Excellent!! I stepped right into it and was comfortable. I usually go to a department store and try on the 1 or 2 shoes in a wide fitting, to no avail. Good shoe, good price, great fit.

Rockport's Evander - no problems so far -
I have ordered in the past from Zappos.com and have been extremely satisfied each time. My favorite shoe right now is Rockport. This Rockport Evander is a comfortable shoe and in the size, color and style I preferred. The look of the shoe is a bonus to me as comfort comes first. Rockport has many sizes, styles and colors to choose from and I would not have known this if it wasn't for Zappos.com. When you go to a store to find a shoe whether it be a department tore or the local shoe store they are limited in these categories. Thanks to Zappos.com I can easily find any shoe to my liking and not come away saying I shouldn't have purchased this or settling for what they have. I find myself recommending Zappos as my favorite shoe store and I am by no means a shoe man. This is what Zappos has done to me. It made me actually like shoes. For me this is something new. Service, quality and ease of use, there is nothing bad about buying shoes for me anymore! Thanks Zappos!!!

Needs breaking in -
Impressed with the size selection-my husband wears a 13B so it's difficult to find a shoe that fits. Leather is a little stiff so they need to be broken in but are still fairly comfortable to walk in. Most impressive was the FAST delivery. This was the first time ordering from Zappos and received the shoes in 3 days.

I am very pleased with this shoe. I think the title says it all. I am also impressed with Zappos service and their delivery time. I will buy more shoes here and let’s hope they all fit like these Rockports.

Great look, bad fit -
I've worn these shoes for six months and thought they just needed to be broken in. I own other Rockports and this is the only pair that's been painful to wear. As another reviewer mentioned, they pinch on the top just inside the eyelets. It's gotten to the point where I have a bruise that hurts when I put on comfortable shoes. I would recommend against buying these shoes.

Good shoe for the price.
I like the brown color. A "D" was too tight (more like a "C"), but the next widest "EE" is just a tad wide. Wish they had an "E". Other than that I am happy. Performed an exchange and again I am impressed with the high level of Zappos customer service.

Bought them for my husband...
For his birthday, he wanted BROWN shoes. These appealed to him in the picture. They're "fine" is his comment, but that's a compliment from him. After being broken in ("a little stiff"), they're good now.

I am a mother of a big big boy! I needed a pair of shoes for his Prom that would be good looking, filled with a certain quality and was most of all comfortable for him to stand, dance and have a great time in! Well I am happy to say that my boy came home from the Prom and stated after a long night of the (prom): "Mom I had a great time and not once were my shoes uncomfortable. I feel like I can go even longer on my feet." That was the test and I must say they were absolutely beautiful on his feet, highly recommend, and thank you!! , now I have a place to come for my son's big and tall needs, a place that I can trust...HE WILL WEAR THEM FOR GRADUATION DAY AS WELL :)

This is probably a pretty good dress shoe for the price. The rubber sole is probably going to be pretty durable over time. Shortly after I began wearing them the leather along the seam on the toe tore when I bumped it against something. I'm not sure these are going to be extremely durable, but they'll do the trick.

The Evander shaved a few layers of skin off my left pinkie toe the first two days I wore them. After that painful break-in period, they fit comfortably now, though it still feels sometimes as if the moderately tightened laces are hampering blood circulation to my feet. Both shoes have developed perforations on the sides after 1-2 weeks, but it might be because of my skinny feet. The shoes look better than the rather unflattering photos shown here.

I couldn't be happier!
These shoes are so comfortable. They have very nice insoles, keep my flat feet happy without my inserts. They look just like the picture. Not to old school, but dressy enough. Love the soles, these seem like they will last for awhile!

Great Shoes, Great First-time Experience with Zappos -
On the recommendation of a co-worker, I placed my first order with Zappos.com on Thursday night at 6:30 PM. This afternoon, Friday, my shoes were already sitting on our porch. My feet run a little wide, so I ordered an E-Wide width, which fit perfect. I ordered the brown colored model, which were darker than expected, but did match the website photo. Great site, great service, great shoes. Thanks, Zappos.

Good Shoe For Bad Feet -
I needed a new pair of dress shoes to wear for my daughter's upcoming wedding so I ordered four different styles from Zappos. The Rockport Evander was the winner I needed. The blucher style toe is what my high arch, wide ball, short toe feet need for lasting comfort. I wore the Evander for an entire day and on into the evening until nearly midnight. Much of that time I was on my feet either walking or standing and experienced very little discomfort even though it was the first time I had worn the shoes.

Rockport's Rock!
I need a good comfortable shoe that I can wear with a suit. These are not only comfortable, but the textured sole means I can walk with confidence even on wet, slick surfaces. Would definitely purchase these again.

I am very pleased with the Rockport Evander. I have a wide foot, and I am usually not comfortable with the fit of most shoes. While it took a few days to break the shoe in, it is extremely comfortable and stylish, has soles that resist slipping, and is very well-padded.

Classic Good Look - Okay Comfort -
I needed to replace my casual every day work shoes. These have a very nice classic look. The insole is quite comfortable, but the shoes were stiff for Rockports. I have had them about 3 weeks and they are just starting not to pinch when walking. I bought a medium width because my last Rockports were medium - they are a little wide - probably why they pinch on the toes.

Most difficult foot to fit - and he is also 12 -
Our 12 year attended a black tie ball last Friday where lace-up shoes were necessary. He has a 9EEEE (yes, that is 4E's!) and wears flip flops 24/7 as we live in California.
Not only did he "OK" these on line, he wore them Friday, and also Saturday out to dinner. In his words, they looked "fine" and felt "great".
