did. The free shipping was great and brought my cost below the other sites' costs for the same item. However, after placing my order, within a few hours I got an email notifying me that my shipment would be sent in 24 hours. I had planned to present my daughter with this gift at her party on Saturday, however, her birthday was next day. Can you believe it! We received the sneakers within 24 hours of ordering it, on her birthday. This was the best service I've received online or in person for that matter.
